Bells, those clocks are beautiful. Especially like the wood one! How nice to be able to restore them to usefulness instead of letting them become fossilized dust collectors. Too pretty to have them packed away. It's funny, we were talking to a 13 year old yesterday who couldn't tell what time it was on his mother's watch because it didn't have numbers on it's face. He's only used to digital.

Littlebird, good to see you! Hope your day is filled with all good things too!

So glad you popped in. Great music! Missed you. See that, you jump right in and you and Jeff have a whole "event" with Deb and she wasn't even here till it was all over. You guys are so funny.

I was afraid you were going to come back and not know about the change over and be lost. You'd have a lot of people running around trying to track you down!

Made my first batch of hummingbird nectar today and put it out for any early arrivals. Hopefully we'll get more than 1 pair this year.

Gorgeous day here. Going up to 78 and the sun is shining bright. It's so nice to be able to open the doors and windows!

I just hope my general goofyness mood yesterday was not off-putting on anyone .. yes, I'd had a few .. ;) ..

I put out one Hummingbird feeder out last weekend, I just throw some sugar and water in them .. put out one just to make sure the birds are out there or on the way before I put up the other 4 .. I swear I saw one but it could have been a giant bee .. Mowing and trimming today as tomorrow looks like rain all day, if so, I'll probably do a binge watch of the last "Justified" or "Black Sails" season, which are stacked on the DVR .. maybe grill something ..

It's probably against the norm, but I actually like yard work .. takes my mind off things, feels like I'm actually accomplishing something .. next week, if I can, I'm going to try and update what's been happening with me over the last few months .. quite a few changes ..

As Miles Honorary Uncle, give him a peck for me and I hope your brother is doing OK these days .. as well as, of course, you and Mike .. :)

I love to garden!! Unfortunately with all the travel it is not easy to keep up, but I also find it very relaxing. I love to propagate plants and have a small greenhouse. We are slowly planting eleagnus bushes around the property, all but the first 5 I have started from cuttings. The bushes along the fence line... It is very rewarding to propagate plants from cuttings (also to grow them from seeds!)

Heck, Unc, we're ALL goofy!

Haven't watched Justified, but Black Sails is a winner around our house. And it had a lot of twists and surprises this "season."

And I love yard work, too. I can sit and watch someone do it for hours :)

Wonder when the switch is going to occur?

OK! It's hot outside, humid too... Maybe I can wait for summertime!

Last info I saw it was/is to be sometime early this coming week. The current plan is to have the board up but ONLY for reading, so no posts get lost in the transfer. So maybe a good time to catch up on long threads. Heck, I might take the day or so to wade through all the DIY mixing threads, since I'm finally heading that way. Courtesy of the bozos in Olympia...

Third litre of 100mg nic is on its way, dozen or so flavorings in hand, along with PG and VG... and early one flavor mixes are at least vapeable, if not great, so it's just a matter of mor time in the "kitchen." :)

Anybody back here do woodworking? I need a good sawdust engineer to make me a stand for all my stuff. I have some really nice African Purple Heart wood, but not the right tools to chance messing it up. Jeff needs some help here.

There is a seller on Etsy & Ebay that does stands. Not sure if he does custom, but I'd say probably. Bargains From Home is his shop name. He does it to supplement farm income, I think. His work looks really nicely finished.

Totally wid ya, David! My early youth was spent earning my allowance, in part, and a lil' later on, 'spending coin' from generous neighbors (aka child labor law offenders) by sustaining one human endeavor dat makes no sense to me; cultivating, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, raking and disposing of sumpin' we don't eat!!!

Wha.. re$ale value ya ask? Been living here fer 30 years. Had I started wid xeriscaping, I would have $aved 'nuff coin to have had an Astro turf lawn installed upon any future marketing, wid 'nuff money left over to buy a Porvari... (Yes, dear? Oh, just commenting our shade trees. At least dey shed only once a year, as opposed to da pets we've owned... )

Once ya 'nail' a recipe or two, ya won't be sorry... and will avoid a lighter wallet!

My Mom loved to dig in the dirt. She had the most beautiful flowers; from mid-April straight through til the end of October, the flower beds were a riot of color. I'm a bunch lazier - mostly, I plant perennials. Finally, our weather is turning (which, as Matt will attest, means we're in our two weeks of Spring, to be followed by hot & humid). The peonies are about 6 inches out of the ground, up an inch since yesterday. Bulbs are almost through, but lilies are on the way and hydrangeas are budding. I love this time of year!

@Matt, the counters look awesome!

I had to look up xeriscaping. What I do is more like zeroscaping. But, stuff is gonna grow whether anything is planted or not. In 22 years I've not planted a single grass seed, yet, stuff grows that resembles grass and it has to cut or it becomes a jungle that infringes on everything including the house. Plus, have to pay somebody at least once a year to come in with a grader and fix the dirt vehicle path. A tractor just can't handle it unless it's a big one with a grader blade.

I planted 5 trees about 13 years ago: 2 magnolias which are doing fine, a third magnolia which is doing great and two crape myrtles that may need help if they're going to survive. They don't get sufficient hours of sun and they're in poor soil. The magnolia that's doing great is in much better soil than the other two magnolias and it's five times their size.

Great kitchen Matt! You should be proud of your work.
I would love to take all the credit however, I paid someone to put in the countertops. A 2ft x 10ft slab of granite weighs 550lbs. I couldn't even crank it of the floor.
