Had the insurance adjusterette swing by early dis afternoon.

Good news, so far:
- new carpet throughout the house (due to current continuous pattern/color; except both baths, kitchen and den)
- new paint in living room, hallway, guest bedroom and bath
- no structural damage to the lathe/plaster walls
- blowers and dehumidifiers out tomorrow (no mo' airport 'traffic')

At dis time, no idea when all will be resolved/completed. Just want da 'aircraft' outta here ASAP! Can handle da rest...

Must say dat da Response Team and adjusterette have been terrific! <grateful sigh>
What a relief!

Hey, weren't a couple of your mods damaged as well, they should buy you some new ones...

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Well, you pretty much just described my dad, before he broke his back. He'd park his Caddy in a handicapped spot at Costco, but he could still walk quite well. His handicapped placard was because of his eyes.

Wow. And he was still driving?

We had 2.7 inches of rain yesterday. I unplugged everything when I went to bed (fourth time) because of another thunderboomer.

I have turned my computer off three times today because of thunderstorms marching through. Record rainfall throughout the area today, may give a lot of places around here record total rainfall for a year in a couple of weeks. Creek in the park across the street is five times its average width.
Police are warning to stay away from the "creek"

He was still flying too.

It's possible that I'm wrong. His handicapped placard may have been due to his irregular heartbeat, but he was still passing his flight physicals.

About the only thing that could ride in that saddle would be the fleas...:)
So cute. I couldn't resist when I saw it! I saw one birthday dog that would have been more appropriate for Gary, but no birthday min pin.
