Yeah Big pharma doesn't tell you much about anything. Same thing is true with advil and aleve.

I don't know. Have you ever read the inserts that come with meds? And the FDA has approved them. Enough to scare you silly. I worked with a woman once who thought she had most of the adverse side effects they mentioned. But really, given all those precautions it's a wonder the FDA is even considering vaping to be harmful.

Sometimes when we watch the pharma commercials and they start the long list of dangers and side effects, we say 'yea, sure, I really want to take that!" Galls me they can approve all these crazy drugs yet they want to ban vaping? Come on, get your head straight! No, it is not about saving lives, it is about money and keeping people sick so they can take drugs for their drugs. Ridiculous.

JMHO... ;)

Mike......wanna make sure you know that when I was talkin bout the contractor I wasn't criticizing him or you or anyone.......was basically just trying to say that I'm too much of a control freak to be able to be able to trust someone like that who was working on my house, but it's great that you can with him! Meant it as a compliment to him and you both hun, just not sure it came out that way.

No problem Deb. I know exactly what you mean. This is the first guy I'd ever consider not supervising the work.

Heh, yeah. And they always end with "tell your doctor if you have this that or the other thing".
And it makes me think to myself... if I have to tell the doctor what I have... don't I need a new doctor?

Seizures, apparently.

Oh, well that explains a lot. It's not really his fault then. We had a neighbor who rescued the cat from hell. He actually cornered her in the laundry room once or twice with his hissing and biting. And she was the only one who could go near him. When she took him to the vet the appointment was always the last of the day and the vet always had help on hand to examine him. Nasty, nasty animal. But she kept him for years like that! I couldn't own an animal who was like that and believe me, we've put up with a lot over the years.

I'm with you on that although we had a cat named Snapper for years and he was a biter. Hence the name but, never for no good reason and never unannounced. Piss him off and he would bite you but preceding the bite there would be much growling and nashing of teeth. If you actually got bit it's because you were either not paying attention or stupid.

Well we've finished painting the walls in the kitchen. Next is the ceiling. Got most of the nail pops and dings patched up. Tomorrow is the Parade of Sail in connection with our annual Harbor Festival. Lots of tall ships and naval ships as well as high dollar yachts. Doree want to go down to Ft. Monroe and watch it from the ramparts. Ft. Monroe was a big deal during the Civil War. Very historical. I'm all for it weather permitting. I'll take some pics and report in if we go.
Off to bed or it definately won't happen.
Good night my friends, I'll see you in the morning.:)

Well a very late Good Evening everyone ! - or I guess it is probably an early Good Morning!

Beautiful day today - so I went golfing with my husband - then a quick grocery shop and dinner before going to the end of year band and choir concert for the school my husband taught at. Amazing the talent all these young folks have  This was a celebration of 10 years with the teacher that start the school Show and Concert choirs and she had a huge turn out of alumni. The final performance with both choirs included the attending alumni as well as for the finale with both choirs and the concert band.

The bands consisted of the concert band, the jazz band and they also have a small steel drum band group that also performed with the jazz band. So a little taste of Caribbean music too. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

Just did a quick skim of the day - so I don't have much else to say - hope every one has/had a good night.

This may be a stupid question, but why does her cat keep biting her?

I am not sure how many times in total she has been bit - but for sure a couple were very very nasty where she had to have multiple rounds of antibiotics and could not hardly use her hand the one time and her whole arm the other. In both of those times she said it was her fault - she approached her from above or something. It could be that since the cat is so old - she doesn't see well and if approached from above - is startled into biting.....

When Gracie mentioned her friend having to be hospitalized - it just made me think of my friend and what she went thru when bit. I was so surprised that people could have such severe problems from a cat bite - but I guess it happens fairly often.
