I went to the cardiologist this afternoon. He says I'm doing extremely well. He said I can stop taking the blood thinner. Yay, no more blood test every single week! And, I can stop taking the antiarrythmic as soon as the prescription runs out. So, the only prescription that I'll be on that's specifically for my heart is the beta-blocker.

I'm also breathing a lot better and am NOT going to need to spend the $245/month for the oxygen concentrator. I'm just going to keep the oxygen tank(s) for another month for when I go places. That's the only time I seem to need it anymore.

Very happy!

Now, I'd better get reading. Ya'll have been very busy today. Almost 100 posts to go back over and read more closely.

I'm so happy to be here with my fellow porchers!
FANTASTIC!

Duly noted and under critical consideration...

There comes a point when our reactions to things are not reasonable. We have to get out of the cycle. I believe that anything the Dr.'s can prescribe has to have a natural counterpart and always search for that first.

I hope that any part of this will help someone.

Sigh, I've always enjoyed your inputs, and this one is priceless!

.. take a good listen to Ed ..

Again Willie, ya've hit me square in my heart & soul' with 'nother memory 'ripper'! I guess I've striven so hard to raise a family and somewhat sacrificed following lyrical beauty. BUT, goodness what a SONG!!!

BTW, as I was awaiting my Boiler Room grilled mushrooms and onions rare cheese burger dis PM, I played 'Remember When' and garnered a 'free' beer, thanx to you. I say 'free' in that da 35th wedding anniversary couple had a couple o' brews paid fer when I walked out.

I've taking a beta blocker for years. Nothing to be concerned about. Just helps keep the old ticker regulated. Only thing to remind you is if you have to go for a stress test skip it. If you don't you'll never get your heartbeat up high enough. They didn't tell me and I was on the treadmill so long I thought I was going to die. Nurse had to prop me up with a hand on each .... cheek to keep me standing.

No unfortunately, I like a good thunderstorm. Not going to make the hangout. Beds calling. Been going to bed early nearly every night but I really am sleeping good. Bed around 9, up around 7 to 8ish. Solid nights sleep. Nice!

I'm hearing what I regard as homophobia. Of course you see it differently.

Although I ignored the first few, starting with someone's determination that a guy in a picture must be gay, it kept on going. So, I'm responding.

For all the fine Ladies on the Thread .. the Dreamers, The Romantics, Those That Found Love and Kept It, Those Found Love and Lost It, Those That Stayed Young at Heart, Those That Came Thru Tough Times, Those That Face Tough Times .. take a good listen to Ed ..

And, PS .. anyone still remember Old Hippie .. ???

Last we heard from her, she left her abusive spouse, with a couple suitcases of her stuff and headed south someplace. She had to leave in a hurry and left a lot of sentimental things behind though. She had help from a friend to pull it off and settled in Ok at a new rural setting. Wishing her well, but haven't heard from or nor have a way to contact her.

That is wonderful news. It seems the prayer network did its job.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes!!!!

( who needs cake n ice cream!!)
I will have a bowl of Brahms chocolate ice cream later and sing happy birthday.

I could be so lucky. I go to bed about 2:30 and I'm up around 8. I wake up in pain and that starts my day.

Umm Poking fun at men to make their living appearing masculine to attract women customers and such but are homosexual is not homophobia. It is ironic humor.
Banning gays from marriage , jobs, etc is homophobia.
Sorry if I touched on a nerve.

TY Mike....that's what I was vaguely recalling. I had her email addy on the email address I had on my daughter's account, but my daughter closed it out and I lost all the messages I had saved there.

Ironic humor? Sorry, fairly boring old hat presumptions based on stereotypical determinations don't fit that bill for me. Touch a nerve? No. Did my criticism of your remarks bother you?

Thanks to all on this. Willie really had a more unfair thing totally out of his control happen to him. Many scars in our lives, it makes us what we currently are.
My sister just lost her husband of over 50 years totally unexpectedly in an accident. Funeral to be next week... I will do what I can to ease her pain, but I know it will just take time to scar over somewhat.

Thanks to all for putting up with my sounding off. It is a VERY rare thing for me to do. Not done since my last psychologist years ago. Which did not help considering how stubborn that I am ;)
Did you try kicking him? Sometimes that helps.
