Still up. Went to bed at 9 and woke at 2:30 so that's 5 1/2 hours so if I can't get back to sleep I'll still be ok. Forgot to take my Nexium yesterday and am paying for it now. Got some pretty bad heartburn going right now. Not bad enough to get me outta bed to go downstairs and take something but, bad enough to keep me awake.

OK! It's hot outside, humid too... Maybe I can wait for summertime!

I'm so grateful I don't have heartburn on a regular basis anymore. I had it SO bad for a while!

I figured out what was causing it (for me anyway). My kids had gone to Dallas to visit my ex for a few weeks. My son wanted to come home early. When I was telling a co-worker about it, the heartburn hit really bad, really suddenly. That's when I realized that I hadn't had heartburn the entire time my son had been gone.

I tend to get physical symptoms from emotional stuff. I don't like to call it psychosomatic because that implies the physical pain/damage isn't real.

I was having bad knee pain for a while. One day, while having an argument with my boyfriend, I noticed my knee hurting more and more. It hadn't been noticeably hurting at all before that. I don't know if it was the resistance to kneeling to his will or the urge to kick him. But, for whatever reason, it was making my knee get tense enough to cause pain.

Well I tried. The bird chorus has started up outside so thus ends the trying to sleep some more. I love hearing the birds but, they do make it hard to go back to sleep once they crank up.

Tension and stress can certainly cause heartburn......and can also cause things like knee pain just from tensing up. Kewl that you noticed it though.

I get the same thing from work, and I'm getting a feeling that the new format will do the same. Automag owners.org changed formats 2 yr.s ago and it drove me to drink getting comfortable with it. So I got lots of aspirin, beer, & ammo to relieve the stress. Bring it on!
Hey will this mean new Hi-tech rockers? Memory foam cushions? (no,wait. no cushion wants to remember my ....) Yes folks I'm back from the dead.

Hey Y'all! Welcome to any newcomers. Matt, I see you're feeling a little better. Finally made it back home. I've never felt so disconnected from everything in my life. I could just beat the juice out of buttheads who make things harder for the rest of us who are following the rules. I doubt if I'll ever catch up.

With that being said, let me stop complaining. I'm home. I made it safe. I'm alive. Yep, I have lots to be thankful for.

I say that because the end of this work hitch was really difficult for me. Before I got this job that I have now, I used to drive nights delivering parts for the helicopters. Tuesday afternoon, I got a HUGE shock. I'm still friends with all the drivers that I used to work with. Shucks, I see them every week since they deliver parts to my base. Tuesday afternoon, I got a phone call that one of the drivers had been killed in an accident while returning home from Galveston. She was the sweetest lady ever. She never had a bad word to say about anybody.

Some jerk was driving in the total opposite lane over this huge bridge that spans the Houston ship channel. I know the area well. I've driven it hundreds of times. You can't see diddly until you get to the top of the bridge. She gets to the top of the bridge, and there he is. She tried to avoid, but it was a head on collision. BAM, she's gone. I had a major melt down over it Tuesay night. I worked with this woman. She was a doll.

Sorry y'all. I'm not trying to be a downer. Just hurt, frustrated, mad and sad.

Yeah, Rick. Consumer reports hasn't had a very good reputation in at least the last dozen years or so.
It is for that reason I cancelled my subscription a couple of years ago and not renewed.
I just google......reviews for 'whatever' and get a lot more honest and accurate answers!

Yep, I have lots to be thankful for.

That is so very sad and tragic! Any charges for that truck driver?

Good Morning Everyone.

Mike - Cranberry juice works great for cleaning out the system - also - if you have Tang around the house an extra strong glass - what I call a super shot of Vitamin C can also help...

Deb - my daughter used to be a night owl - till 3 and 4am with little sleep after that - then she started using tea herbs (forgot the type) to help her sleep.

Matt - Gaviscon also helps with the nightly gas in the trachea stuff...

warning - I had 2.5 hours of sleep because my internet went out last night, and it took me forever to get things done through the cell.
most answers may be a bit flip today.

Deb, are they going to give us links to the new site or is this one just going to be magically different?
Well.. I'ts magically deicious, so maybe they employed a Leprechaun to wave a clover to make the change ;)

understand your feelings. It's rough when someone we know and admire dies suddenly. take deep breaths, and write down all the good things you want to remember her for. It's a bit wrenching, but does help.
