We are looking to get a new one, ours is about 25 years old and was leaking so we stopped using it. Looking at a Kitchen Aid with lots of nice features for $539 including installation at Best buy. After that a new range and over the range microwave. Oh and it has heated drying. From what I remember Kitchen Aid makes good dishwashers.

I sincerely wish I had had that option when my cat friend of 20 years started having seizures one morning. Unfortunately it was in the middle of a hurricane (not kidding Ike was no fun here) and we couldn't get her to the vet. She died within 24 hours of the first seizure. :(
Myrany I'm so sorry you lost your friend this way ((((hugs))))

Sterilized, but not clean. I guess I've never had a really good dishwasher.

What a horrible experience!
We just wash all the food & junk off before putting things in the dw. We've been in apartments for over 20 years but the dishes are too hot to handle, we always have to let them cool down to unload.

We don't wash anything. Just scrape the heavy stuph off n' throw em in. No fuss, no muss.

It'ss too late now and I know it is hard to watch something like that. Our first old girl that got liver cancer probably from the meds she was having to take for her hips. We could barely get her in her kennel that night and the vet said to give her a hydrocodone which we had on hand and she was gone by morning. The other one that was a lot less active then Sadie was lasted 4 more years and when it was time I had a vet come to the house to take care of it. It was still really sad.
How nice of your vet to come to the house. I wish all vets would do that. It's a lot less stressful for the pet and the owner. So many of our clients were grateful to our vets for going to the house because they told us their pets always knew they were going to the vet when they turned to our street and they hated coming there. I was glad when those pets' last moments could be spent in their own home.

Always ask your vet if he/she would come to the house. If they wont ask for a sedative you can give your pet before you head to the clinic for that final visit so your pet wont be afraid or stressed.

Exactly my cat always knew the car meant one of 2 thing, the vet or we were moving again. Neither one she was happy about. She was a Maine .... and not subtle about voicing her opinion on the matter either. We had to hide boxes and suitcases or she would deliberately pee on every one.

. From what I've heard, ProVape isn't planning to fight anything, but just shut down when the poo hits the fan. I just hate seeing so many businesses devastated.
Whaaaaat? I haven't heard that. Are you sure? OMG I hope not :(:?:

i was bored 1 summer so i took a job there asking for 'outside'.. (wanted to maintain my tan)......at the end of the summer Tilman Fertitta showed up at my hotdog stand wanting to know how i jumped sales +400% -- i told him that i was instructed to stand behind the booth,, but the kids coming off the rides were on the path out front.. and if i put tons of cotton candy bags all over the booth and simply greeted the kids i practically had a sale because the kids didn't see me at all.. all they saw was candy.. and kids controll their parents wallets. after that summer i quit..(i dont like cold) they kept calling me to come back lol

We always went to Clear Lake Park to watch the fireworks on the 4th. So many places along the lake have fireworks shows. They start at The Hilton & light up one after the other all the way to the bay. It's like they trigger each other. Haven't been in years now. The traffic has just gotton too bad & none of those yankees know how to drive friendly.

totally agree with this! Have been happy with everything I've gotten based on their advice, and so nice it's online now.

My bosses did it for any client who asked with whom we had a long relationship. I've also been told by co-workers thst some vets are willing to do it but charge extra.

Same thing Ginny does. Practically clean when they go in.

We just rinse it all off & then put them in the dw. Really hard things get soaked to get all that off & then in the dw it goes. I remember when dw started showing up in new homes. They were terrible, & the manuals would tell you to clean everything off first. We just never stopped doing it.

Yeah, back then it was... why buy one if I have to wash it first? But new ones also have a built in garbage disposal as well so small stuff is... small stuff for them.

Re DWs, apparently we've been very fortunate, since 1970, in selecting da good ones. We mutually agreed to get a Kenmore portable (roll 'round mitt butcher block top) for our major first wedding anniversary present due to Patty working. We wanted mo' time together post evening repast!

Believe it or not, but dat DW spent da next 15 years in Denver, Germany, Idaho, South Carolina and came home with us to Florida to militarily retire. Actually not retired, I sold it to a young tech at my new employment for $50 (at his insistence), and I know he had it for at least 'nother four years.

...and hope you didn't have to go to the bathroom in the meantime...

I mastered stealth wizzing in Texas...
