It's Monday... Blegh
It is? Here's what this retiree's weekly calendar looks like:
Saturday, Saturday, ConvenienceCenterIsClosedDay, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday.

It's amazing how many times I went to take my trash to the convenience center on what used to be Tuesday before I learned it was closed, and wasn't like Saturday.

'bout time you got it. Hope it lives up to expectations after the long wait.
It will tried this flavor before and it was a really great chocolate but at the time wasn't into chocolate but now after the Duck I enjoy it so. Got the flavor all mixed that I am going to add it too, Creme Charlotte and Creme @Kenna so should be good just have to get the % right, going to start at 1 but possibly 2.

@Debadoo Thanks for the soup. Feeling better today, just have this lousy cough. I'm SO sore from all this coughing and sneezing! Mike can't make chicken soup, but he just ran out and got me some cough medicine. Isn't he nice? (Maybe he just wants to make sure he gets some sleep tonight)

Send Mike to WAWA. Unless things have changed a lot, they have very good soup. Not as good as homemade, to be sure, but much better than anything that comes out of a can...

yw :) Jup glad he got you some meds. You sleeping means he sleeps huh :D Glad you're feeling better. Oh I know, sometimes the soreness from coughing feels like you have broken ribs. When I had pneumonia many years ago, I'd be at the doc and have a coughing fit....he was cringing, because he could see how bad it hurt to cough. He wasn't a very good doctor, but at least he had some sympathy

ok.........question for the gardeners. We have two jalapeno plants. They had both been planted in a can together. Then I found out they needed more space. One had one jalapeno on it, and it was much smaller. I expect it was using most of its energy to feed the pepper. They both have had blooms, but that is the only one to make a chili.

They are both in the ground now, but the one with the jalapeno on it isn't doing as well as the other. It's a small chili, should we pick it off so the plant isn't trying to nurture it? For the blooms that didn't make a chili, and just kinda wilted, should we pick those off, or will they just wilt up and fall off? Thanks for your advice!

Well some not so good news. The VA just called me and the spots on my lungs are increasing in size and they are concerned so I'm going to see an oncologist on Thursday. Not what I needed at this point. They said they don't know that it is cancer but the doc on Thursday will discuss more. Like I didn't have enough wrong.

So sorry to hear this hun, but try not to get it set in your mind that it's bad, could be scar tissue or something. Prayers going up

Let the blooms fall off naturally Deb. Chili plants don't like a lot if water so 1-1/2" per week is sufficient. 1 tablespoon of epson salts will promote fruiting on a healthy plant. Send a pic of the plants so I can see what nutrients they may need by observing the stalks and leaves.

Me too Pat. I had a cat scan that showed a 1-2 cm inflammation in one lung. I'm scheduled Thursday for a PET scan. Sure hoping it's nothing serious but if it is the Doc wants to catch it early. Guess both of us would do good with some Porch Prayer.

A little something that's inspirational......

The Heroes Project

Oh ... nice ... will have to try to remember to watch for it later in the year.

ok thanks. A friend on another thread said take em off, but I think she does mostly flowers. Glad I saw this before going out there. I have definitely been giving them too much water then. lol I'll see if my son can snap a pic of each before he leaves here in a bit. I can't get that close to the ground without falling on it, in which case I'll never get back up

This was a weird one. I nailed an unregistered supplier and deleted all his posts. For some reason, upon deletion, they all pointed back to a Social Group. We're still looking into why it happened. I fixed this thread by moving it elsewhere, then moving it back to reset the database pointers to the proper location.
Yay! Thank you for fixing it, I'm so glad we have you & Classy! You're our fixer uppers!

I was outside for a bit today, but mostly inside nursing a terrible, miserable, awful cold. Haven't been sick in such a long time so guess I'm due. I did make some wonderful granola for snacking so something got accomplished, and then I napped. Can't type much with my eyes closed.
Aww, Janet, summer colds are the worst. It seems like everything in the air percolates & makes it worse.

I'd pull the chili & the blooms, & feed the plants to help them through the shock from transplanting. Pulling the blooms & chili will signal the plants to make more.
