Dear God, people, HELLO!! I've skimmed through here rather quickly and this is the ONLY thread I've had time to skim though. I can't get home fast enough this time around. Get well sick folks.

We will be without wireless for 60 days. I explained that in one post a few days ago. I think somebody asked if we all watched a pirated movie. The answer is NO!! I didn't know anything about this until I got into work on Thursday. We've been trying to do a little detective work to see if we can figure out who the culprit is, but thus far no luck, and nobody is fessing up. We have some ideas, but no proof! So, yeah, we're all punished.

We've had a lot of down time this week because of bad weather, but I actually fell asleep at my desk last night. Oh well, at least I can still read a book.

So sorry you're cut off like that. I have a lot of internet problems sometimes. I'm very excited about the new ECF software because the internet on my phone is faster than my internet at home. If it's as good as I hope, I won't go through periods where I'm cut off from ECF anymore. (I haven't figured out how to go to my Subscribed thread on Tapatalk.)

Could you use your phone to get to ECF?

I love that little laughing girl with the pigtails. I can still wear the same sized earrings I wore in high school.

That is my favorite out of all the ones I have.(and you know the Mistress of Gifness has a bunch) I used to wear pigtails and I have a habit of putting my hand over my mouth when I laugh real hard. The laugh that is right before I do a "snort". bahahahahaha

I worked for Sears in the early 80's. Their products went downhill quickly shortly after I moved on. They've been in the business of running off employees & customers for at least that long. That's what happens when a company gets so impressed with themselves that they don't think they have to impress anyone else. Saks Fifth Ave. is the same way, very impressed with who they are & total crap to work for. I worked in retail mgmnt for 20 years, some good companies & some bad. The bad ones were entirely too in love with themselves.

I stopped shopping at Sears when they stopped selling the double dipped chocolate peanuts. They where my favs.

Debadoo, it's just the "after the 1/2 priced Easter candy" diet. I took my dad most of what was left. He never gains weight. The man is still wearing the same pants he wore fifty years ago. Grrrrrrrr I'll be glad when the weather and me can agree on taking a walk. I have a treadmill but I am to lazy to clean it off

. And don't know what I would do with the stuff that is piled on it. Gonna be some major Spring cleaning when the boy finally moves out. I'm gonna get rid of some stuff we don't need or use.

I have read where it will be so much easier on tablets and phones. I like Tapatalk but I only use it for catching up and looking at the classifieds. I bet we are going to love it. I saw those yesterday. I have one of the first ones and one of the second edition. The first edition is totally wonky. It doesn't hold my settings and cannot accurately read an atty when it is freshly charged (iLeaf not atty LOL) The second edition is much better IMHO.

Sure hope Mike gets better. If you had a 24 hour bug and Mike is having a 48 hour bug then maybe it was a 36 hour bug and Mike is taking it in the chin for his wife and taking half of hers...

Actually my son and DIL both had it last week and it only lasted 24 hours for them. I think Mike got the prize because he's so special. Glad to report that he woke up this morning feeling like he was on the mend. I'm thanking the good Lord because last night we were contemplating the ER and we HATE going to the ER. Besides, it would just expose more people to this nasty bug. Somebody told me this morning that they've heard of other people have this so it's obviously going around. Hope it gets tired and gives up and leaves the rest of you alone!

Yep, I did tell him that many of you were wishing him well. Hopefully he'll feel up to checking in on all of you later today. He just had some toast and Pedialyte that stayed down and he's napping. He looks so much better this morning.

Must have missed that, but glad to hear that it's only 60 days and not forever. In one way maybe it's a good thing because you do get to read a book. Remember them? I have so much on my kindle that the books on the shelf are just collecting dust. Sometimes I purposely put the kindle down, but gotta say, reading a hard back book in bed is not easy. They're heavy!

I still have some peanut butter Easter eggs in the fridge waiting for me to dip them in chocolate. Hopefully today I'll get to it. So as not to waste those little delicacies I'll just have to persevere and hold off on my diet until after they're gone. I was always too thin no matter how much I ate until I had kids. Even then it wasn't too bad until I hit about 55 years old and then the switch flipped (and the thyroid went wonky) and the pounds started adding up. It doesn't help that I've been cooking a lot since we retired.

So what you are trying to say is that not only did Mike take one on for his wife, but he took one for the whole team. Probably was thinking of the grand baby when he did it (you know Grandpa's). The man should be praised and rewarded - not many would go that far... Shoot, Mike should get his favorite meal and favorite dessert for a month (at least once) and hugs from his whole family for his valiant sacrifice...
