Mornin all. Watching the Wimbledon Women's semifinals on ESPN. Good stuff.
I am not going to rename Plain Jane until Binky is delivered, and I get all three wrapped. Then she will be Serena. Like me and my brother, Num-num and Binky are Irish twins, Binky will be referred to as "he".

Good morning everyone!

Roto, I agree with everyone else that you need to see a doc about your appetite loss. Could be a simple fix and then you can enjoy eating again. You'll wonder why you put up with it so long.

I'd be upset too if I'd gotten a notice like that, but try to stay calm until you talk with animal control. They are required to follow through if they get a complaint. They don't necessarily agree with the complaint. Once you explain to them what's going on they'll see that your pup is not being mistreated and will be able to deflect any further complaints.

{{{{Dancin}}}} Sorry to hear you're in the hospital. I'm praying they get you fixed up quick and you're home and feeling better than ever.

Roto, so sorry this is all happening to you. I agree with others, you need to see a doctor. And as for animal control, I also agree to get a few written statements and go talk to them. Your pup is being cared for, is in good health, and there should be no reason for you to have to rehome him.

I sure hope everything works out well for you!

Dancin called me earlier , and told me that I could relay what's going on. All prayers are greatly appreciated. She went to the doctor, very fortunately Doc heard something not right, got her to the ER, she's in the hospital and scheduled most likely Friday to have a heart valve replaced, and a single bypass. She felt like she could say it all but not type it all, but wanted y'all to know what's going on. We all knew yesterday that she was in the hospital, but I didn't know til a couple hrs ago exactly what was going on. ((((((Dancin)))))))) our prayers are with you sweetie!! Prayers definitely needed for her anxiety about this, plus safe procedure and speedy recovery.

I'm so glad that she called you and told you to let us know what's going on. She certainly has my prayers for a speedy recovery!!

Roto, you need to get to a doctor! That is your immediate concern.

You don't have a problem, your brother has been taking care of her while you are away at work. Get a written statement from him, saying so, and another from a friendly neighbor who has seen your brother around, playing with him and feeding and watering him. Take those written statements to animal control, and give them a piece of your mind while you are at it.

I plan on being very careful about how I deal with this. I'm still mad as hell about this, and I feel sarcasm bubbling up inside of me, BUT, my mother taught me that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Although I'm still sleeping with my eyes wide open, I just placed the call to animal control, and the officer is out on a call. The lady told me she would email him my info and have him call me back. Now, I wait.

For all the young "older" ladies.....may I recommend "Advanced Style" on netflix......hmm? :)
it's a fun look at looking good at any OLD age...
Ok, I put it in my list......but finally signed into netflix and did a live chat, and told em I wish they'd get a trailer/preview feature on netflix like amazon has! I'll check it out at some point since you said it's good. But the description really doesn't say much about what it's about.

I'm so glad that she called you and told you to let us know what's going on. She certainly has my prayers for a speedy recovery!!
oh I am too, was worried when she said she was in the hospital, but it was no big deal....... uhmmm..........they don't admit folks much these days if it's no big deal! lol

Me and Scott are in the hangout if anyone wants to come in

Thanks for the info, Deb, and add some more to the list!

@Uncle Willie - quite some time back you recommended these series by Bernard Cornwell.

The Winter King, A Novel of Arthur, The Warlord Chronicles, Book 1
Enemy of God, A Novel of Arthur, The Warlord Chronicles, Book 2
Excalibur - A Novel of Arthur, The Warlord Chronicles, Book 3

I finished them a couple weeks ago and yepper, for sure, they were a good read. Never read any interpretation of Arthur, Genivere, Lancelot, and Galahad as told by Cornwell. And Dervel, what a character - the hero of the tale. What a good story teller Cornwell is. I really enjoyed it. Even Janet went right into book 2 when she finished the 1st one.

Thanks for the recommendation.

It is so gratifying that you and Janet would take the time to remember that and then later follow up with this post .. :)

I've read everything Cornwell has written, and although you probably know this already now, "The Grail Quest" series is also very, very good ..

Basically, it's a documentary.....a quest by a photographer.....who loved his grandmothers... to take pics of older women who are still having fun with dressing up and fashion.....some very individual characters and a couple that are quite elegant......along with their attitudes regarding how they dress and how they look at their aging as a whole
I found even the zaniest of them quite endearing.

As Janet noted, AC has to respond to every complaint. It'll all work out favorably.

And YES, go see a doc! Don't make me stop this... <oops, went into parent mode>

Well nearly got to 0 last night

Morning all! First time in this thread and just hoping all of you are having a great day!

A very warm welcome!!! Pull up a rocker and stay awhile. Feel free to tell us a bit about yourself..we love stories!!!

Road trip!!! Looks like we need to go see Dancin in San Antonio...sneak her some stealth vaping equipment. Then off to see Roto for the "Family Boucherie". Definitely go to Mike and Janet's to christen the new kitchen and hug that baby! I think Amoret could use a visit as well! Stop by Matt's and help him finish fixing up his house and check out the pool. Then off to Iffy's to harass him and make sure his pool is getting a good workout.

I'd like to stop by Uncle Willie's place and go see that azzhat neighbor, but that is NOT a good idea. I don't think I would handle that situation with as much chivalry as he did. Well done, UW, well done!!!

Well fer starters, I traded my wife my rocker for a chemo chair about a year 1/2 ago. So now I have a big recliner on my porch, more comfortable than a rocker anyways!!

When I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer...I also made the switch permanently to vaping just trying to get healthier all the way around.

I would hope that if the Roadtrip made the rounds and one leg brought the VW Microbus load to my neck of the woods, it would not be the Neighbor in question that would be the draw .. :)

Just sayin' .. ;)
