It works great. Just a matter of getting tech support on the line and have them walk you through the setup. I got the Netgear one at Best buy that is on sale for $49.95 right now. Do a search of Best buy wifi extenders and the one I got is the wn3000 I think. Now I have 45 bars on my computer up here and my smart tv recieves Netflix with no stopping and starting it is fantastic.

Will look into that the next time we're in Daytona as that is the nearest Best Buy. Just for kicks though, when I'm feeling less tired, I'll meander into Staples and see what they have to offer!

Thanks for the feedback!

Gracie, You knew I was born and raised in Daytona didn't you? Grew up 4 houses off the beach on Seaview Ave.

Yep, we were allowed to go to the beach by ourselves from the time we were around 10. Everybody on the beach knew us and probably had Mom's phone number. We even had a charge account with the ice cream man and the hot dog wagon. The Seaview beach approach had a lifeguard too. Seeing as my brother Chris was a lifeguard we always knew them too. I compare my youth to that couple that being hassled by the city for letting the kids walk home from the playground and say "where did we go wrong?" We walked to and from school the whole time I was in elementary school. No problem. I'm not sure if the world's changed all that inch or if the parents have.

We lived in Hollywood (FL) while our son grew up. About a mile from the beach. We would spend weekends at the beach. Had friends who owned one of the little restaurants. There was also an arcade. I remember giving son quarters to play video games. He had the run of the beach. If he wanted something to eat or drink he would just go to the restaurant and they would give him what he wanted and put it on our "bill". We were known and "James' parents". But this was back in the 80s, wouldn't think of doing that today. But then again, the boardwalk has changed and those opportunities are not there anymore. I believe our friend's restaurant still is, however.

Good memories, but that's about it! What a shame those traditions can't be carried over......not in today's world!! :(
I would bet money that statistically there are no more instances of snatching, perves, etc. than there was back then. The only difference is that everybody hears everything about anything instantly. Now we here about abductions quite often but don't take into account that the instances may be a probably are half way around the world from each other. In other words the only real difference is that nobody seems to know anybody anymore. Most people don't even know their next door neighbors anymore. I couldn't pass gas without my mother hearing about it within 15 minutes.

Yep - once we got to be around 10 years old we roamed the neigborhoods all day long. Probably about a 4 square mile area. Be home for supper was the 'prime directive'. And God help you if you weren't. Prior to that I was confined to the immediate street I lived on and "1 over' in each direction where we had family and friends. Then once we got our 'real' bicycles round 12 years old - uh oh - your legs were the limit. I remember being at least 20 miles from home a couple-few times. Although Mom wasn't aware of how far we 'ranged'.

In Junior High School I had a girlfriend who lived in Ponce Inlet, literally a 15 mile bike ride from my house and I spent at least 3 afternoons a week at her house. Both her parents worked and it was a beneficial relationship.

Your insurance won't pay for one?
No, not unless I need it to get around in my home. We are in a small 2/2 apartment. It's small enough that there is always something to catch myself on or sit when I need to. It's when I need to go shopping or someplace that I have to walk further of stand for very long that I have trouble. Look around a store, no place to sit except the floor. I've been in stores & had their scooter die on me at the back of the store & I'm stuck until an employee walks by, or another customer is willing to go find an employee to help me. And I've had employees tell me that they can't go get another scooter for me because they aren't supposed to leave their department. That's a Management problem, they don't train the new, young employees, (that have never been taught to think for themselves), In these types of customer issues. Scooters at the stores get so over used & abused, & these companies are under no obligation to supply scooters at all. It's a courtesy that I am grateful for.
