I love looking at the snow.
On the internet.
From Florida.

That being said, no one noticed my 10 day absence from the forums. Here is why I was gone.
My PC blew up. I've been trying to fix it, but mostly only have after work to do so. I had to purchase a new PC and am curently trying to get it to look like I want it to, in case my latest attempt to scan and fix errors on the old drive are not successful. I started that on Friday, and it's a whopping 9% complete. Obviously, I'm not holding out hope.

I got my new TIKO 3D printer to work with as well.
And a new big important rushed project at work.

Yeah. I've been having a whopper of a 2017

For outside? Dunno but I think (occasionally) this one wood beet it.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KUXVKK0/ref=psdc_172665_t3_B00AVWKUXE

It'd be too complicated what with getting someone to do whatever needs doing to install it outside and what they'd charge, so I went with the one that Ken has ...it'd be a lot easier to send back if necessary!

"N I can have fun trying it out in different locations...

So..with this gizmo for local channels and my Smart tv for my Amazon premiums, I think I'm all set!

I agree. $120 is a little high for an antenna. I like this one because it's actually designed to work based on my 35 years of building antennas from scratch. No one can afford to buy ham radio yagi antennas. Well at least no one I associate with. :) I am seriously thinking about getting back into ham radio. That is if I win the lottery.

Probably. That's a lot. Well if it doesn't do what you want it to you can always return it. One of the things I like about Amazon is how easy returns are.

Matt..I revised my post...I ordered the one that Ken has.

My head hurts :D...gonna go play some online Spades....

Well heres a pic of the new ones along with the phone app that I can make adjustments on. It's going to take a little getting used to they have way more motion and more of your foot stays on the ground when you walk. I'll have to say so far I like them better. Once I get them set the way I like best then I will go in and he can set them to that which will put all my settings to 0 like you see but they will actually have my configuration. I can make changes up to 10% he can make more. I think they are going to be fantastic once I get them set perfectly for me which is hard to do when you can't go outside and try them walking on uneven ground. They look a lot heavier then they are it is a carbon fiber housing for the electronic and battery. You'll have to zoom in yourself to get a better look at them. Will do a video when it thaws out here enough to see how they move. Ginny couldn't believe the way they move like real ankles.
tech adjustable legs-------WOW!!! Good for you! and you look GREAT! :)

When you are filled with rage and self loathing and don't want to talk about it but you have to talk about it or you will explode and you wish everyone would just shut up and go away but you need your family to lean on but they really piss you off and the noise is making your teeth hurt and you are so tired but everything is clenched in anxiety and you just want a dark silent room to rock back and forth in but you have to go to the place and do the thing and no one understands why you are having issues not that they would care

Russ, you're tearing (both major meanings) us up!

We all here wish we could relieve your depression(s) and ease your mind. BUT, only you can determine your destiny. Although it may require professional/medical assistance, it is your life, your well being!

Just remember, since you consider da porch a 'sounding board', please don't ever give up on us. 'Cause we'll never give up on you!

I pray for your PEACE and self worth...

@2legsshrt. Just gave myself a giggle picturing you standing in a line & rocking back & forth, heel to toe & your new feet doing all the work for you. You were just along for the ride! Yes, I had dozed off!

Thanks plus I am getting them dialed in so they're better. I think my left leg is a little taller then my right but that can be easily changed. Ginny said I am walking even more normal then I was plus I was having a problem with my suspension liners and she had the idea of pulling them up more so they covered more of my thigh,(should've thought of that) that's what holds the suction that keeps my legs in just the right spot, worked like a charm. So I am a happy camper. A little more tweaking of them and should be perfect. Already got 1500 steps on them just around the house.

Here's our story for the past 24 hrs and we're stuck w/ it.

Last night around this time (9:40pm) there was a loud screeching/scream from the basement. The heater died. 40 minutes later the repair man showed up. 5 minutes after that he said nothing we can do 'till at least Monday. The fan shaft broke and we don't have one in stock for you age/model York heater. We'll call around 1st thing Monday morning and hopefully we can locate one local if not we'll have to order one. Uh oh! Yikes no heat 'till at least Monday and perhaps longer.

So last night built a big roaring fire in the fireplace and stayed up too late just to keep the fire going. Placed a kerosene heater in the main hallway at bed time and an oil based spaced heater in the bedroom for overnight. Geez ... actually woke up too warm ... that oil heater worked better than expected.

Up at 6am started another fire in the fireplace, refilled the Kerosine heater. Then thank goodness for neighbors ... we were basically out of firewood, certainly couldn't get through the day. So we put a message up on our 'Neighborhood internet site'. And within minutes had multiple offers of come pick up some wood at our place. So I hooked up the trailer and got a load of wood just up the street. When I got home their was more wood stacked neatly in the driveway. Another neighbor took the time and effort to deliver some to me. Wow ... how extra nice.

Then I pulled out an old kerosene stove someone gave me. Never used this one, so did a quick clean-up on it and fired it up at in the garage. Worked just fine for an hour. Shut it down, let it cool off, and moved that one to the basement. Figure that would keep the 1st floor a bit warmer and avoid any frozen pipes in the basement.

The we picked up a couple more electric heaters from other friends in the neighbor hood. Never saw this kind before. Some kind of infra-red glass heating tubes. They work ... so nice to have them for backups.

So we're doing good, by early afternoon with the fireplace and 1 kero heater on the 1st floor the temp in the dinning room, where the thermostat is was reading 78 degrees ... yikes, don't every keep our house operating at the high a temp.

So all in all, if I didn't know in in my 'head' ... I wouldn't know the gas whole house heater isn't working. Janet even made some Irish Soda bread today. Good time to add extra heat to the house, and some good tasting bread w/ supper tonight.

So tomorrow morning I'll get a load of wood from the Wood & Coal yard in town and hopefully heater fan can be sourced locally and we'll be back to normal.
