WHY DID YOU LEAVE JUST A LITTLE MILK IN THE CARTON?!?!
I feel like I need to go wash my eyes
We used to have a milk program in elementary school, too. 3 days a week we'd get a glass of milk & a couple of cookies for a nickel as an afternoon snack. That was in addition to the milk that came with lunch. We moved to Missouri from Texas when I was in third grade & didn.t get it there. But came back to Texas 3 years later & they still had the program. It was a good program I think. Little kids need their milk any way we can get it into them.18.29 seven-ounce glasses in a gallon makes that last glass 2.3 ounces, not .29 ounces.
Plus, how many households use glasses that won't hold more than 8 ounces?
The rule in our house when I was growing up was: no being CAUGHT drinking from the carton UNLESS you were finishing it off.
We had a "milk program" in elementary school. My parents never subscribed me to it, since I was already overeating at home.
Hehehe... I put that math error in there, noticed it and left it in... Just to see who would bother to do the math18.29 seven-ounce glasses in a gallon makes that last glass 2.3 ounces, not .29 ounces.

Now you've repeated MY math mistake. The remaining amount is 2.0 ounces. 0.29 of 8 oz is 2.3 oz but 0.29 of 7 oz is 2.0 oz. In between the two of us we'll get it right eventually.Hehehe... I put that math error in there, noticed it and left it in... Just to see who would bother to do the math
It's .29 of 7 OZ, which is, indeed, 2.3 OZ.
And some of the "latest" reports are now saying... milk isn't really that good for you.Little kids need their milk any way we can get it into them.
I was raised on 50% dry milk and 50% fresh Jersey milk. Churned our own butter too. Hate buttermilk! Raised about 50 bushels of potatoes, canned a couple hundred quards of green beans, lots of canned tomatoes, pickles, strawberry and other jams. All raised on our little farm and processed by us.Glad you are feeling better, ChattyRat.
When my mother felt a financial pinch, she would dilute milk in the carton, and add cheaper dry milk, still in the carton. We never new the difference.
