I swear I looked for the little 'x' to dismiss it! It wasn't there, not at first anyway.

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

It's there DH...just very light....I believe it 's on the upper right..if not, then it's on the upper left:)

Do you have a little flashlight? That might help to see it better...

Ummmm.....no. if it weren't for scooters I wouldn't be able to get groceries. As it is, I can't go anywhere that scooters aren't provided.

Outside of our home, same for my bride!

It's a great power chair with a bucket seat but my batteries finally got bad from just sitting and charging it every month. Takes 2 6v deep cycle batteries.

Ya gotta use the PC occasionally and keep da batts plugged in between usages. Deep cycles are awesome!

I would love a power chair. Scooters are hard on my back. insurance doesn't cover them anymore. At all.

Too many people got them fraudulently.

Ergo da reason I wasn't waiting da minimal 6-12 months for governmental assistance/approval. We needed da scooter 'yesterday'. So I bought a four wheeled Jazzy mobility scooter and a power chair via Craigslist fer $300 each. Both near new!

Just like most frickin' government assistance programs, people abuse wid lil' or no frickin' oversight! Medicare/Medicaid eligible folk were ordering MCs/MSs just so their g'kids would have a 'ride'. Ergo, those dat need 'em now have to wade neck deep in BS just to apply!!!

They have a special thing that can be attached to I think it is a Class 2 hitch receiver but then it is out in the weather.

Then the device to put them on is about $3+K and you can cover them up but it doesn't protect the bottom.

Once I purchased my bride's scooter, I soon had back issues due to breakdown/reassembly of said unit (twice per stop). Took me only four days of dat routine to find a rebuilt electric hitch lift for $1150, 60 mi. away; again via Craigslist.

Have had da unprotected lift fer over two years wid no issues whatsoever. I do spray lube it 'bout every 6 months. Just like my '99 Tahoe, I'll $pend whatever it take to keep it functional!

Remember when they had harnesses and leashes for kids.

Unfortunately!!!

We have a sign for the booth that says:
Dogs Welcome
All children must be on leash

And another small one that says Unattended children will be sold as slaves.

Fully appreciate da humor!

But, I consider child tethers/leashes/harnesses pizz poor substitutes for good parenting! Nature/God made parental hands, eyes and hearts to 'hold' our offspring.

How's the repairs going?

Janet, I'll do an update a lil' later. Gotta get supper on da table... chow time!

I saw Roger Waters in 1999 in St Louis .. a life altering experience .. ;)

Oh no, not another one!

I agree iffy, just too many parents now days don't handle their children, then get huffy when you say something to them. I don't want little kids running through the leash/collar racks, if something fell or they got hurt, I would be liable. My products and displays are not toys. I have also caught children attempting to pocket a small item. That's called theft.

Wasn't a parenting issue at all. He was a very good little boy. Extremely smart & very curious, so we used the leash & watched to see where he would go, what he would choose to look at on his own, what things caught his attention. The leash was really just insurance so Mommy wouldn't get lost. He was full of questions & usually understood the answers.

I have seen parents get upset at the attendants because they caught their kids pocketing stuff. Not getting mad at the kids...
Uhm, yes. And I've seen parents put their kids up to shoplifting, too. They hate when you get the whole thing on tape.

Now, is it Mike's turn??? :D:w00t::lol::lol::lol:

Ahem! Cough-cough ... and I thought we was friends.

On Handicapped parking ...

Went shopping the other day, there was a close spot but when I started pulling in it was 'signed' for Mothers w/ Children. So I drove a few more spaces and parked. Walking back past it to the store, I see a young lady dressed up really fine leave the vehicle in that Mother's parking spot. Peek in her car and sure 'nuff there's no kid in side.

I caught up to her just before she went through the door. I opened the door for her and as she entered I asked "Did you forget your child in the car?" She looked at me quizzically and I mentioned the 'sign'. The she rushed off saying she was in a hurry because her boyfriend was at the register and forgot his id and couldn't pay for the beer he was buying. I felt like tripping her. :-x

I'd have stomped her foot with my cane. At least she'd have had a limp.

They still have leashes for kids, but too many people view it as a barbaric thing to use. Personally I've seen kids who definitely need to be on them and some parents who should be forced to learn how to use them.

I've seen parents who needed to be on 'em....

Mount one of these on it and you'll own the sidewalk.

Can I get that with a remote control gimbaled roof mount?

It's there DH...just very light....I believe it 's on the upper right..

Yeah, I found it hard to see as well. Using ECF "style". Maybe more obvious in the default?

How's the repairs going?

Had the insurance adjusterette swing by early dis afternoon.

Good news, so far:
- new carpet throughout the house (due to current continuous pattern/color; except both baths, kitchen and den)
- new paint in living room, hallway, guest bedroom and bath
- no structural damage to the lathe/plaster walls
- blowers and dehumidifiers out tomorrow (no mo' airport 'traffic')

At dis time, no idea when all will be resolved/completed. Just want da 'aircraft' outta here ASAP! Can handle da rest...

Must say dat da Response Team and adjusterette have been terrific! <grateful sigh>
