Oh Lord, I hope this isn't catchy! Normally, I go to sleep between 10 -11 each night and am up at 6-7.

For the past two nights, up at 3:30 can't get back to sleep and then nap during the day only to repeat the same thing all over again.
Same here. I go to sleep between 12 & 1, & wake at 6 or 7. I was doing better, but the pet sitting threw everything off since I have to get up to let the pups out.

Good article... thanks iphphy! Didn't realize the moonset was ~1 am 'your local time'

Our house is in the proverbial 'middle of nowhere' - in the country - no neighbors, no lights... we do have a mature pine/oak woods just to the south of us, but plenty of dark sky otherwise... I just hope the clouds cooperate. My kids don't know it yet, but I plan to wake them up so we can all go outside for awhile. We're all headed to accompany daughter to college tomorrow morning, and we won't see her for a good while... hopefully this will make some good memories.

And my eyes won't take 30 minutes to adjust to the darkness (as the article said) - they'll be closed until ~midnight anyway

"up at 3:30 can't get back to sleep" has been the same for me for the last year or two, at least that long... really messes up my workday. Being self-employed means also having to be self-motivated... tough when you're sleepy by early afternoon.

I'm still not sure I've got the shutter set to fully automatic. New quad, new system to learn. Same simple flight pattern as in yesterday's video. Semi-uncoordinated body movements included. Flying just after dawn at 7:03 am.

Do you already know what music you're going to use? That dance was in perfect time!

Yup, I've often wondered that myself. For me it's about the same, between 3 & 4 a.m. It's also odd that it doesn't matter what time zone you're in???????????
Around 11:00 to midnight you shouls start seeing them.
That'd work for us because we've lost a couple of hours of day light since June 21st. Our issue now is the continued crappy weather........

Okay, this is a little out there and WAY O.T. but if anyone is a gamer at all, this one's awesome, in my opinion.
Before I post the link I do need to say that if you have an aversion to middle East war, PTSD or other issues with soldier/enemy situations, this game is not for you. It's called Sniper Team and you are 4 different snipers in 4 different locations, trying to defend a mobile missile in the center of a city. It's not particularly graphic but does involve shooting enemy troops, so........ It also takes a while to load, at least on my system/server but well worth the wait if it IS your cup of tea. ;) Okay, here's the link.............

Howdy Kazz! Oh man! Don't remind me!!! The trees are already starting to go yellow & orange. Not that that's not pretty but it seems like we only had one really nice week of weather all "Summer" and Fall is already rushing up on us!!! The garden has been devastated. The Red Leaf Lettuce got completely wiped out, the Walla-Walla Onions might be big enough for use in martinis, the peas didn't even fill two zip lock baggies and the Brussels Sprouts are "trying" but I don't think they're gonna do much either. The Romaine morphed into some kind of "individual leaf" plant, although they do look delicious and will probably yield at least a few salads. The second run of radishes are only so-so as far as the leaves go, hopefully the Radishes themselves got bigger than that last pathetic batch! Oh well. It was worth a try and it was enjoyable tending to it as long as we did. We'll have a good bed to transplant the wild Strawberries and Raspberries in, if nothing else. ;) :thumb: We may go the green house route next Summer. ;)
