They still have leashes for kids, but too many people view it as a barbaric thing to use. Personally I've seen kids who definitely need to be on them and some parents who should be forced to learn how to use them.
They are great for kids that donvt want to be in a cart or stroller, or are too big for either, but haven't caught on to staying attached to Mom. He just wanted to be a little more independant than was good for him. The leash let him feel that way. Just a little tug would wake him from his thoughts on whatever had caught his eye & he'd move along with us. But usually when he stopped we'd want to see what had caught his attention, so we'd go lookn too. He was facinating to watch when he played. We'd watch him play for hours. He was hilarious! We could see his mind working things out.

I sure wished YouTube hadn't taken the Pink Floyd concert "Pulse" at Earls Court off. It was a copy of the DVD double I think the entire concert 2 parts. YouTube took it down because it was a copy of the DVD. I'll have to buy that one. Not sure if it was the one in 94 or if they did a later one. My favorite Band by far. Still get goose bumps when I could see it.

Pigs on the Wing - Pink Floyd Tribute | Rock from Portland, OR

Check it out, they are touring in and around your area and it's as close as you can get to Floyd without reincarnating Floyd .. close your eyes and you are there .. :)

The Light Show alone would've been worth it. I don't think I have ever seen a set of drums like he had in that concert but the light show and the way it was set up. We were watching parts of it the other day and I asked Gin I wonder how many of those people were stoned out of their minds. But the lighting and special effects were amazing.

Do they even have them at Costco? I told Gin the other day pretty soon if I want to go shopping at some of these places I'll have to put new batteries in my Jazzy 600 and get a car that will take a bigger hitch receiver, then look out it does 10mph I think maybe it is 7 but it is just like new my insurance paid for it when I was still on the RR insurance. 6000 bucks worth. I used it when I was trying to learn to walk on my rubber legs. Used to go outside and up the street aways. From my understanding it has a pretty good range on it like a few miles. It's a great power chair with a bucket seat but my batteries finally got bad from just sitting and charging it every month. Takes 2 6v deep cycle batteries. Weighs a ton. Even has a little Meep Meep horn.
I would love a power chair. Scooters are hard on my back. Insurance doesn't cover them anymore. At all.

Yes, we've seen them too, actually sprinting into the store in a gentle rain. When we have the opportunity we will say something to those people. I did hear someone say once that they'd just take the husband's handicap sign when she went to the store and she really needed to park farther away because she could use the exercise!
I used to have people say something to me. I ripped their heads off.

Cool I will. Thanks. Still would've liked to have seen David Gilmour and Nick Mason do it.

I'm serious .. treat you and Ginny to a great concert .. yes, it's a Tribute Band, but they will kick your ... .. Reverb Nation does not handle an act that's not great .. hold off on a mod buy and drop some coin on an experience .. ;)

I saw Roger Waters in 1999 in St Louis .. a life altering experience .. ;)

I had good insurance from the Railroad but I'd be willing to rent it to you if you want to come and pick it up. The thing about them is if you don't have one of those $60K vans or at least a pickup you can't take them anywhere. They have a special thing that can be attached to I think it is a Class 2 hitch receiver but then it is out in the weather. Our car only can have a Class 1 or whatever it is the smallest which isn't big enough for them. Then the device to put them on is about $3+K and you can cover them up but it doesn't protect the bottom. A small pickup or a certain type of SUV would work. I can't believe what they want for the Vans. We've looked into it because eventually I might need something like that if I am still not eating dirt that far along. He my motorhome has one just have to drive that gas guzzler around. Try to get a Handicapped parking spot with one of those. Ha

I've seen so many drive up in their BMW or Mercedes and get out and walk spryly to the door.
Well, you pretty much just described my dad, before he broke his back. He'd park his Caddy in a handicapped spot at Costco, but he could still walk quite well. His handicapped placard was because of his eyes.

I have turned my computer off three times today because of thunderstorms marching through. Record rainfall throughout the area today, may give a lot of places around here record total rainfall for a year in a couple of weeks. Creek in the park across the street is five times its average width.

You got one, either use it or sell it.

Must be Debs Spreadsheet!
Blame EVERYTHING on Deb's spreadsheet!

Too many people got them fraudulently. I know one woman who got one because she is an alcoholic with learning problems-- can't pass a driver's license test. And a sobriety test ever.

I have been busy entering my contacts into my new phone. Complicated gizmo, gonna have fun with this thing.
