Bottom fridge freezer compartments make soooo (too much?) sense; warmer air rises and cooler drops!

We will be without wireless for 60 days. .

so glad it's only temporary! And hope this teaches whoever it was and everyone else a lesson!!

That is my favorite out of all the ones I have.(and you know the Mistress of Gifness has a bunch) I used to wear pigtails and I have a habit of putting my hand over my mouth when I laugh real hard. The laugh that is right before I do a "snort". bahahahahaha

I stopped shopping at Sears when they stopped selling the double dipped chocolate peanuts. They where my favs.

Janet, I sure hope Mike start feeling better real soon. Bless his heart. Good thoughts and prayers coming from everyone here.

Finally you made a post with a buncha smileys and I didn't have to swipe none of em...... (cuz I'd already swiped em) time to post new ones!! lol j/k

As to the appliance talk. Only major appliances I've ever bought were a W/D. Always bough kenmore power mate vacuums and loved em! Have had 2 and they last forever. Tried to get a maytag washer but they were skinny around and very deep, and I didn't want that, but got a different type at Sears that wasn't as deep and bigger around. can't remember now what it was, but we bought it in 96 and it lasted til this last move in 2012 when my son accidentally dropped it hard off the step even though it was on a dolly. It was a big step. Would have lasted who knows how long if it hadn't been for that.

The suspense is killing me - I want to see the new Forum software...

Good Morning Everyone...

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forum-how-tos/666330-xen-foro-tips-tricks.html you can see some videos and screen shots here. Some things look really kewl! there are some guides on how some things work and how to sign in etc.

Watching the news this morning (since I still haven't been able to sleep) and there is a goat in Mexico that paints.
I haven't painted since I started vaping and I think I'm turning into an old goat. Anybody want a piece of artwork for $40????

omgggggggg that woman on there has more money than sense.......$2,000 for a painting done by a goat???

I get the feeling that you're trying to atone for Janet's new kitchen...

Yes Nod Once.gif

I think you got it. The heck with the rest of us, he took this one for Miles! Think he'd just about do anything for that little baby!

And don't worry, he'll eat well for a month even if it is in the old kitchen. There was a guy that was supposed to come over last night to talk about the kitchen and Mike called him (before he got to feeling so much worse) that he REALLY didn't want to come here just now. So, we'll just have to wait awhile longer to see about the kitchen. I'm thinking that if I'm going to replace 1 appliance it will definitely be the fridge. Don't know if the cost of replacing cabinets will allow it, but this side-by-side drives me nuts. I want the 2 door opening with the freezer on the bottom. Anybody have any recommendations? Years ago I wouldn't have had to think about it - just get a Whirlpool, but no more, especially given our earlier conversation about tools and what's happened to big headed corporations

I've never had a side by side, but others have that I've seen/used.......my son and dil had one in house they were renting...... I hate those!!! Learned enough to know I'd never willingly have one. They're horrible. In the new house they have one with fridge on top and freezer on bottom, and my SIL has one like that. They're aren't bad I don't think. I like em cuz it hurts me to bend over to look for stuff, and since I get in the fridge more than the freezer, it's up higher so I dont' have to bend over and makes it less painful.

Janet's getting a new kitchen!?! Congratulations Janet. We're getting new countertops. Real Estate agent recommended it. Finally doing all the things I wanted to do to the house for years.... So we can sell it!

Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!

Don't seem right does it?? lol Ok.........started this post over an hour ago but then was skyping with someone. lol

That's a good thing. Most things have pros and cons and it's good to consider them all. The SBS wouldn't be so bad if it was maybe wider. I feel like I'm digging in a little tunnel whenever I'm looking for something. And most frozen stuff, at least in my freezer, don't always come in nice flat packages. They're bumpy and crooked or lopsided so things don't stack as level as I'd like. At least with a bottom one it's not going to puke stuff out at me when I open the drawer. And like Deb said, I'm in the fridge a lot more than the freezer and it seems silly to bend down to get inside all the time. the best of both worlds would be to have a freezer AND a fridge (without a freezer attached) But then I'd need a bigger kitchen not just new cabinets... :glare:

And a Happy Vapersary Iffy. Just had my third on April 9th and completely missed it. Didn't even think about it until I was typing this. April 9th was Lung Cancer diagnoses and last day smoking, first day seriously vaping. May 9th will be my 3 year cancer free anniversary. Both really significant milestones.

OK! It's hot outside, humid too... Maybe I can wait for summertime!

Been watching the new season of This Old House and the kitchen they're building has that. Refrigerator with no freezer and a matching upright freezer with no fridge. Of course they're SubZero brand and I would need a 15 year mortgage to pay for them!

OK! It's hot outside, humid too... Maybe I can wait for summertime!

After doing some research, I want a Dyson CD65 for my next vacuum. Our new place won't have carpet, but from everything I read the Dyson is great for cleaning laminate and there are attachments for general cleaning/dusting.

We have a side by side that is pretty new and the new place comes with a freezer on top fridge. We can put one in the garage and have extra storage. I've never had a fridge with freezer on the bottom, but I think I would like it.

Never seen one of those for real or even on TV (that I know of) but I bet they'd be awesome!! But yeah I bet they're pricey, and so huge you'd have to build the kitchen around em

Janet, for four years now I've had a french door fridge with a freezer on bottom and as far as functionality goes I love it. Having the ability to open just one or both doors of the fridge without having any vertical division of the shelf space is pretty handy. Having a bottom freezer took a little getting used to, but with the top baskets it's pretty easy to keep organized. I skipped the through the door ice dispenser, too expensive at the time, but the icemaker is about knee level, so not that big a deal. I love the way it looks in the kitchen too. One thing I looked for was making sure the bottom freezer drawer felt solid and well balanced on the gliders, they're heavy to start with, load them up and they're really heavy. Keep in mind the space you'll be putting it in, I was surprised by how much taller it was than my old fridge. Also wanted to add that curious little boys seem fascinated with the freezer door, especially if they know there's a popscicle in there, and they don't always shut the drawer all the way. :)
