Just tired of being last on the list

Oh Russell, so sorry to hear that. Sometimes you just have to make an effort to put yourself first (like they do?) Don't wait for them to step up, you gotta look out for yourself as well as them. Nobody is going to put you first if they don't even notice you except when they need something.

Thanks for all the B-day wishes. It was a good day, spent with family and friends.
You know, I got an order from Mt. Baker in 5 days via ups. That's fast.
Being a menthol vaper, I don't suppose it matters much which brand on that and mints, but does anyone have a real preference on brands of flavouring for fruit. Read somewhere that layering the same flavour from different brands improved the end result? So, for this first order, given that I don't need a multitude of flavors, maybe I should try three different brands of melon and strawberry? Much as I like the idea of baked goods and coffees, they get kind of odd with menthol. I do like it sweet. Going to keep getting pre made until I produce a concoction I like.
Sorry Frenchfry, I've been in Australia the last 15 years. Lived an hour out from DC, always liked that area though. Good luck with your move.

I don't vape any menthols so can't help you there. I get my fruit flavors from The Flavor Apprentice. When I was experimenting with new flavors I was happy with all the ones I got from them except for black cherry. I have tried that flavor from different places and haven't yet found one that didn't taste like metal to me. Of course everyone's taste varies so even if you find one you absolutely love somebody else may say it's awful. It's a good thing we have so many places to choose from - at the moment.

These days, I buy flavorings from just one manufacturer, Flavour Arts (FA). I do this because FA has gone to the expense of having each and every one of the flavors tested for diacetyl and PA at low levels. Not only have they done the testing, but they've made available the individual lab reports. Lots of manufacturers will say "oh yeah, our flavors are approved by the FDA". That is actually BS. There is no such thing as FDA approval of any flavoring for vaping. All flavorings are approved for ingestion... none for vaping.

I buy those FA flavorings here, because even though they're a little more expensive than another place or two, they come in glass bottles, whereas the less expensive places sell them in plastic bottles. Liquid Food Flavoring & Flavor Concentrate by FlavourArt | E-Liquid Flavoring

Now, I don't mean to be a scare-monger regarding diacetyl and AP. There is NO proof that they are harmful when found in vapor products, but there is sufficient circumstantial evidence to have worried Dr Karsalinos, a well-known vape researcher.

Although I add menthol or spearmint to absolutely everything, most of my DIY joose is fruit flavor. My most highly recommended FA flavor is their Orange flavor, and their Vanilla flavor is also excellent.

No, not really. Been ripping and running and went to work Sunday and Monday to cover for my opposite. There was a death in her family. Doctor appointment......run....run...run...

This Syria thing is getting pretty scary especially
I've been following it, although not closely. It's very depressing.

Belated Happy Birthday to @clnire and @Vape . Happy Vapersary to David and oh hell, I'm so sorry. I'm fatigued and forgot already.

It's nice to 'see' you, however briefly. Take care of yourself!

I'm just about ready to shut down my checking account. I was hit last year and the year before around the end of August. I thought I had made it through this year. But, no. They just waited until October then hit my account with 20 fraudulent charges all in one day!

Today I see that they tried to put another fraudulent charge through with the old card number. How could the bank have allowed it? The card number hasn't been valid for almost a week. The bank did catch it, of course. How could they not?

This is getting old.

Did the bank catch and remove the other 20 charges? If so, I'd think that the bank would be saying they are shutting down that card too. That's what would happen with my bank, anyway.

They caught all 20 charges and shut my card down. But, this new charge (although the bank did catch it) should never have showed up at all since it's using the old card number, the one that was shut down a week ago.

That shouldn't even be possible.

Just my opinion, T, and I don't mean to be a noodge, but if the charges were reversed then it doesn't matter. The fact that the bank showed the attempt to access your account via the old card number doesn't mean that you were in danger of actually losing the money. I'd consider it irresponsible of the bank if they DIDN'T show that the invalid attempt was made. JMO.

I know. But, it just makes me feel not safe.

Also, this is a debit card, not a credit card. So, when they let it get far enough to show in my account, my money is tied up and not accessible to me until it's finished clearing up.

Yes, I've been through that at least twice. It's a PITA. The convenience of using cards to shop comes with that unpleasant risk. My only suggestions: get an RFID shield wallet for your card, or keep your card enclosed in a layer of aluminum foil. Tin foil hats may be a little over the top, but tin (aluminum) foil blocks unauthorized scanning of credit and debit cards.
