You were in a primary strike zone, and still did that? We were in a strike zone-- I don't remember how high, and we never did. They knew from the getgo that it was useless.

YikesTotally across the country from you in Pennsylvannia, but I was in school from I think 1952 through 1964. In 1st grade the school had all of 8 rooms for grades 1 through 6. Some classes were 'split'. Classes like 1st grade and 3rd grade or 4th grade and 6th grade in the same room. The teachers 'spilt' their time teaching 1 grade level or the other.
As the area built up with more folks leaving the city for the suburbs they re-opened the original 2 room school house. I spent 3rd grade and 6th grade in the 2 room school house. It was cool, for special events the teachers just raised the black boards separating the 2 rooms and we had an instant 'auditorium' for the 'whole' school.
Oh we also had 1/2 sessions when the school got really over crowded. You either went to school from 8am to noon or noon to 4pm. Everyone hated being assigned to the afternoon session.
agreed
but by the time i realized it, it was too late

That is soooooooo wonderful!!!! Sorry she had to go through that though!LOL! I find that amusing (the thread not a particular post)because my wife and I just got back from her 3yr post colon cancer colonoscopy! That has a lot to do with why I haven't been online as much the last few years, I used to be pretty active on ecf but we had a bit of a medical adventure that kept us occupied for awhile. She is doing well now and her scope was perfect.
Hate that you have your other problems, but glad the COPD is minimal and that you were able to stop smoking when you did. I'd thought perhaps it was worse than that due to the 02. Very happy to hear it isn't.Anyhow , the results were that I have minimal COPD. Other than that......no problems. Hopefully you will have a good result. Keep in mind that almost everything is "fixable" these days.
oh kewl! Not sure of the year, but my 1/2 sister had a gold duster. I'll never forget one day being sideswiped in it by an actual duster (dirt devil). Amazing the power that lil thing had.I still have my first car in storage at my folks' place. '73 Plymouth Gold Duster w/a 318 under the hood. Fun car.
Nice!!! Me and my (now) ex had a 69 cuda for awhile. Loved that car!!! I so wish we could have afforded to restore it!!(Hmmmm, maybe I could get her to compromise on a '70 'Cuda Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!!!)
she'lll definitely collapse.......cuz if she does it next week, I'm gonna whack her again wiff my fryin pan.......the really big one!!!Sometimes, you have to say no or your gonna stretch yourself so thin you'll collapse.
I think so.........she called me a lil bit earlier........they told her she's doing amazingly well! She didn't think so, because she feels like she's been there several days rather than only 2 days. She may be kickin .... and takin names tomorrow. They told her today they're too booked up for her to do the inpatient rehab there, but there is another place that they can send her that is supposedly even nicer and better food........but that's not the point. It freaked her out cuz she knows no one with a car she can get in......I told her if she does go to the other one.....she needs to make them transfer her by ambulance. Not sure how far it is, but it also needs to be close enough that Chey can get there fairly quickly or to be able to go to Kay's to get something she needs, then to the rehab without running out a tank of gas. And a very main point.........they didn't just book up today, this is something they should have told her before the surgery, not the day after!!!! But, she's been up taking short walks 3 times a day and doing some PT, and they just think she's doing great!! That's the most important part! But she feels more comfy bein able to be there where her Dr is and the surgeon is! The surgeon may do follow up checks at the other place, dunno. Thanks of the update and am happy to hear she made out ok. Hopefully she'll be like the other people I've talked to who said they don't know why they waited so long!
Please don't give her any ideas!!!!Yeah, now that she survived parasailing - she can try sky diving next time around...![]()

And YOU are absolutely correct. I'm going to HAVE to beg off next hitch is this dude is not back to work. I am truly tired. Somebody else needs to step up to the plate. If not, too bad, too sad.Roto woman, I an hear the frustration and exhaustion all the way over here in Au. Sometimes, you have to say no or your gonna stretch yourself so thin you'll collapse. Not good. Gotta look out for yourself and sometimes you just can't do it all.
Ohhhhhh, THOSE kinda rotors! My bad, no offense meant. I hope she can take it easy soon as well, not good to overextend yourself.

I'm still way behind on the back porch but had to post a reply to this as it reminded me of something that happened long ago. When I was on one of my small boys, for you civies a small boy is any ship smaller than an aircraft carrier. Anyway, there was one young seaman that no one on the ship liked. He was one of those people that could irritate sandpaper. He went on leave one time and when he came back he was late and went to Captain's Mast and was restricted to the ship for a few days. As the Sheriff of the boat, I was the one he had to muster with 4 times a day. After one of the musters I mentioned to him that he seemed a bit more distracted and depressed than normal. He told me had gone home on leave to visit his parents. When he got to his parent's house he found out they had moved and no one knew where they had moved. At the next meeting I had with the Executive Officer, I told him about the reason for the young man's being late returning from leave was because he was looking for his parents. Unfortunately, the kid was the .... of more than a few jokes about being so irritating even his folks moved without telling him. Well, long story short, I managed to get the young man's restriction suspended. I had other run-ins with this young sailor but those are stories for another day.sorta like peeking in the window cuz the door was locked
And then i discovered the move....
