That's my beloved, if I'd let him! The lawn is the only thing about which he is OCD. Well, that and his Corvettes. Many an evening, he's sitting in the back yard, pulling strands of something-green-that-isn't-grass. And he leaves instructions for the direction he wants the lawn cut, each week. I just laugh. Green is good, is my thought.

We tried to stay as close to shore as we could actually there were 3 times that got hairy, Going accross Queen Charlotte Sound with about 20 ft. rollers and the fuel filter clogged. I had to try to keep the boat faced into them while my dad got the filter cleaned out. Another when we had planned on getting into a cove and weather the storm out and there were miles and miles of Gilnetters to get through, and another that we knew we were coming up on Yukulta Rapids which was only supposed to be attempted at slack tide, I was driving the boat and my dad was reading the newspaper down below I called him up because I saw a big wall of water it was just coming up about 4' and it was too late we were in them. Luckily it was a small boat with lots of power my dad took it through. There were whirlpools bigger then the boat and about 4 or 5' deep in the center. Pretty scary but we made it obviously.

Yeah we had a good radio and depth finder. My dad had the boat customized with a brand new inboard outdrive engine in it and turned the 2 front floatation tanks into gas tanks and put a metal tank under the floor boards so we could carry around 75 gallons of fuel. All the really scary parts were in Canada. A lot of people think I'm BSing about it but we did it. We were gone over a month. What was cool was all the neat little coves we got into with that small of a boat and going ashore and exploring. We went into one little place that had a population of about 25 and this old man said come on up and see my mom. He was about 70 and we went with him to his cabin and he and his old mother lived there with about 70 cats. He would just bring a couple of fish up and throw them out on the ground and thats what the cats ate. There were cats everywhere inside the cabin and out on the window sills everywhere. Met some really neat and different people.

I actually slept last night h feel human today. Thought I could risk a Walgreens & PO Box run without risk of being ugly to someone. Had flavoring vapemail! Did so well I rewardedyself with a Whataburger for lunch.
Glad you're feeling better. And yummmmm whataburger!!

I doubt your OCD is as bad as you think. My neighbor has OCD - he used a 6ft level on his yard. When he edges his yard he carries a pair of hand snips in his back pocket. When he washes his car he changes the water every time he rinsed the sponge. He dries his car and buffs out every water spot.
Yipes......poor guy!

This was the little cove we got into after winding our way through the gilnetters, who obviously were worried about us getting into their nets. It was kinda foggy outside of the cove and you had to watch for the lights on the ends of their nets so you didn't go between the boat and the light.

I watched that one Willie suggested twice cause I fell asleep half way through the first time. Now that was a Coast Guard rescue. Still said to be the greatest Coast Guard rescue of all times. Great movie by the way it's called Finest Hours. Good show.

I will tell you this - he is a dual certified engineer and has one of the finest looking yards you have ever seen...

But is he fulfilled? I only ask in dat my yard is near da bottom of my 'care list'. Humankind is the only species dat expends so much effort on a near worthless product!

Oh, wha...? Yepper, I have a lawn maintenance buddy to do what my lazy azz got tired of doing!

Well, that and his Corvettes.

Noted da plural. Nonetheless, as long as he takes tender care of our Lil'B!

We tried to stay as close to shore as we couldPretty scary but we made it obviously.

I luv sea/see sagas; even if on ponds, lakes, sounds, bays or otherwise!

Have a few myself. BUT da party would really have had to wind down to share 'em to garner interest. Do have a respectful fondness fer da 'Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind' (aka waterspouts/squalls). Which led to encounters of da 'fifth' kind...

BTW, one of my fav songs...

Day-um luv his music!

'Nother fav nautical cut...
