If'n you're gonna get a "power chair", do it right.

The Original Tankchair By TC Mobility

:D

Okay, that's pretty awesome.... I don't even need one, but I want one! And definitely want the Mini Gun add-on! :D

Beep! Beep! Beep! Reminder: 2nd infusion tomorrow! Asking for prayers for brain peace, please! The last steroids just turned me loose a couple of days ago. Just in time to start over.

Today being steroid day, you most definitely have my thoughts and prayers, Darlin'! Praying that things go much more smoothly for you this time around, too!

Had the insurance adjusterette swing by early dis afternoon.

Good news, so far:
- new carpet throughout the house (due to current continuous pattern/color; except both baths, kitchen and den)
- new paint in living room, hallway, guest bedroom and bath
- no structural damage to the lathe/plaster walls
- blowers and dehumidifiers out tomorrow (no mo' airport 'traffic')

At dis time, no idea when all will be resolved/completed. Just want da 'aircraft' outta here ASAP! Can handle da rest...

Must say dat da Response Team and adjusterette have been terrific! <grateful sigh>

Most Excellent news!!

We had 2.7 inches of rain yesterday. I unplugged everything when I went to bed (fourth time) because of another thunderboomer.

Police are warning to stay away from the "creek"

Holy Moley!! Try to stay dry, Darlin'!! You're the second person today that I think is gonna grow gills if that rain doesn't let up!

Good morning everyone. Kaez I hope you and Legs have some good news to pass on.

Yesterday I almost finished the gutters -today is mowing the yard day and finishing the wall day...

Well, Mama was released from the hospital last night and is staying with my sister for a couple of days. They did the angiogram thing through her arm instead of through the groin, so she can't lift anything for a little while. I'm just extremely grateful that they found nothing wrong with her and that the docs said she should be around for a good long while! :):):):):)

Well I heard back from the VA and they are going to give me a glucometer as soon as they can get me in to see the Nurse Care Unit to show me how to use it. With instructions if It falls that low again to go directly to the ER. Well the VA here doesn't have an ER they have an Urgent Care Unit because they supposedly didn't have the funding for the ER. Will find out more later.

That's good, Legs! They are very simple to use... much better than checking blood sugar 30+ years ago. When my Bride was first diagnosed with Type I Diabetes (1980, I believe... she was 10 years old at the time), the only way they had for checking blood glucose was to drop some little tablets into some urine and see what color it turned... they had a color scale for comparison. HIGHLY inaccurate! She got inta a trial for the first glucometer, when they first came out. :)

Speaking of blood sugars and glucometers... I hope that Dennis is doing well. Still praying for his recovery to come smoothly and swiftly.

Yeah that is what I figured now I just got a call and I have to see a pulmonologist besides the one at the VA on the outside and they are picking up the tab for that too. Evidently they want me to have some tests that the VA doesn't do. Man it is getting to be a daily thing. This is getting worse then going to work. Plus I'm not supposed to drive if I am not feeling right so Ginny is stuck with hauling me around. Not sure about this I have a lung function test at the VA next Tuesday then have to see an outside doc whenever they get me in.
I hope Dennis is going to be OK too. I got to looking cause I was unsure when I started coming to this thread and it was on the very first one. Even had conversations with txtumbleweed. Wow time flies when your having fun.

Let's not forget Russ who's having a real blast as well. :/

Good catch - he is on our board also. Actually quite a few of the porchers are. Every week the pastor always looks at me when he asks if we have anyone to add...

Yeah, the VA is good about that. If it's something that they can't or don't do, they'll send ya somewhere that does, and they still pay for it. Prayers are ridin' with y'all, though... you know that, right? I know what you mean about all the appointments. We've kinda caught a break for the last week or so, we're still waiting for everything to get settled on how and when they're gonna start the trial, so no appointments right now. When they do start it, it'll be three full days in a row down there, though. My Bride can't really drive (for a couple of reasons), so I take her to and from all of her appointments... besides that, I just want to be there, too. We're just kinda enjoying the downtime right now... :)
I don't think I made it in until Part Five... or somewhere around there. I've read back through some of the older iterations, though.

Speaking of people who are MIA... what about @Rotowoman ? Unless my mind is slippin' again, she hasn't been around lately, either. Anybody know how she's doin'?

Sometimes I wish I was a dog if a dog had this many problems they would just put him down.

I know the feelin', Pat... it's amazing what we will endure in order to keep on going! But if anyone wanted to put you down, they'd have a whole bunch of Porchers that they'd have to get through first!

Thank you, Semi!! Very, very much appreciated!!

Hahaha! Tell me about it... seems like my prayer list just keeps getting longer and longer! That's a good thing, though... means that there are a lot of people to love and cherish! ;):)

Yep, if I have to I will make them a bigger board. I am already making them a larger bookcase out of scrap lumber...
