I'd like to hear more about the Florida reunion you all had. Where was it held?
I remember years ago I was in a forum for "Celexa" and the group of us met in Las Vegas. One lady actually flew from GB. Then a year later we all met in NYC and it was fun. I think it's been about 12 years ago and I still keep in touch with 1 person.
it was in Bradenton. It was a blast. One of the porchers and her husband brought their boat down from Orlando. Some of us went parasailing! It was soooooo much fun. We ran poor iffy to death though, but he loved it. :D This is the house we rented, but it was in a bit worse shape than it seemed from the pics. Nothing super major though.

Good Afternoon dwellers!

@Debadoo I have experimented with the VG/PG ratio just to see if it actually makes a difference and to me it has absolutely no affect on how something tastes. Although some say that manufacturers use PG in the flavors because it carries the flavors better, many of the flavorings I buy are VGD or VG Dominant so that is sort of a contradiction.

Last week, I had to ditch two batts. Somehow, I discharged them to the point of no return. Couldn't tell you how, but I did. Yikes!

Running in a mech?

JUP! Gracie just posted on BP that they had a mandatory evac and are hunkered down with her son and his family. And that she spoke with Matt, and he and Doree are in a campground in SC and are fine and will head out tomorrow for Fla. Ken has checked in and is fine, so hoping Susan is also since he's not too far from her. Time for @robino and @classwife to check in. hope y'all are fine. I know Robin lives on the east side, not certain bout classy.

Thanks for the update! :thumb:

It saddens me to see that Randall's (txtumbleweed) legacy and intent of the front porch thread, started 4 1/2 years ago has been changed into something different.

***********************************************************************************************************

"I thought I would start a thread mostly for older folks but everyone is welcome. It is primarily to help longtime smokers to get off cigarettes and stay off by sharing our vaping experiences. Most everyone reading this has already started vaping so our goal is to support one another and help those beginning the vaping journey.

I have been vaping 2 1/2 years after smoking off and on for 60 years. I inhaled my first cigarette at 10 and by the time I was 15 I was smoking a pack a day. I've struggled with quitting smoking for 30 years and discovering the e-cig and vaping has been a life saver for me. I was diagnosed with COPD about seven years ago and my health was deteriorating rather quickly with loss of breath and coughing continuously. Since I started vaping my health has improved tremendously so that is why I'm so adamant about helping others make the same decision.

I have been vaping for 2 1/2 years but I'm far from an expert on vaping equipment but I have tried mostdevices or similar ones out there so I do have an opinion on most of them. We are all different when it comes to vaping and one thing doesn't work for all in fact very few of us will settle on using the same juices and PV's. That is what makes having a thread that we can discuss all e-cig related stuff without arguing about what is best is a good thing.

I have found that most of us older folks and long time smokers like the no muss no fuss PV's especially in the beginning. We would like to hear all of your stories and vaping experiences and what devices you started with and your journey to what you use now.

Us older folks do like to socialize along with our vaping but we need to keep this thread mostly about vaping or it will be moved to a social forum. We do have another thread in the Lounge Forum that is both social and vaping related. txtumbleweed, May 21, 2012"

Dang darlin.......what had happened to you that they were doing the nerve block anyhow?

Right ankle reconstruction nine years ago this month. Toes are supposed to point in da same direction as da knee cap (12 o'clock); not 90° (3 o'clock) as in my case after an accident.

Sure wish I had been vaping at the time in that I probably would not have this bruised colored ankle due to reduced blood circulation/extended healing time!

we call that the dirty side,, wind and rain,,, and possibly Noah sightings :)
Coming up from the Gulf the East side is the dirty side. It's the side that dumps all the water along with the wind. By the time its reached the west side it's mostly just wind. For Ken the east side is ducking up water.

Does anyone know what gives juice a "wet" taste? My almond cheesecake tastes dry. Gogleeygooglefu said EM, marshmallow, distilled water and sterile saline -- in small quantities -- are the answer. Before I try any of these, I'd love to hear from our DIY experts. TIA!

I think they were married, in a regulated mod, but I can't swear to it. I'm guessing there's a thing to learn, here. Share, please?

In a mech, there's nothing to "turn off" the output when the battery voltage goes low. In regulated mods, there is circuitry that will prevent firing if the input voltage (battery) gets below a preset value, typically 3.2 - 3.4.

While I don't have any dual battery mods, if they were married in one and a battery drained below recharge value, I'd suspect some issue with the mod. Poor battery connection, maybe.

Dual battery mod users, a little help here? ;)

This has been a hard day on our family.

I'm so happy you got some relief! I'm getting started on my back issues. Got an rx for the anxiety day to day to keep me ok for routine things thst come upn & keeping the serax for nights h actual panic attacks. Scheduling MRI for next month for my back. Some of it is bone spursn but there is a narrowing between vertebrae in the spot that hurts.

My sister went to the Dr with me. Then had to go home & take Sara Pup to tje vet. They had to let her go & send her on her way. The cancer was progressing quickly & she wasn't eating.

My Mom's little sister passed this evening at 7:30. All the cousins stayed on Messenger with our cousins as their Mom began her journey yesterday. There are 13 of us h some one was on there with them the whole time. We were all there when she passed. It was an online waiting room full of nieces & nephews that loved her.

In other news, I also got my flue shot.

This has been a hard day on our family.

Wishing everyone strength and healing of the hearts.

I have a couple of different Sigelei mods. A Sig 20 tube which was my first post Spinner device, and a Sig 30 box mod, 2 of those actually. They have a display that is bright when you are firing it, then it goes to dim for 20 secs or so after you stop firing. Every now and then the dim setting stays turned on. If it happens and I don't notice it will bypass the function that turns the mod of when the battery gets low and stay on until the battery gets down to 2.2. Since it happens on 3 mods, 2 different models, I figure it's a flaw in the chip programming. Never figured out what triggers it, or if it's just random. And I never heard anyone else complaining about it. I got into the habit of checking the display to make sure it turns off.

That's my only experience of batteries running way down. I'm sure there are other ways it can happen.

When it first happened to me I only had a couple of batteries. I didn't want to waste a battery so I put it in the charger. It went up from 2.2 to around 3.2 in just a few minutes then charged the rest of the way up normally. I kept on using it without any apparent problems. Maybe I shouldn't do that.

Sad in a way but I guess everything changes. I wasn't around when the porch thread started out. ECF has changed. When I first got on here I went to New Members. I knew nothing and asked questions, most of the new members were like me. Now I go there and a lot of the new members are asking whether some advanced tank will work with their 200W mod.

I sometimes wander round the earliest stuff on ECF. I read through the first discussions about making juice and they were fascinating. Wish I had been around then. The political threads got quite ugly and combative after the regulation process got started, I don't even read there any more.

Have to take it as it is though. Can't spend to much time pining after the good old days. They're gone.

Adding glavoring & nic will change your pg/vg ratio. Nic & flavorings count toward your ratio. Example: I like a 50/50 ratio. I use a 70/30 vg to pg ratio base mix & when I add my flavorings (which are all in a pg base) I come out around my 50/50 preferred ratio. You can order your nic in a ratio like 80% vg & since you don't use many flavors still come out at about 75% vg.
I'm trying for a finished product of 75% pg. less fog. I've put together a list for a shop here, it's just the nicotine I'll have to import. It doesn't have to be exact, everything I Vape is menthol, mint, and sometimes a bit of fruit. I have to try honey suckle. Which brand flavourings or is it hit or miss. There's quite a few brands. Taking all suggestions.
