Ordered a Pico was posed to be here today. Built a parallel 26g 7 wrap 3mm ID coil, put it on the Merlin tank.......got it all ready....... came out to a perfect .3 ohm. Checked the mail......mail was there........... NO PICO!!

Trying out Minions Milk and boy is it tasty! Nice sweet strawberry flavor!

Gotta look that up. Since ii started being able to vape fruits I am all about creamy strawberries!

That's one thing I don't understand. If I have wire that's 1.5 ohm, and I'd like 5ohm, how many wraps do I do? Or does it work that way? Does it work for M to L?

Not sure why you would want 5ohm did you mean.5ohm.

Ceramic head update-

First, I guess I was describing them wrong. They are a SS coil with a ceramic wick.

I soaked one of the oily tasting coils in a cup of boiling water till the water went cold. Shook it out, primed it and filled the tank. It still had that taste, but it was less. I've let the coil soak in the tank of juice for a couple days and it tastes better now. Still a slight taste, but it's barely detectable. I'll let it soak a couple more days and try it again.

My guess is I was tasting the ceramic that wasn't saturated, and it takes a long time for the ceramic to get soaked up with juice. I'm still going to boil them prior to use, and presoak them in juice for a few days, but I think they will be usable.

I thought that ceramic coils used Tungsten.

@seminolewind what kind of an atty are you going to try to build a coil for? What kind of wire do you have and what Gauge? What do you have to wrap a coil on? What are you using for the Power? All these things need to be taken into consideration when you make your coil.

I had been MOL pushed into using Dropbox for the safety of my pictures and can also pull up my file on any computer. You get some free space. I must have 100 pictures on mine at least. I would install drop box, then it shows up on your file list, and you drag the recipe to the dropbox. Now you have it potentially forever copied into drop box. The free space they give you is a lot for what I have as a common person on there. It's much easier than any other way to copy except for copying, but you can pull up your dropbox anywhere you sign in.

I use both Dropbox and Google Keep. For this ol' guy, I much prefer Google Keep. I have my recipes in it and also use Google Keep for shopping lists and taking notes. I can update information on my laptop and then access the info on my tablet or phone. Very easy to use.

the DIY section here really harps on how dangerous 100mg nic can be if you don't properly understand it

Currently, I am using 60 mg/ml. My last order was a liter of 100 mg/ml. I have it broke down into glass bottles vacuum sealed and in the freezer. I picked up some gloves the last time I was at Harbor Freight. I think they will be good for handling Nic as they are also the same gloves I use to field dress and butcher my deer. As my bud says, "One shot one kill and many many meals".

One is Steam engine

I use Steam Engine and find it to be easy to use. Then after I make the coil I fire it and test it on my CM 521 Tab. Great tools for a simple mind.

Those will be fine, Diver. Many of us - self included - just bare-hand it

I do my (in)frequent mix down from 100 at the sink. As long as you wash off relatively soon, no problem. DO keep any splashes out of they eyes, although if you're splashing, might be better to wait until you're sober! DON'T drink it, doh

And when the time comes to subdivide a bigger bottle, DO let it come to room temp before opening!

I only work with 48MG nicotine base but I have never had any splashing working with a syringe out of a bottle or even squirting into the beaker for mixing. At 3MG total percentage in my mixes I am only working with a little les than 3ML. I have to ask how or what are people doing that they are splashing nicotine base around?

Curious mind wants to know....................

Jup, I actually got some in my mouth one time, 100mg. Just rinsed my mouth out quickly and it didn't do anything. Apparently there was some on my thumb when I'd depressed the plunger on a syringe, I put the plunger end in my mouth cuz I didn't have anywhere to set it. I realized immediately there was nic on it, but LIS, just rinsed my mouth and it was all fine. So getting a little on your hands won't hurt so long as you don't rub your eye or something.

But sometimes one might set a bottle down too forcefully, and some of us have been known to have bouts of fumble fingers.... trying to catch a falling graduated cylinder could cause a splash.

Due diligence is needed, but it's not really as toxic as we once thought, if simple precautions are taken. It IS skin absorbable, but it takes a bit of time.

Thanks for the reminders. I mix in my bedroom on the vanity next to the sink.
