I've had an idea for a tidal generator in the back of my head for years but need the help of an actual H.E. to work out the details. The principal is solid, it's the plumbing sizing schtuff that escapes my knowledge. The tides we have here in the Cook Inlet are the second highest in the world and that's what got me to thinking about this thing.

well, as of Midnight, I have declared this "Weekend That Willie Does Not Watch The News Weekend"

Janet and I took an escape afternoon to get away from it all. We went to the movies and saw BFG. It was one of the fav books Janet read to our kids when they were little. It was done very well.

(he, he, ... I only saw one kid in the theater everyone else was of the senior age bracket)

Anybody want to chip in so that we can just buy a deserted island out in the Pacific somewhere?

Here start shopping. May the second time around it'll work for us porchers.

After thought ... who was it that got me started on the Legend of Drizzt. I'm on book #7 now. This from someone who never read a 'fantasy or sci-fi' book in his life.

Robert Jordan's Wheel of time series is one of my all time fantasy favorites. It is however a rather large undertaking to read as it is VERY long. In fact the author died before finishing it but the hand picked person who finished it did a good job of it.

I just spoke to Debadoo. She's doing fine, despite the presence of three cats, the absence of internet access, and 42 acres of uninhabited land. She sends her love to everyone, and asked that I bop @oldbroad with the frying pan @garyoa1 so generously offered. Gently, of course, so as to cause no additional injury. Her friends return on Sunday; she'll be back Sunday night or Monday.

Aw Kenna...that's so sweet! Your commiseration takes away a lot of the pain! I was outside today playing in the dirt for just a little while...seems to have loosened up the stiffness...I was probably babying it too much!

I go to the surgeon on Tues. to have him check it out and do an MRI also, to check that all the metal is still in place and i didn't do any big damage...which right now i'm finally sure that i haven't...yippee!
