I'm really worried about DH's eye that had the detached retina. He says that as of this morning his sight changed drastically and is a lot more blurry when he looks down. And his sight when he looks straight ahead, like when he looks at me, is so blurry he can't make out my facial features.

I convinced him to call the answering service and the doctor called him right back and said that it could still be the gas bubble causing it but it could also be that the retina detached again. He said for us to be at his office at 7:30 am tomorrow…the doc will go in early and examine that eye before his scheduled appointments.

DH has to be NPO again because if the retina detached again we're talking surgery this time. I am so scared that he might lose sight in that eye.

Thanks for listening to me because I don't want him to know how worried I am. I'm the strong one…supposedly…and usually hold it together very well but not so much when it comes to his health :(

Keep your fingers crossed
Prayers up, Bea!

Thanks for all the prayers. I truly appreciate your caring. Unfortunately DH's retina detached again. Not at the same spot…a new one.

So surgery this afternoon…lasering, inserting a different gas bubble and I don't know what else. And it takes a couple of weeks to know if we're out of the woods. Doc said this procedure works in 90% of his cases Again please keep him in your thoughts and prayers because doc also said it's obvious to him that DH's retina is weak.

I must say my little icare mod has been very handy for stealth vaping during all of DH's appointments and wAiting around for every step because stress is through the roof.
Time for high nic? They are seeming to be making a lot of these little stealth vaping systems. That seems to be the in thing right now that and nic salt. 90% is good odds. Sounds like this is something that happens frequently moving to DH's eye. Hope they get him all fixed up.

Continuing prayers for good results, Bea.

You'd think they'd realize that, and put in a nearby smoking/vaping room... rather than risking the family going into cardiac arrest from the stress....

Almost a year ago when I had an emergency stay at thd hospital for a week these little icares (i have 4) came in really handy. I couldn't get out of bed because I was hooked up to so many things so hubs kept thdm charged and filled for me.

As for the retina detachment…no, it hasn't happened frequently. It originally detached a little over a week ago. The first treatment seemed to work (it does 70% of ghe time). But the retina detached again yesterday, ergo the surgery today.
