Am I missing something? Those are driver emoticons and you are Diver
Not to worry. Another member had said hi and mistakenly called me Driver. It was not a big deal. I had made a humorous (to me) post correcting them, I had used a couple driver emoticons in my reply.

I love Bridalveil Fall.

You'd adore it now, hear it's cranking. :)

I bought some these, AW IMR 18490 (18500) Rechargeable Battery - Batteries - Battery... - OVEREADY Flashlights/Torches - Control The Dark™ , back in May. They appear to be authentic. I haven't had to use them yet. The site shows they have 8 in stock. :)

Thank you. I'll wait for RTD to restock, though I may regret that if there really is a shortage all around. I want a couple of other things from there also. Still stunned at how long it takes to charge and quickly discharge the old ones. The new ones almost instantly charge and take a lot of vaping to discharge. Future vape mail to look forward to.

yer rite! Saw the "protected" in bold. Jumped to konklooziunz. And yes, any kinda jumpin' at my age iz painful! :(

Here is a question that I have seen asked before and have even seen answered. I cannot remember the answer and someone is asking me.
Aprox how much nicotine is in a cigarette? Lets say Marlboro lights. If one used to smoke a pack a day how much nic were they consuming compared to now if they vape 4mls a day of 12mg.

First time I tried vaping in '10, what I read was that someone who smoked ultralights should use 4mg juice (coulda been 3mg but I remember 4mg). Um, no. Tried 8mg (coulda been 6mg) and was worried about poisoning myself. Liked the juice but failed to quit. It did however get me through over eight hours in my parents' senior building stealth vaping without killing anyone. That is what stuck in my mind and why I tried again, successfully, three years later.

I had to go up to 24mg to quit. Didn't stay there very long, but that's what it took to get me over the "hump." You likely know this but people shouldn't be worried about the amount of nic they are using as long as it works for them. Like many people, I reduced the amount over time because it kept becoming too much for me as I healed from smoking. 5mg is my happy spot. It's more for others and less for some.

Sorry for the long post, your question is quite valid, just wanted to give you the rest of the story if you weren't aware.

There's one person on ECF (@beckdg) that vapes 50mg. Works for him, he's a trucker, keeps us all safe. I'm just glad I don't have to stock that much nic. :D

I read the same thing about the ultra lights mgs vs the vaping mgs but I also think there is some difference between vaping them rather than smoking them. At least for me there was. I used to smoke ultras and when I switched to vaping I had to start with 18mgs…anything less didnt cut it. I stayed there for a year before I started decreasing. Now I'm at 5mgs and staying there.

Back when I started vaping it was said that the absorbency of nic through vaping was only around 25% of the nic content in the ejuice. So vaping 18mg/ml would equate to smoking something like 4.5mg cigs. Not sure how accurate that was though.
I smoked 1 pad of reds and had no problem kicking them by tootle puffing 24mg ejuice. Like most I then dropped to 18,12,6 and finally to 3mg.

I have heard the same rumors as to light cigs and 4 mg. I smoked light cigs and when I was having problems of not getting satisfaction from vaping, I talked to the clerk at my favorite B&M. He hooked me up with 24mg and I was able to quit cigs as I planned. Like others, over time I lowered the nic to 18 then 12. When I got my first sub-ohm tank I lowered it to 6. I had gone down to 3mg but soon raised it to 5mg and it is now my happy place.

he'd posted a driver emoti and said it was the best one he had, so I gave him a few more :)

Being a tootlepuphpher, I'm @ 'home' @10mg! No immediate intention to go lower...
After 4.5 years I'm finally down to 15 after I started doing .5 ohm coils. Don't care about lowering it other than to save on nic though.

So from all the above, I'm not nuts about recalling 4mg. I was/am a tootler.

I'm also getting the idea that if I sub-ohm 10mgs next time my father insists on driving...

I went down to zero for several months and thought I was doing okay. Tried a little nic out of curiosity and man did I feel a lot better. Then my husband told me I'd been a bit of a PITA off the nic. :grr: El Whacko was wise enough to keep his trap shut. :sneaky: My BP shot up without the nic and dropped again when I resumed it. I'd like not to be saddled with it but it's okay, I haven't smoked in almost four years. :D

There you is! I almost thought I found you today when I saw a local headline reading, "Police Arrest Alleged Frying Pan Assailant."

More works for some, less for others. For me it kept becoming to much. It would burn my throat and make my ears ring. I actually wish I could vape a little higher nic but my ears won't let me. :(

Anybody seen this birdie around lately? Legs is missing and so are a bunch of other regulars. It's okay if they are busy but the silence has been getting kinda weird.

I haven't seen LB around the porches but Legs is posting regularly on the BP. He recently fell and hurt his back but is doing better now.

RTD got the batteries back in stock and I have already ordered. :) They did say it was limited quantities and I'm not sure if that is standard for them or not. If you need them you might want to order now.

Legs was posting yesterday on the BP. LB hasn't been seen since Friday, not a long time :)

Bells not since last Wednesday... :(

I thought she'd been gone longer, glad I was wrong. Maybe Bells is working on an epic drone video?

Sorry to hear about Legs but glad he is improving. He's had more than his fair share of health problems.

And I thought I was the only one that upped my nic to keep me calm around my father..driving or not.

Oh no, you're far from the only one.

Thanks, see it was written by Oliver. Interesting tidbit, "I calculated that a typical 18650 contains around as much energy as two 50 cal rounds." :w00t: Not sure how 3mg is going to take her vaping style being labeled a subculture. ;)

For those with less appetite for risk, the Kick a was a small microelectronic unit which sat in-line with the battery and the device, and which could shut a mech down if it detected dangerous events. It’s not clear how many users actually used a Kick, but Evolv went on to become pioneers of much of the technology used in today’s products.
I am so glad I have enough kicks and fuses to enjoy my mechanical experience for the rest of my life.

I brought the whole crew out of hiding so I can switch off flavors. They have a special spot hiding in plain sight. I have a cold, so some flavors hit the spot just downright wrongly. Went to the Dr. yesterday, and complained about all my complaints preventing me from sleeping for five days straight. She wrote me a Rx for some cough syrup that took care of the problem. Insurance didn't pay, but at that point I didn't care.

I used and enjoyed my kicks when I first bought my mechs. They are very temperamental little buggers that would quit just as I sat down for coffee break, spend my break trying to get the monster going, get a couple vapes then back to work. I did file the plating off the top and bottom contacts, shine the inside of the mech so the negative had something to ground on. I have several sitting on my shelf, one stuck inside a ChiYou I can't get out without breaking it and 4 new ones in a drawer. I build too close to the kicks cutoff that I can't be bothered hassling with them and so they sit.

I stay around 1.7 Ω. That is the sweet spot; I can't really tell, other than the length of the mech, whether I am using kick or fuse. Tiny differences in the nemmys determine what configuration I use.

Come to think of it I used the kicks during my protank days, 1.6-2.0ohm builds were pretty well all the PT can handle with its lousy airflow(even with the airflow adapter still not enough air to support lower ohm builds). Once I started into kayfuns then wave buh-bye to the protanks, then the same buh-bye to the kayfuns when I got the kanger subtank and still vaping happy with them. I found the kick most convenient is that it kept power as your batt begins looses gusto so your vape doesn't suffer till it shuts off. I never used fuses and kinda think they are a waste but that my opinion.
