a tax is a tax is a tax....;) and if American's all "thin" up by not buying those things, then where will you go for your tax? Isn't that exactly what we're dealing with in states that are taxing the devil out of vaping....to make up for lost revenue from those of us who no longer smoke?
Exactly!

that's great the last one worked so well! I started on the OA drug you suggested a few days ago. Starts with a C don't remember what it's called. Not noticing any improvement yet. In fact, a bit more pain, but that is likely due to the weather and what I've been through physically the last several days. Will see how I feel about it after a couple weeks.

Glad you are trying the Celebrex. I hope it works for you. It will build up in your system. Don't take more than 2 a day if it's the 200mg capsules.

And I lied about the steroid warning. It's next Thursday, so mark your calendars!

Just for the record, my commentary was not intended to convey any sort of wimpism on my part .. I could, in fact, be the least wimpy person you might know .. my view on things like death are colored by the fact that I watched my Dad wither away slowly with Alzheimer’s / Dementia / and others I have been close to suffer long extended "care" with which they were essentially being warehoused ..

My life has been based on a love of life, my ability to create, mobility, giving back to others less fortunate, pursuing dreams, etc .. when that goes away (although I hope it still lasts a long time .. ;)), I want to check out with dignity and grace .. not be artificially supported by a machine or otherwise .. as well, I am fully in support of Dr Kevorkian and areas that have begun a humane movement toward legal "Assisted Suicide" ..

That said, as I've stated before, I don't have much in the way of people / blood relatives left these days .. so I don't know that if I did, I might have a different take .. Lastly, I've seen a lot in my lifetime, it's been a great ride, when it's time to give up the grip, I'll know .. Until then, Carpe Diem .. :)

When the House is Rockin' .. ;)

Well put....animals are humanely euthanized, I will humanely euthanize myself rather than suffer long extended "care" ...i.e. :

I hope I haven't upset or angered anyone, but this is my decision and choice.

The song post was not regarding "wimpism". It was about that Cadillac Coffin.

As well, in general to the Community at Large, don't take my last few posts as diverting the thread to the "Dark Side" .. :)

but the junkfood people with their diabetes, high bp, clogged arteries, arthritis and whatever else haven't paid their taxes....

food stamps shouldn't be allowed to be used for any junkfood,, but it is.. imho,, and i may be wrong,, but the poor make the worst food choices,,,,,,,,,,its time to help them target healthier food choices.

I agree, a consorted Educational Campaign should be mounted with which to "educate" the poor .. as well as the Middle Class and, yes, even the 1% that need to be whipped into shape as it relates to Food Selection in the Daily Diet .. (no pun intended) .. perhaps Euell Gibbons can be (oh, wait, he's dead) .. ;)

I don't think the monetary strata that folks reside in has anything to do with the ailments with which you speak .. I am not Poor, although I have had times of extreme monetary distress, yet, my BP runs high, I've been on the Cardio Cath table multiple times from clogged arteries and I have arthritis .. However, I do pay my fair share of taxes .. which, IMO, should be used to provide folks with help, especially as it relates to shelter and food .. as well, most on these type of programs are Working People, not the "Welfare Queen" many bring to mind ..

I feel comfortable in saying that, Dr Ben Carson will embrace an agenda of Holistic Fitness as he enters the New Administration / HUD .. and allow Government Food Cards to only be used at Whole Foods Markets .. :)

Ken, if that HD still spins up and, as you said, runs chkdsk... then your files are still on it, intact... and they can be copied off somehow. Even if it won't boot into Windoze.

Colonoscopy comment :: The topic, weirdly enough, has come up fairly regularly on the thread since the Big Bang .. ;) .. I suppose it's not that unusual given many of our ages .. at any rate, since I came up "clean" (no pun intended) a few times, now my DR gives me the "Mail Your Poop To The Lab" kit .. where, I'm sure, a dedicated team of medical Professionals studies in depth the contents of the "packet", with a ribald debate between the team on whatever .. ;) ..

My DR believes it is an effective test ::

Dreading a Colonoscopy? Other Tests Are Just as Effective for Colon Cancer

You just don't know what's traveling thru the Mail System these days .. ;)
Sounds good to me. Going to stick with my decision to just have the endoscopy. That is all they were going to do in the first place because of a thickening of the esophagus. I will ask them for a poop card and get that checked before I go through that again. The endoscopy part is probably a good idea since any xrays of the area look like a severe case of schrapnel because of all the staples I have in there they can't see much.

I've told you a hundred times you and I have more in common than you'd think .. although I do still go in for my regular bloodwork, I tend to not follow my DR's advice .. because, I too, have had a great life .. I also have a DNR .. :) .. when the Reaper comes a knockin', let me go out still a Rockin' .. let it be quick and painless with a pair of 26 year old Exotic Dancers at my sides .. :)

I'll tell a brief story :: My longtime Friend and Partner in Crime, Eric, some years back, began having unexpected fits / almost like epilepsy .. after rounds and rounds of tests, they found a tiny brain tumor and proceeded to watch it and put him on some sort of anti seizure medicine .. it grew, they did a biopsy and told Eric, you've got two years, make the best of it ..

Well, Eric had the resources and the Platinum Insurance, so he convinced himself that he would go for every possible cure, no matter what .. he had his skull cracked open 3 times, got on at least two trials, hired a nurse to help him at home, etc .. during that time, his no-count wife (who I also knew very well) left him, because she just could not take it .. (that's a whole other story) ..

At any rate, Eric passed almost 2 years to the day of his DR's advice .. two years wasted .. me .. ?? I would have immediately booked a trip to Tuscany and spent what time I had left soaking in food, culture and night life .. c'est la vie .. ;)

Paid Notice: Deaths <br> FUCHSMAN, ERIC

He was the closest thing I ever had to a kid brother .. oh, the memories ..
Thanks for sharing about your friend. My wife had a friend who had cancer and her husband left her because he "couldn't handle" what she was going through. When we found out about her cancer, she asked me what I was going to do. I told her she was stuck with me. I think in the back of her mind she was just waiting for me to walk out. That was not going to happen!

The upper really isn't all that bad. Believe me I've had a bunch of both top and bottom. They knock me out for both of em. My first rectal hosing I was awake but, they'd given me a ronking shot of "I really don't give a s..." and I got to watch it on the monitor with a running commentary. Was actually interesting as hell. After the procedure, my best friend who was driving me took me to IHOP. I was staaarrrvvviiiinngg! Anyway about ten minutes into brunch the old digestive tract started a rumbling. Ran to the facility that was all the way at the other end of the restaurant. Hit the stall and out comes the gas. You do know that they inflate you so they can see everything, don't you? Anyhow, it was VERY loud. As I walked out of the restroom and everybody in the place was staring. About halfway to my seat someone (I think it was my friend) started clapping. Almost immediately the whole place was laughing and clapping. Some guy in the back even help up a 10 written on a napkin. Embarrassed yes but, not for long. Some dude (older man) came up and patted me on the back and told me his first was tge same and then he learned the lesson. Still gets em but goes home afterwards.
Thanks for the belly roll!

Hope you don't have a lot of flooding
Wow it's a mess here. Glad we don't have to go to town for a week. We are getting rid of 2' of snow and other accumulations from 1 1/2 months of sub freezing temps in 3 days. I guess this morning commute for people who have to do that was a nightmare. Almost every school district is closed because of freezing rain and ice. They never close up here but they did this AM.
