Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Three

I am neither a planner nor someone who likes to spend much time contemplating all facets of his individual scenario.
However, I would much enjoy getting together with any of you in person. I'll likely have a driver's license about 7 weeks from now. No decision on whether or not I'll get a vehicle but I can get to Florida, have available accommodation in Lantana, and I could at least rent a vehicle.
oh boy... I'm debating between flying there...easiest and quickest... taking a train...scenic and a little longer.....or renting a motorhome....longest and might not get there till after everyone's already gone...
decisions decisions....
matt forgot about you already bein down there by the time this happens, but I also remembered that we gotta get Legs in on this, so I volunteered his RV tooand we gotta get Torey and Bells from NC......if you're area isn't on the map, it's not cuz we don't want ya there! We want all our porchers there who can come!! Mike and Janet can grab yiddle maybe. who else we missin?
We also gotta get Scott in Oklahoma. Some don't have free flowing money, and for some of us, it's downright constipated, but other than that I'm game! Kay is in for sure, and I'm already half packed!

A couple o' cats a couple o' hours ago on the path in my front yard. There's a gray and white one lying on the ground just the other side of the black one. No idea who claims them, if anyone, but they seem pretty healthy. I've seen them both before, many times, but not together.

Thanks Deb, no herbal flavors. But now that I am on antibiotics I will feel better in a few days. Dozed most of the day today, well, when not wrestling with Geordi. But I let both G and Tasha out in the big fenced 1/2 acre back yard and she tires him out for me

In all seriousness, I would try to traverse at least one leg (A to B) of your Florida venture part and would plan to spend two nights out on da sojourn.
May I suggest that Tampa be the Sun Coast (west FL) southern terminus, then hit Orlando. Do believe there are more porchers on dat side of da peninsula. I could spend a night in Tampa and 'nother in Orlando.
This would be a grand event fer all! It would go down in ECF history as da ultimate ECF gathering. Let's name it WWWT, Willie's Wild Wanderlust Tour.

Some of us get light and funny because the other option tends to be too painful. I tend to joke about everything but, as I think you know by now, take things fairly seriously. This group of folks is pretty much the only good friends I have right now. I am a very social person but, have been stuck in the house for way too long. Also, I found out when I got sick and sobered up that most of my "friends," weren't. I reached out and ask my "brother's" at the local VFW (where I was an officer for a while) for help with my rental house that I had to take care of before I went into the hospital for my surgery and not one of them even bothered to acknowledge the request much less get off their lazy asses and help out. Believe it or not a guy from where Doree was working at the time came over and spent several evenings and the weekend helping me get the rental place in order and I didn't even know him. I am sorta in the same boat now. You all know that I have been talking about getting the house ready to sell so we could move to Florida for almost two years now and Doree could be closer to her mother who suffers from Alzheimer's. What should have taken me a couple of months has taken this long because my health sucks and absolutely nobody has volunteered 5 minutes to help me. We finally had to tap into Doree's 401K (and pay the penalties) to hire a contractor to help and still we aren't done. I also have to get the motorhome back into sellable condition. Sorry to vent so loudly tonight but I needed to. And I wonder why I can't sleep.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming....
We'd definitely help you out Matt, especially since we've learned so much with our own renovations. Sorry you've had such a hard time of it. I don't do much heavy lifting and don't know much about elec but give me some direction and I'm there. And if not, I can always cook for ya and help clean up!
We spent the day baby sitting Miles ... poor baby has a bad case of foot and mouth disease. Spots all over his poor little body. But remarkably he's been in a pretty good mood and not letting the sickness get him down. We'll probably have him for the rest of the week as he can't go to day care as long as he's sick.
