Well the drama storm struck here tonight, step daughter lost it and stormed out, abandoned her son with his father, and drove off into the night, not telling anyone where she was going and not planning to come back.

Stupidity on parade.

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.
I'm sorry for the drama, but hopefully this will end up with y'all having less drama. Likely she will be back. If she is the type that could just abandon her son and not look back, he's better off without her and I don't even know the daddy, but at least he's got you. But I do know from experience, when a parent doesn't want you, you're better off without them.

I'm new on the porch but not to vaping. Hellooo!

Ain't it grand to be retired! Did the same almost three years ago (quit my job, got SS and moved to NE FL). Who needs that horrid weather up north! Is that your parrot in the photos?

Yep, A Quaker, Ozzie Bird.

@Kaezziel, I'm so sorry to hear your news. My heart hurts for you and your beloved. All my love...

Thank you, Dearest! I've been worried about you, too. Between your ECF sabbatical and the recent storms... I was hoping that you were huddled deep into your nest and not getting too much of the wind and rain. :)

We talked a lot this weekend about possible treatment options. It seems that she isn't going to accept any Phase I or Phase II trials. There are a few other options that she is considering; one being a clinic in CA that does immunotherapy. We don't have all of the details yet, but that seems to be the direction that she is leaning. She is VERY tired of being poked and prodded and pumped full of chemicals, and she just doesn't wish to be used as a lab-rat for a Phase I trial. I definitely can't say that I blame her. Phase I trials are all about the research and not really about the patient at all.

I've still got a lot of catching up to do after being offline for the past three days, but as soon as I got the notification that you'd tagged me, I just had to come running in here!:wub: So VERY, VERY HAPPY to see you!

:) Thank you! As I've promised before, I will continue to keep everyone updated on things as they progress. It isn't the happiest of subjects, but we appreciate everyone who follows us through this. The abundance of love and support that I've found here definitely shows me that none of us are ever alone! And for that, I am eternally grateful!

Good night form Fort Myers

Nice to see you again. Sounds like your 110% into retirement already. Nice pictures. My sister and husband sold their house and were RV gypsys for a number of years. They loved it. Now they have a small place close to their daughters here in PA and a trailer parked in Myrtle Beach.

@Kaezziel, I'm so sorry to hear your news. My heart hurts for you and your beloved. All my love...

Hi @LittleBird ... glad you could flit by.

Peds butterfly here. Anything else and my veins blow out. No digging either, I give 'em 2 tries then insist they go get someone who knows what they are doing.
Good for you. I do the same. I'm not mean about it. I ask politely.

For some reason some people (my hubby included) are afraid to make waves with medical staff. But if you think about it they work for you. Basically you've hired them.

When I first met him here, he spent most of his time watching TV, sitting in his recliner, and complaining about his health problems. Matt, you have come a long way. Every year, you get a year younger.

I've been the whole route with the medical procedures. I'm quick to thank them when they do well, & equally quick to stop them when they aren't. And when they are just being cruel....well, look out!
