Just go up front, grab the mic at one of the registers and page her over the PA system.

That reminds me of when our son was little. I told him if we ever got separated in the store and he couldn't find me to just go up front and that's where I'd look for him. Sure enough, one day we lost each other. There I am running all around the store franticly looking for him when I hear an announcement about a little boy up front. Duh! He did exactly what I told him to do. He listened to me better than I did! Anyway, it worked. Those PA systems work for more than playing dumb music.

They also work quite well in an entire mall. When my granddaughter was about 4, we were in a store in a mall. I turned my back to look at something ( bad grandmother..) and when I looked back she was gone. I headed out of the store.... frantic... into the mall and over the PA system...." would Tara's lost grandma please come to the security booth where Tara is waiting"..... She had gone directly there and reported me as missing...

Yeah, security is always on the lookout for lost kids, especially in malls. Our friend's little boy was being walked out the mall entrance door when they nabbed the guy. We went to Disney World once and noticed what appeared to be a lost kid. Within 60 seconds there were 4 Disney security people surrounding him! Good job!

and some of us heavyweights are also disabled......that's how we became heavyweights. :D I wasn't fat til I got to where I couldn't move too well.
It goes both ways. Excessive weight is both a cause and result of impaired mobility. I had no need to apologize when I was using them, and that had more to do with working too long and hard and ignoring fatigue and stress.
What a nutty post for Matt's birthday!! LOLS.

Is she turning the mod off when she's not using it? Mine stays lit up if I leave it on. I turn all mine off when not using them. Except the Hexesn there is no off for them.
I just assumed they went off when they were inactive for a certain amount of time.

Yeah I know that I've been there 300lbs worth but I've seen too many people that have no apparent disability use a handicapped spot. Maybe there are and I was just using it as an example. Some people are heavy and have a disability and I don''t have a problem with that. I do have a problem with people who are not disabled but have the sticker anyway. I've seen so many drive up in their BMW or Mercedes and get out and walk spryly to the door. I wasn't picking on people who ar overweight me and Ginny have both been there. So let's pick on rich people who have a pull with their docs and I've seen a lot of those too. Go to Costco sometime and try to get a handicapped spot.

Some do, some don't. That's one reason I like the Hybris better than the Rider Robust. The Rider Robust eats batteries fast, even just sitting around on standby. The Hybris is essentially the same mod, but with slight improvements. Like the fact that it doesn't eat batteries on standby.

BTW, the Hybris is gone! No more available. It's a sad day.

Remember when they had harnesses and leashes for kids.

I was not visibly disabled for many years. To most people I still am not. I didn't even use a cane until 2011. But I've not been able to walk very far for much longer than that, & a cane would not helped. I could walk fine, until my back zapped me & then I had to sit down & that was it. No matter where I was I had to sit down. Then I developed the wobble to the right, & had to start using the cane.
I have an appointment Oct 11th with PC about this anxiety & finding out why I don't have veins on my right side. Might by an angio in my near future. Last one was in Sept 2010 when they found the blockage on the left & I haven't been back since. Looking at several medical procedures soon.
At Walmartn finding a scooter after 10:30 am is impossible. And that's if you can find a HC parking spot.
At Kroger good luck finding a scooter with a charge on it.
