Some good news. I got the results of my biopsies, this afternoon. The chemo is working!
<insert Iffy's dancing Snoopy>

I start treatments again on the 19th. This news will make it a whole lot easier! Thank you all for your continued prayers. I'm so grateful.

Ah yes, that certainly is good news!

Seapeach, my heart aches for your loss. Never met Gabe, but he obviously had gotten his life together. How wonderful that you were part of each others lives.

Kaz, that poem was so beautiful! Thank you.

Leggs, so sorry your wife is feeling poorly today. Maybe this is a good thing so you rest up today and hopefully leave feeling refreshed tomorrow.

Matt, maybe it would be worth your health and sanity to just sell the camper as is. By the time you put all the effort and money into fixing it there's no guarantee that you'll actually get that much out. Might be worth it to just get on with your life.

3mg, I'm so glad you were able to make the move into a better place. So happy for you! Now you can live again and not just get through the day in the old place.

So we're all packed, well mostly, and will be flying out this afternoon to be with our daughter for the birth of her first baby. Time has really flown since we first found out she was pregnant and we'll soon be able to meet our new grandson! He's almost here! And we'll be able to give Brian a real welcome home hug! Feels weird to be leaving and not know when we'll be back. We've arranged for our young neighbor to take care of the cats, plants and birds while we're gone. We're flying out this afternoon so it feels strange not to be rushing around to get to the airport. Nice.

wow......no way I'll be able to catch up, so someone will have to fill me in on any important stuff. Sure did miss y'all

Hmmmmm... catch you up? It was.... quieter...:lol:

Love ya, Darlin'... Glad ya made it back in one piece and with a l'il sanity left. :)

Kaez...that brought tears to my eyes.

Sorry, hunny... I didn't intend to make ya cry. :) I've just always loved that poem, because that's pretty much how I feel about the whole process. Once I'm gone, I want those who love me to live on and not dwell on the grief.

But wjat about our private island Kazz is getting us when he wins the lottery?

Sadly, that plan is on hold a bit longer... I didn't hit the numbers. I did pick out the island, though... for a measly 12mil, there is a beautiful island off of Fiji that already has a working infrastructure. ;)

That is absolutely AWESOME news!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Of course, prayers continue for ease of treatment and further positive results!:wub::wub::wub:

Just plain awesome to hear your latest news, LB! Tangentially, I think the advertising slogan "making cancer history" is clever.

I see billboards all around town for M.D. Anderson that uses that advertising slogan. They enhanced it a bit with "Making Cancer History"

Kaz, that poem was so beautiful! Thank you.

:) Thank you. I've always loved that poem, myself.

Safe travels to you and Mike! I'm so happy that y'all are going to be able to be there for the birth of her first! That is so exciting!! YAAAAAYYYY New Baby!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Prayers for your family and Gabriel's family, and for Gabe's soul. Also prayers for my son, who has been waiting for a slot in a treatment program to open up-- he is next!

Prayers for your son as well, Darlin'! It's great that he's about to get into a treatment program. I pray that he gets accepted soon and that you can find an extra bit of peace. :) Also, very happy that you are settling in to your new place and having such fun with it. :):)

I'm thinking a nice ranch in west Texas

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Hahahahaha! I said "quiet-ER" ;)
Blood work came back showing that her liver function is still good, so they are continuing the chemo for now. This is the worst chemo that she's been on. The side effects are terrible. It makes her very tired, but it also makes her mouth, hands, and feet hurt. It's getting hard to find things that she can eat, and we have to put lotion on her hands and feet several times a day. And she lost her voice for a couple of days... it has some really weird side effects. Her hair is growing back, though, so at least there's that...
