I've been waiting for the hummers. Put out one feeder a few days ago but haven't seen one yet. They came so early last year and now they're late.
Tonight (Thursday) is my PBS night. First it's the "This Old House Hour" followed by "A Chef's Life." By then it's pretty much bedtime. Chef's Life is on, I'll check back in later.
I'm at 24mg now but I do have some 36mg "reserve nerve" juice. Love the pic but kept thinking something just didn't look right. This is more me, don't you think?bahahahahaha

Evening Iffy! We have a slow rain here tonight and I think it's going to be a great sleeping night. Got the window next to my side of the bed so I can hear the rain in the leaves of the Japanese Maple outside my window. A little old Japanese woman gave us small Japanese Maple when we moved in 23 years ago and said it would look good in the front but, it doesn't grow real big. 23 years later it's about 6 feet taller than the house which is a two story. Beautiful though with deep purple leaves in the spring that slowly get greener as summer progresses. The Real Estate agent we are dealing with said it was worth about 10 grand as it stands now. Not for sale (ok maybe a week before we move).
We had a good 'un Tuesday and a lil' un' yesterday. Today has been an autumn type experience. Wish we could bottle sum of it fer da dogs days o' summer!
I need a pedicure. What can I say? So you will just have to put up with my lips. I took a pic one day because I had forgotten what it felt like to have on lipstick.
I thought you went to bed? Yepper, a mature one of those trees is worth a bunch of money.
When we first moved into 'this' house the front property was lined with evergreen and pine trees. They were about 12-15 feet high at the time and not much space separated them at the bottom. I new when they matured they'd be much too crowded. I talked w/ a 'tree-scape' guy and was willing to barter the trees for him removing them - even up. He was interested and offered me money for them which was nice, I'd would have been happy just to have him do all the work to get them out. When it was all said and done, he removed every other tree and filled the holes with an huge divot that matched the hole size perfectly. We actually made a couple grand on it. All the trees were loaded onto a flatbed trailer and sent to landscape a property in Connecticut.
This is just a thinly disguised ploy to eventually morph ECF into a Dating Site .. "Let's have a "conversation, Baby" .. I'm 29, made my first Billion on a Tech Startup by the age of 19 by inventing an app that keeps track of how awesome I am, I'm 6' 2", 185 pounds of cut muscle mass, you should be glad I'm even having this "conversation" with you ..
Holy Cow, 10 grand for a tree?? Those are really pretty, but dang. Matt, y'all gonna dig it up and take it with ya? Or let it add value to the house?
I put our 2 feeders out about 2 weeks ago and this week they showed up. Looks like at least 2 pair. Wonder if they're the same ones I fed last year. I don't know if they come back to nest in the same place or not. Sure are pretty and fascinating to watch!
