@CasketWeaver
Weaver, I'm interested in playing with Linux again in the near future. I have limited experience with the Ubuntu, Mint, and Puppy distros, but it's been quite a while since.
...should have some 'extra' time soon - my daughter is leaving for college this Friday, my son is gone from 7a to 7p on his new job (hour commute one-way, and he goes to the gym for an hour/day), my wife is often working overtime these days 'cause they are short-staffed in her office right now, and I've sworn off wasting any more time reading/viewing ANY news and current events on ALL devices - to include smartphone, tablet, laptop, and TV... period!
(I can see a bad case of 'empty nest syndrome' oncoming)
So - I plan to download the openSUSE ISO and burn it to a DVD or USB stick. My current laptop will boot from either one -or- I may eventually make a dual boot or VM on my Win7 laptop.
After seeing your post this morning, I've done a little research (very little so far), and have one question for ya:
Is this the Distro I should DL? I don't yet understand the differences between all the variations, and plan to start the DL on one of my little-used home PCs when I leave for work one morning soon. TIA
