*I once had a '79 Olds Cutlass that burned no oil. In fact, it GAINED oil. Oh-oh! It was gaining the additional "oil" from the radiator.

Yepper, ol' head gasket blown in da rong/wright location... been dere, been 'done' to...

Until the garage had it more than me

I'm VERY fortunate in dat I have an awesome mechanic dat can all but upholster and paint!

In fact, if my engine goes kaput, I'll have him drop in a crate LSxGENy. At least it'll get mo' MPG wid mo' HP dan mine now!

The newest version of the firmware for the DNA200 turns it into a DNA250. That version doesn't yet automatically load into Escribe, but it can be accessed through the Escribe forum. Since I have no use for anything close to even 200 watts, I've got no reason to enable 250 watts. I rarely use even 20 watts.

But, I don't puff any toodles and never will!
From what I can understand the DNA250 is a different board. The FW upgrade will not turn the 200 into a 250 but it gives it the control of SS wire similar to the 250 and the 75. I did the upgrade and I don't have a 250 but it does work very well on SS. I don't know if there will be another upgrade but it is supposed to be a completely separate board.

You are correct. I got confused. The RX200 increases to 250 watts, using the Wismec firmware updates. The DNA200 still has a top limit of 200 watts, using the Escribe firmware updates.

I don't have any reason to prefer my more expensive DNA200 to my RX200 mods, but I'm not doing any TC vaping at all these days. Guess I need to build me a SS or titanium coil and give TC another try!

I imagine that someone will check into into whether vapelogic, manufacturer of storage boxes and caddies for vape supplies, is the poster's own company. It seems to me that it probably is.
I do get your point, but seems you're just giving him more advertisement.

Then a girl with a beautiful voice sang the National Anthem. No embellishments, no singing contest warbles and high notes, just a beautiful song.
That's great! It really annoys me when they change the song all up trying to impress people with their singing

The club offered many perks today, indluding free Canine Good Citizen tests. This is a simple test - walk on a loose lead. Let a stranger brush, examine ears and paws. Sit for petting. Sit, doown, come when called. Remain calm during a distraction (the tester walked around us pulling a crate on a dolly). Walk through a crowd, greet another person with a dog. Finally, dog is held by a stranger (on lead, not literally held) while the handler goes out of site for 3 minutes. Geordi passed with flying colors, so he is now Bijou Luisant Kontinuing Mission CGC. I will send the AKC their $20 for the official certificate. Usually clubs charge $10-$15 for the test alone, then you still have to pay the AKC for the certificate and formal title. So it was a nice opportunity.
that is super kewl!!

I'll investigate whether the electrical problems (sometimes the driver's window won't operate without fiddling with it, and the windshield washer pump doesn't work), are worth fixing.
that stinks, ya haven't had it that long

there are not many Subaru engines of that era that have lasted that long.
In 88 I was shopping for a new car. Test drove a Subaru wagon, and just about got run over trying to get up on the Hwy, it had no giddyup at all

Thanks for the congrats. I did share my ice cream with both Tasha and Gman, lobster is next week and we are stingy...

My 1995 Dodge Caravan Sport is about to be replaced. We have rebuilt it over the years (220,000+ miles), just had the engine rebuilt but looks like it now needs a new power steering rack and another transmission (currently on the 3rd one). We have had it since new back in '94 and have taken good care of it. It's always a gamble buying a "new" used vehicle, but we do have a great mechanic. He dreads when I call him and he hates my little van at this point. Even he says time for a change. Oh well, I will miss my little Sport but I don't trust it or feel safe anymore. Time to move on.

Well, some people did not get the point, and did not realize that the member/vendor is promoting his own products. In fact, several people here are expressing resentment toward me for pointing it out.

I would simply like to see the rule either applied equitably, or not applied to anyone, and there are not any good reasons to express resentment toward me for that. Some of you don't need good reasons, though.

In other news, I went to go take my Subaru for its 9am appointment and the battery is dead. I haven't had any problem with the battery before now. Maybe it doesn't want to go to the vet, or maybe it's telling me to buy a new vehicle.

10 days. I've got a trickle charger attached to it now... I don't have a stronger charger. I called the repair shop and told them I'd call them just as soon as I got the car started.

Yeah give it a try Dave. I use the SS316L from Temco and this DNA does so well with it way better then the YiHi. I'd show you a screenshot but it takes up too much space. I only use a single coil and I use the profile from SE and make a couple of changes. I limit it to 25w no preheat because at 25w it hits temp almost immediately and I use the temperature dominant feature that puts the temp as the big numbers on the screen and if you make the middle setting on the screen temp it shows watts there instead of temp and you can raise the temp or lower it just by pushing the up or down like you could the watts before. It's real handy.

I'll also plead guilty to the same characteristics!

Willie, I just have to ask why you have been the only porcher to make such a proclamation, within my weak memory, on the porches? Apparently it means more to you than to us... You are cherished here!

BTW, is there a tat for 'fame'?

Johnny, I have my reasons, such as they are .. and I appreciate the sentiment, BTW .. much like Life, you can't participate in a thing like this for 5+ years and not raise the hair on the back of some necks regularly ..

In other News, I would like to thank all of you that shared your 9/11 stories .. they will now reside for posterity in a Server Farm somewhere in Schenectady ad infinitum .. and someday, a Data Archeologist in the year 2525 (if man is still alive .. ;)) .. will discover those bits and bytes ..

Got my battery charged enough to start my car, but when I called the repair place they couldn't give me another appointment today. No problem for me, it's not like I planned to leave for Californy or something this afternoon, so tomorrow at 9am it is. I love being retired. Have I mentioned that before?
