Oct. 17, 1989, right before the 3rd game of the World Series in SF, a 6.9 earthquake hit. Loma Priteta Earthquake. Caused a lot of damage and 63 deaths. Smoked a lot of cigs waiting to find out why the TV coverage abruptly cut out, not at all what we expected. . It was a horrible tragedy.

We felt that quake all the way down in Palmdale that day !

Those must have been some drip tips and trays!

He should be glad he wasn't there for that Big One.

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I have some tanks just sitting because of that problem. You can't taste the Dawn afterwards? Husband washed a favorite water bottle of mine, didn't rinse all the soap out. Never could get the soap taste out of it and had to toss it. The concern is the gaskets on the tanks. Guess it's worth a try since I'm not using them anyway.
I use diluted Dawn. No soaking. Just watered down Dawn & a cotton swab. Rinse well in hot water.

RTD is out of 18490s. I put in to have them contact me when they are restocked but, seriously, there is a shortage of them? I have seen random complaints on ECF of the shortage but does anybody have an explanation for it?

I saw this but didn't read it through yet so it's a FWIW link FDA Finalizes New Rule "Clarifying" When a Tobacco Product is Actually a Medical Product Got mad and quit reading, will take another look tomorrow.

I love driptips and have to say I was a bit of an addict for the fancy ones. So rather than spend a fortune on finding just the right ones for all my Billet Boxes I convinced him to make them and matching buttons for me. Words like It will be good practice for you LOL Now I have all the colours i want in the size and shape I love. I created my own little driptip empire. :p

Nice! Love that he did the buttons too. :thumb:

And if you don't get all the soap out ... thing about the cool vape filled bubbles you could blow out your mouth. :D

Been there, done that with the water bottle. Far more amusing to the viewer than the human bubble machine.

It would be nice but took a big financial hit this summer so only buying what I need or stocking items due to CA tax & deeming right now.

Since I'm well stocked on necessities, I've been eyeballing (inside my head, which aint easy) those ultrasonic cleaners. Seems like a smart way to clean stuff.

People also use them for steeping. I don't make anything that needs steeping so can't use that for an excuse. I will likely get one on down the road though. Heard nothing but good things about them from vapers.

That's impressive, quite a ways away. I was living in Oregon at the time but had extended family in the Bay Area. Scary stuff.

I was off the coast of China. Folks on the ship were really upset as our Home Port was Alameda, CA.

I can only imagine. You guys also probably had a greater delay than we did on news coverage from the area. One thing that stands out to me is how people, from all walks of life, banded together to help out people in need. Those were the days.

I bought some these, AW IMR 18490 (18500) Rechargeable Battery - Batteries - Battery... - OVEREADY Flashlights/Torches - Control The Dark™ , back in May. They appear to be authentic. I haven't had to use them yet. The site shows they have 8 in stock. :)

Hey ladies and Driver.

@chanelvaps , I lived in the burbs of ATL.

GO FALCONS!!!
Hi smacuser Waving.jpg , if ya mean me it's Diver as in scuba_diver.gif not diving-board-smiley-emoticon.gif or Driver Driving in winter.jpg (best I could come up with for a driver emoticon). Who are the Falcons? My stepdad loved the Ford Falcons and owned many of them.

Ok I'm confused (which is really easy actually). I always thought the best bats are the AW IMRs in red. And that they are the best because they are AWs and protected.
Yes, the red AW IMRs are the ones you want. They are not protected batteries. The old Li-Ion batteries that aren't IMR are the ones that need to be protected to be safe. The IMRs have a different chemistry.

My mods all have built in protection. I started with Sony VTC5's, & changed to LG HG2's for more battery life.

Goes to show you how much I understand about batteries. When I joined ECF I read everything Mooch wrote, read all posts about safety and bats and I buy only AW IMRs because hubby says so (he used to be a fire-fighter) and all my mods also have built-in protection. He tried to explain to me how all this works (ohms, resistance, electricity, etc) but he quit trying when I got that glazed look (that's what he said!)
