Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Three

I would be more than willing to meet you all along the route. Hard to say exactly where at this moment. I'm hoping to be in Florida permanently by September but, like so many deadlines I've set, they seem destined to be missed. Seriously when are we thinking. I've always envisioned a Back Porch Reunion of some type in central Florida. Lots of things to do and places for everyone to stay in a variety of budgets. I fully realize that money ain't exactly flowing freely for a lot of us.

I'm going to give it a while to see what my question garners .. we're in a "kick the tires" phase, but just so everyone knows, I'm not kidding around here, if there seems to be others with serious interest, the rest of things can be planned .. if the response seems positive for a group, we'll move on to Phase II ..

matt forgot about you already bein down there by the time this happens, but I also remembered that we gotta get Legs in on this, so I volunteered his RV too and we gotta get Torey and Bells from NC......if you're area isn't on the map, it's not cuz we don't want ya there! We want all our porchers there who can come!! Mike and Janet can grab yiddle maybe. who else we missin?

We also gotta get Scott in Oklahoma. Some don't have free flowing money, and for some of us, it's downright constipated, but other than that I'm game! Kay is in for sure, and I'm already half packed!

Deb, the Map is a geographic approximation of those of us that live within a reasonable distance of the Road Ways highlighted .. only on folks that I have at least a fairly good idea of their location .. those living much farther West of the Mississippi than I've outlined, would face a huge distance obstacle, at least IMO ..

1) of course, why would you ever doubt it .. ??
2) I'd suggest at least a change of clothes or two ..
3) Only those "services" with which you freely and voluntarily are comfortable with ..

Can you imagine all of us in the same room.....much less the same state! Poor Florida would never be the same...........teach them damn spring breakers a thing or three, that's for sure!!!

I would be game for a meet up in Florida if I am home at the time. I keep missing vape meets because I am working in another part of the state! But if I am home I could easily drive to the Tampa area, or Orlando, or....

She took him to the Vet on Saturday, and long story short, they had to put him down today.

So sorry to hear about your 4-legged friend. We had to put our pug down after fighting renal failure. She had been a member of our family for 12 years. It is never easy. Sad thing is I have a cat that is 16 years old and she is starting to really show her age. A vet visit for an overall checkup is overdue.

As for me, since I can't taste anything anyway, I am vaping unflavored. But even that in extreme moderation because anything on my throat just irritates it more. I will get my antibiotics today and should be good in a few days.

An old trick a corpsman told me is to gargle with salt water for your throat. However, it sounds like strep to me. I believe the salt water would still help.

Dancin is back in the hospital.

I have DH in my prayers and will continue to keep her in them until she is totally recovered.

If this road trip takes place, my house is 3 miles off I-35 in South Oklahoma City. The coffee pot is always ready and the door is open to friends. One of these times I will make it into the Hangout and chat with everyone. I try to keep the house quiet as my daughter gets up early for work.

Same here. Looking at the route - I could meet ya'll in Savannah or if you want a more scenic stop - Hilton Head - either is about a 3 or 3.5 hour drive for me. If you decided to do a hookup in Florida - I am in also. Orlando, Tampa, Daytona, etc. I am there...

Yep, been doing that about every 2 hours or so for days. Also gargling with Listerine. A little honey and lemon is soothing too. But thanks for the tip!!
