Do you know Iffy very well? :pervy: This is normal for him.
OHH I know he is perverted, but not permitted to show just how perverted on here ;)

I was tempted to go one worse and mention figuring in the timetable for great grandchildren in grade school.... Well I mostly resisted.... :)

We're not that far away from a Thread Re-Boot here .. unless the Powers That Be have started allowing over 15,000 post threads to continue .. and I did not want to accelerate the post pace thus causing Mike a premature Re-Boot job .. :)

Wow! We're up to almost 13,000 posts already. I feel like we just occupied the new porch a couple-few weeks ago.

There's a hole in my bucket....

he, he ... I thought of this song, though not that vid, as soon as I got to the Ricky Neslon vid.

I did not even realize that a bucket hole song existed....
it's an old Boy Scout standard... from before the Mormons took over... I think they have outlawed it now because it would be sung by two boys, and that makes it too "gay" for pay.

============================
There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza,
There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, a hole.

Then mend it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then mend it, dear Henry, dear Henry, mend it.

With what shall I mend it, dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what shall I mend it, dear Liza, with what?

With a straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
With a straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, with a straw.

The straw is too long, dear Liza, dear Liza,
The straw is too long, dear Liza, too long,

Then cut it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then cut it, dear Henry, dear Henry, cut it.

With what shall I cut it, dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what shall I cut it, dear Liza, with what?

With a knife, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
With a knife, dear Henry, dear Henry, with an knife.

The knife is too dull, dear Liza, dear Liza,
The knife is too dull, dear Liza, too dull.

Then sharpen it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry
Then sharpen it, dear Henry, dear Henry, sharpen it.

On what shall I sharpen it, dear Liza, dear Liza?
On what shall I sharpen it, dear Liza, on what?

On a stone, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
On a stone, dear Henry, dear Henry, a stone.

The stone is too dry, dear Liza, dear Liza,
The stone is too dry, dear Liza, too dry.

Well wet it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Well wet it, dear Henry, dear Henry, wet it.

With what shall I wet it, dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what shall I wet it, dear Liza, with what?

Try water, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Try water, dear Henry, dear Henry, water.

In what shall I fetch it, dear Liza, dear Liza?
In what shall I fetch it, dear Liza, in what?

In a bucket, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
In a bucket, dear Henry, dear Henry, a bucket.

There's a hole in my bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza,
There's a hole in my bucket, dear Liza, a hole.

Use your head, then! dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Use your head, then! dear Henry, dear Henry, use your head!

Ahh I was not allowed to be a Boy Scout. They met at a Methodist church and the Methodists were allowed to drink alcohol!!!!! And were all going to burn in hell.
I spent the first 16 years of my life in a holy roller church... and was culturally depraved as a result.
And it did not stick, thankfully. I may burn in hell but at least until then I will not be a judgmental bigot.

Religious rant over...
Let's talk wicking ? Anyone tried rolled up bible pages?

Never made Webelos either. I vaguely remember the attempt... I get over-invested or under-invested in things, take on more than I can handle or afford, then end up not doing enough. I think I was trying to do a ham radio badge and abandoned the project mid-stream. The recollections are fuzzy.

Totally unrelated: in my continuing adventures with spices, I put turmeric and ginger on one of my ubiquitous turkey burgers... very tasty combination. I can't imagine it shocking anyone's senses.. not radical, just a 2-spice combo I don't believe I'd ever tried before that is very pleasant.

Morning everybody! The road trip sounds wonderful. I'd vote for either of the places Willie found. Spring looks like a better bet time-wise for us, but we'll work with whatever. I'm thinking we'd probably fly down and rent a car to save some time in transit.

Poor Dancing, she's really having a time of it lately. Sounds like they might have things under control now, at least I hope so!

Gotta go get ready for another Miles day!

As was I. I did learn a lot of good moral lessons but, later in life, the patience to not apply them when not needed. Something sorely lacking in most churches.
