Hi Guys (and Gals),
Sandy just left me a message (sorry I couldn't get outta bed fast enough to get to the phone). I'm ok. Not great but, ok. I have uncontrolled atrial fibrillation (afib) and tire very eaaily so I have been napping a lot. The gave me Xaralto to keep me from clotting and are running a bunch of test. I had the Holter thingy that you wear for 24 hours the day before yesterday and am scheduled for some more tests next week. The cardiologist is concerned about the circulation in my feet and says there is a bit of gurgling in the arteries in the right side of my neck. He has an excellent reputation and seems like a great guy. First thing he told me was not to worry, we can fix this.
Just been keeping quiet and relaxing. Not doing much of anything which sux because I have bunches of stuff that needs doing. I apologise for not keeping you all better informed and I promise to do better.
I'm way behind here too so if I miss some messages from anyone please, don't take it personally. :)
Take it easy, @MattB101 . I haven't been here long, but I sure do wish the best for you.

This arrived yesterday:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O2M7N48/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think...hope...I did good. I'll have to use it inside as there's no antennae outside...besides, according to the website it'll work fine inside. But I didn't realize it was so big and heavy!!! They have a no. to call for help, which I did last night, to ask just where i can place it cuz I don't dare hang it on these flimsy walls.

Anyway, we talked for about 20 mins. and he's sending me, within three days, a 20 ft. cable ( the length being determined after I measured the distance from the tv outlet to the dining room counter where it'll sit)

I CUT THE CABLE!!!!:D

Now I'm feeling so brave n frisky I might even start using my cellphone on a regular basis and then eliminate the landline! ( Tho I think that'll be a long time from now..)
So glad you finally got something that works.......remember that about you......persistence overcomes resistance!!!
I know how much you researched and yes.....cussed.......to get where you are today.......love you!!!

And so, the Dossier compilation begins .. what do we know so far .. ?? She's a she, and of age, yet under 65 / thusly, estimated to be in the mid 30's, has been off the Cig addiction now for 6 months, owns a recliner, which is a commonality, since I use a recliner on the Porch, does not like soggy weather nor windshield ice, digs the Porch idea .. ;)

Don't be creeped out by my writing, if you hang around long enough, you'll likely grow to dislike it as much as some others do .. It is a long running Porch tradition that new folks outline a bit of themselves, just as an intro, you understand .. :)

although I can't recommend it, since it's a long time commitment, many here have compiled quite complete and impressive bios on themselves over the course of years .. so, if you ever have the inclination, Page One of any Back Porch thread contains links to previous incarnations ..

Many visit, some stay, I will requisition a Welcome Wagon visit with our usual assortment of household goods and other essentials .. although you may not even know what a Welcome Wagon is .. :)

That (in bold) just made me smile. Loving the 'Welcome Wagon'!!

I watched Stand by Me this AM. That is a good one really good one. My favorites are still The Stand, Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption.
Oooh, some of my favorites!!! So intense and so well acted!

Still no word from Matt ?
Anyone have his phone number ?
Just getting caught up this morning, otherwise could have notified you all that he was on Facebook with the updated news.

And consider getting the ultimate DIY/workshop tool and let 'it' do the work for you. Just think it could work 24x7 and get you caught up on the to-do list.

eta: OTOH, does that look at least a little bit 'feminine' to y'all? I might have to wait on the v2.2 (male) version... you know how much trouble them wimminz can be.

Contest:

It's a cold, breezy, damp, grey, dreary day in PA. So what's Janet cooking up in the kitchen today? Any guesses?

I see Ms / Mr Robot as gender neutral .. :) .. However, the planned assembly of the "Robotic Village People Tribute Animatronic Band" (RVPTAB) has now found it's final Member .. :)

Good morning, folks!
Good morning Chels. You must have a good job with internet access. We had computers everywhere when I was working but wasn't till after my legs were chopped and they put me in another job did I have internet access. Course before that I really didn't have time before we just used the computers to log ourselves off duty and give a brief summary of what we did if it was anything that we'd get paid extra for. Plus checking for oncoming trains and crews on them and check so we could see when we would be due out at the other station. Just goofy railroad stuff.
