So you guys ordered 'small electrical parts' from China too. Just got another package from China marked that way. Although an rba is 'closer' to an electrical part than it is a tobacco product. :-x

Looks like mine says "Electronic Gadget" on this order. It does contain a few cheap attys and a Fuchai 213, but mostly it's empty juice bottles.Oh, and a few notch coils that I've been wanting to try...

Aww... that's so sweet Meniere!

I just got off the phone with an attorney, so I've set the ball in motion...maybe nothing will come of it but at least I already feel better cuz I've taken my health in my own hands...

Hopefully they can at least get to the bottom of things for you! Any chance you have x-rays from after the surgery, but before the fall? That would be solid proof!

Hey everyone...my last post was supposed to be a funny pic:eek:...when I saw that it didn't work I got an attitude and shut down the pc. I've had an attitude lately anyway, come to think of it.
Hmmm... I might be heading towards a rant....

yes, I am....

I think I'm going to try to sue the Ortho Dr. for a messed up job on my hip. I fortuitously saw a commercial the other day about a lawyer that does such things...and I've been going crazy about this damn cracked pelvic bone and how in the world it could've happened and how far set back I've gone because of it.Now I'm beginning to think that it could've happened during the surgery, to be so extensive a crack. I really don't think that a small tilted-to-the-right fall could've cracked my left pelvic bone almost all the way thru. It's been about a month now and I see no improvement, so basically I'm almost as bad off as I was the few weeks after the hip surgery...had to go back to the walkers to get around and such, had to up the pain meds usage daily.....and I haven't been able to PLAY OUTSIDE!:grr:

It won't cost me anything to sue them and just maybe someone will take me seriously and actually do something about it.

I went to my Dr. yesterday but I forgot that he only takes patients in the morning, so I had to deal with a cold-blooded arrogant know-it-all woman who rushed me. So today I made another app. for tomorrow morn. with my regular Dr. ( whom I trust completely and he doesn't rush me and treats me like a real human being..not just a body..he's the one that insisted on xrays and found that I needed total hip replacement and that my hip was bone-on bone)

ok...now I feel better:)

Now I'm going to this lawyers website and check into it...see
y'all later....

For those especially in Fl., please try to stay dry and, especially, safe!

Sure sounds like you need to borrow Deb's frying pan and 'wake' some people up. Best wishes.

When we are at our house we have the internet available. We have not been there for 3+ days, so either Win10 can tap secured Wi-Fi or it was downloaded over the weekend and scheduled to upload today...

I think I know why there are lighting problems with some of the X-Star footage. I forgot that I had manually set the shutter speed, and I need to change it to automatic. Still, I made up for the missing dance moves in the last couple of videos.

Very pretty. What kind of range does that thing have? If it gets out of range, does it just fall out of the sky or does it go rogue and just keep on going? (Kartrina and the Waves' Walking on Sunshine...one of the best feel-good songs ever)

Range varies greatly. I'm surrounded by trees at my house. I can usually get about 1000' with the X-Star and about 1500' with the Phantom, but in an open space those distances increase dramatically. On a good-connection day I was able to fly the Phantom 5500' away from me but that distance would easily double in an open space.

The distances given by the manufacturers (for perfectly clear line-of-sight) are 3.2 miles for the Phantom and 1.2 miles for the X-Star. I have no doubt that those limits are achievable.

The aircraft return home and land at the spot from where they took off if the signal is lost.

I'm addicted to these things. I've had one go rogue and disappear, never found it, and one crashed unexplainably and was lost for 10 months before it was found by somebody. It was totally wrecked in its fall. I put my phone number on them.

What a great hobby! Is there some way you can monitor the video while you're flying them, or do you have to wait until they come back. That's amazing that they come back to the launch point when the signal is lost, as least when performing as designed.

How far away did the one that crashed fly before going down?

Win 10 D/L's all the time. Likely setting up in the background and let you know when it was ready to install.

They probably did xrays or ct scans after your surgery. Any abnormalities would show up there. Your Dr should be able to access those to take a look at the area that is giving you problems. It seems like you should have been better by now. Talking to your Dr is the right thing to do.

Yes, I can see what the camera sees when the quad is flying. There is also telemetry that gives the nose direction, altitude, distance, compass direction relative to me, vertical speed, horizontal speed, amount of remaining battery life, and it knows how much battery it needs to get back home from where it is.

All of the camera controls are available while the quad is in flight.

The one that crashed was automatically returning home after losing signal. The signal had been reestablished at a distance of 4200' as it was on its way back, when everything suddenly went blank. Unfortunately, the video on the micro-SD card that the quad carries was corrupted and I couldn't view it. I was very much hoping that I'd be able to watch the video and see what happened, because the video will keep recording even when the video signal is out of range.

The next time I fly, the video from the X-Star shouldn't have the exposure problems that it had on these flights. My dancing must have made you forget about the exposure problems. Yeah, that's the ticket! :)
