I want to thank you all for the wonderful stories and testimonials today. You guys just fill my heart. One of these days I'll find my way to the hangout and get to talk to you all. I am so glad I found these porches and all of you.

Hey I watched a PB review today do not get a smok M80 they don't work. Put it on 350 and gave it the cotton test and it caught on fire.
Not tonight Dear, I have a headache
Hey Iffy, If your talking to Semi at the hangout tell him I said Goodnight.![]()
Still nursing my neck & shoulders,so typing hurts, but am in the Hangout w/ Mike, Iffy & Omg right now. For awhile, anyway.
For da concerned porchers, Susan linked up with an outstanding background! How do I link up?
I am so glad I found these porches and all of you.![]()
Nope, no babies thank anyway. Did my "uncle" duty for three of em and that was enough. Didn't have any of our own unfortunately. Reproductive problems and to poor to afford invitro and when we could to old to really want to. I admit nothing beats a newborn baby laying on your chest and falling asleep while your in your recliner. I did learn one good thing about other people's kids, you can give them back!Sorry I can't join everybody at Deb's, but I'm just tuckered and my friend is here chatting. Next week she and our daughter will be leaving and things will quiet down a bit. Miles was a joy this morning, but he fought a nap like crazy this afternoon so he was cranky. I was thinking earlier though that if you're tired and can't sleep what you need to do is watch a baby as they fall asleep. As their eyes droop it's hard not to have your own droop too! Hear that Matt? What you need is a baby in the house!
Willie, I heard about BB King this morning and just knew you'd come through with a great story and music. What a life you've lived! We saw Mr. King at the Electric Factory before Mike and I were married. I didn't know anything about him. As I stood there listening to him playing his guitar I suddenly understood that he was making that guitar talk to him! It was so amazing! I still remember that feeling of realization so clearly and have never heard anyone else be able to do it like he did. And you're right, you actually felt him enter the stage. So sad that he's gone, but what a legacy he left!
Oh, and we'll stop tomorrow to see about getting some red noses!!
Good morning, Fran and everybody!
It is not like me to join in the flurries of "good mornings" and "good nights" that occur here with alarming regularity. But dang it, I now join in once in a while. So silly! Please tell me that the affliction is only temporary, lol.
Also, it gave me an excuse to stop the productive housekeeping I was doing for, egad, about 60 minutes. Usually, my back becomes too sore after about half an hour of standing and/or moving around, but that didn't happen this morning, so I needed to find some other excuse to stop being productive.
When I first started composing this message, ECF suddenly went down for about 15 minutes but is now back up. I'm watching the movie "Paul". I've seen the last half of it before but never saw it from the beginning.
My mind continues to be blown by quality of the experience and the pleasure of meeting in "real time" my fellow participants in Deb's Hangout. Just plain amazing.
wow, those are soooo kewl!!!To get me started, I slightly modded an old holster by sewing some extra velcro in the flap so it'll hold my PV in better.
They update once every 24 hoursCan't seem to get banner to update.
Jup.....same here. I can speak properly, but most of the time just prefer not to. No one around here would be able to understand a word I said if I did! And southernese is my native language, still trying to learn EnglishBut most da time I just like to practice my cartoon/comic strip vernacular. Ain't no way to tell how many grammar/spellin' purist I've driven away or to da funny farm!
Wow.....such an amazing story, and great insight into the man! But Frank was his fav?? That somehow disappoints me, but I reckin it was different, so possibly as appealing to him as his music is to so many of us. There was probably more big band played at my house growing up than blues. I do love it all, but man, BB could literally make that guitar talk, as I think Janet mentioned. So glad we still have his music, cuz there'll never be another like him.plugged in and played the opening riff from "Johnny B. Goode" .. the crowd cheered .. I handed Lucille back to King, he shook my hand and thanked me and said if I'd hang around till after the show, we'd have a drink and visit ..
I used to run a food pantry, and it is shocking how much hunger there is in everyday America.he was foraging through a dumpster and she was clutching a piece of chicken in both hands as she gnawed at it,
Dunno if I'll get to Walgreen's or not, but my avatar nose is already redHope my local Walgreens (right around the corner is participating). Course if their not there is always gin
Jup, used to do a prison ministry as well and omggggg there is so much amazing talent in the prisons. Artists, musicians, you name it. My ex used to be a prison guard and he had a painting done of my son by one of the inmates. It is fantastic, and this was not the guy who was really good!I was more than a little sad to think that all of that talent was sitting in jail instead of on the street practicing their craft.
That is so wonderful!! Very few would be willing to open their homes to someone in need, even back then. She brought some of them home to live with us. My father foot the bill for no less than 15 or 20 kids to live with us at one time or another.![]()
I thought Matt WAS the baby in the house heheheHear that Matt? What you need is a baby in the house!
well whatchya waitin on hun??? Would be great to see you!One of these days I'll find my way to the hangout and get to talk to you all. I am so glad I found these porches and all of you.![]()
That stuff is the unfiltered part. It's the good stuff that get's filtered out for some reason. Let us know how you feel in a couple of weeks. ACV is good for all kinds of thingies that make you sick. Including lady things that I won't go into detail about here. You're welcome, guys! Thanks Kenna. I thought it was you who knew the proportions of ingredients for this. I've read elsewhere about the benefits of ACV. I thought the "Mother" part of the description was just part of the name of the brand, but it turns out it's the wispy stuff that's in it that makes it turn into vinegar. Mike got some when he was out yesterday, but it's not Braggs. It's certified organic, unfiltered and unpasteurized so I guess it's the same thing.
Mike's grandmother told him that her mother used to give everybody a "Spring Tonic" every year. It was kerosene taken from a jar with a rusted nail in it!!!! And they lived!! What on earth made them think that was a good thing?![]()
Awww, I thought you were going to tell us that you were going to mod it. Should be able to generate some heavy clouds with one of those...![]()
It seems to me that ECF breeds insomniacs. Just saying. We sure got enough of them.I was in the Hangout early last night, but nobody was around, and I was feeling a little under the weather, so I went to bed. At 1am my stupid self woke up, and here I am. And, I have somewhere to go this morning, so it's going to be a LOOOOONG day. So, you see, Matt, you're not alone.
Your right, you aught to. I really like it here. Haven't found a better group of people anywhere.Bet it would too, and it only has a 1/15th hp motor on it. Just think, I could upgrade to a 1/5 hp and do sub-sub-sub ohming -- 0.000001Ω. whoooooeeee! And if only the foot pedal was still attached, it would be vapocalypse-proof - even if we went into teotwawki... aka shtf...
