Well Ginny is feeling really positive today she has an appt with Oncologist tomorrow. My Grandaughter and GGrandson are here. We will take her to the appt. tomorrow. She is doing really well with her PT. She is slowly getting to the point of coming home. We will know more tomorrow. Hoping and praying for the best but she is a lot happier here then at the hospital by a long shot. With PT 2 hours a day she is tired at night. So will report in after her appt tomorrow.

Shortly before this picture was taken on Saturday, my niece, along with about 13000 other people, completed a half marathon in Brooklyn. When I was young, I used to think about running a half marathon.

That's great, Legs. Sending her love & hugs! She'll hit a point in the therapy where it all kicks in & she'll take off walking & do laps around that place!

Well Ginny told them she wants to go home today. Picked her up and took her to her doctor appointment. They did another blood test and some of the results came back her WBC was in normal range but her HGB was pretty low. There are more that will be back later. So she doesn't have to wear a mask all the time when she is out of her room. I will call and find out i she is ok for a flu shot. I need to get one also. Tomorrow they are going to try her out on stairs and if she can negotiate 6 stairs she should be able to go home. I forgot to ask the aide if there were any spare buckets for a commode. If she had one in her room I would have borrowed it sort of. They would replace it. So she might get out this week hopefully. Shes pretty good almost back to where she was before this all happened. She told them that she would be interested in clinical trials and she may be eligible for a new one coming out. You just never know maybe a miracle yet. She just doesn't seem like a person with Stage 4 SCLC which is great. She got to see a couple of her favorite nurses today but the one that wanted to see Jash the most had today off, but thats ok the others did. So shooting for tomorrow but Friday would be fine.

Update for me: I reported my medical issue to volunteer services at VA, and she told me to take care of myself, and don't worry about my volunteer responsibilities. So I am going to vote today and finish up another quilt-top. I need to get busy with home-made MRE's for the freezer. I can do chili and great northern bean soup today. Tomorrow I have a MRI. Thursday I meet with the plastic surgeon in the late morning and with the breast surgeon in the early afternoon. They may send me to do pre-admission stuff between times.

My prayers for you and Ginny, Pat.

Sounds like things are moving along and you're also keeping busy. That's great. You know we're all pulling for you and you have a great attitude. Keep us posted and we'll keep the prayers coming!

Ginny gets to come home tomorrow. They gave us a bucket hopefully it fits. I'll find a way to make it fit. She is pretty excited. They wanted her to stay till Monday but like she said they only do 1 PT session on Saturday the rest you just lay around. She is really tired I think it's the low HGB. She may need another transfusion IDK. Thanks @Iffy. She is also pretty happy she gets to spend some time with Jash and Alyssa she leaves on Monday. She said she did just fine on the stairs today so may not need the commode but you just never know.

That's wonderful news! And that's great that they were able to get you a bucket. It's a good idea to have it just in case. It's going to do her a world of good to be home and spend some time with that adorable little boy!!!

Wow this place is dead today. She's finally home and doing well. She gets up the stairs a little slower then before but still manages. She's glad to be home and we are glad she is also. Now in a week or so whatever they have in mind, has to be discussed. damn she was telling Alyssa how she''d like to have them over here for a while around Christmas and mentioned this may be her last. Things just hit home. Don't even like to think about it.
