During my last mix I decided to try 100% PG - nope aint gonna work. I guess I will have to used 75/25 next time. In fact I am going to use a little out of each bottle and add a little VG to the mixes...
Can't imagine 100 pg, but I also have been making mine 75pg for quite awhile. 70pg for years before that.

Ding...ding...ding We have a winner!

I just got my Wismec reuleaux from fasttech Tuesday and so far I love it. It is heavier than I'm used to, but the squeeze on/off is fantastic - much easier on my hands than buttons have been. Since I can't move around much and one of my meds causes an exceptional sweet tooth I've grown a nice fat belly to rest/set things on
kewl beans! Hmmmmmm now I'm wondering about my meds. Do you mind saying which one it is? Pm me if you wanna. I've always known chocolate was one of the 4 major food groups (bacon is another) but I was always more of a crunchy salty snacker than sweets. Never was a dessert eater. But a couple years ago my sweet tooth went beserk. And now I really want something sweet after a meal. Doesn't have to be much, but I crave it, til I go find an oreo, or even jam on toast or something. Bizarre for me.

That is great! Glad you found a new mod that works well for you. Mods are a little like shoes. They can look good, be the right size & shape, but if they don't feel good then they just aren't right for you.

lol great analogy! I'm not a shoe person, usually never own more than 3 pr at a time, flip flops for summer, something warmer for winter that rarely get worn, and I do have one pr of dress shoes that I got when the kids got married, worn one other time when a friend's daughter got married. But........they gotta feel good or they don't get worn at all. Mostly I just wear my slippers.

I now keep my flavorings in an individual version of the drawers, all sorted out into separate cubbies for different groups (or that's how they started) and portable to the spot in the kitchen when I'm mixing. Maybe I'll get a more current picture of my vaping end table when I finish all of the rearranging and cleaning I'm doing to get my new (short corded) laptop set up.

Very strange. I had written a much longer post with my usual meanderings. Everything disappeared, got "An unspecified error has occurred" and there was nothing left. Tried again with a shorter one, same thing. Then went back a couple of pages, came back to here, and the post above had been posted.

I think the site is acting up a bit. Just a bit ago I did a couple quotes on the Reo lounge thread......but when I got to the reply box, it didn't have the button to insert the quotes. I tried it twice, refreshed etc.......finally had to go back and just hit reply to both of em to get em in the reply box. Dunno........maybe it figgered there was no way I could have only two quotes

Oh, and I forgot to say wahoooooo on the new laptop!! I think I did quote it, but also some of my quotes are missing in some posts. I know I quoted dancin too but it wasn't there when I quoted. For a few years now I've been using an old laptop of my nephews. I seriously need a new one. One, at some point I need to give his back to him.......and two this one is still pretty messed up. I used to be nervous about refurbs, but now I think a lot of times they are better than new ones. New ones can have issues outta the box........ but a refurb has been thoroughly checked again. Hope you love it!

Well got my 2 Siren 2's today. I built one and put it on one of my DNAs with a 3mm 26ga 6wrap .53ohms SS316L, When I first tried it it was gurgling way to hot. I had it set for 450 50w but I let it set for a little while turned down the power and temp and vaped it a little let it set a little longer now I'm in the process of turning it back up a little each time. It quit gurgling not hot anymore and vaping nicely seems to be wicking well also. I think I'm going to like it using the smallest air hole with single air hole open through the hole.

This is the 24mm 4.5ml capacity style, got it up on 440 now.

Good Morning Everyone...

1) I'm still under the weather.

@amoret, you can check here to see what oddball problems are having with the site or report a new one. Some people are getting quite frustrated but they are working on ironing everything out. December is ECF's 10th anniversary and they're working overtime to get it working correctly.

<snip>
I also tried a variety of PG/VG ratios from 0/100 to 100/0 and concluded that any ratio from 50% PG to 90% PG worked for me. I ended up with 68/32 PG/VG simply because it was easy to mix using my available stock of nic base juices. I mix one part 100 mg/ml in pure PG (of which I have several liters) with two parts 50 mg/ml in 50/50 PG/VG (of which I have 10 liters) for a final mix of 65 mg/ml in 68/32 PG/VG. (I need a LOT of nicotine in my e-juice.) While I was doing this PG/VG testing, I also discovered that flavors didn't mean much to me, so I've been vaping totally flavorless ever since. (Probably healthier.)

Right on. Hope they work out for you.
Well they are. I think the toughest part of building them is getting the tails cutoff correctly. Tried a 7 wrap and didn't work the way I wanted but the last build I did came out perfectly. It was 6 wrap and when I did it I got it placed then stretched it so that it covered all 3 air holes and make sure it is raised up a little, then cut the tails, I found some cutters that I can get in there and cut them as close to the screw as possible then bend what ever is left over to the space that is for that, wicking is also a little tricky at first. I use a full width of KGD then cut a little off each side and keep doing that till the wick just clears the bottom of the atty, wet them with ejuice and place them in the opening for them and all the way down, put it back together check the resistance, should be exactly the same as before you cut them, fill it up and perfecto. I found that even if the tails are really close to the bell it throws the resistance off by a few hundredths and doesn't work quite right. It's getting easier will re do the other today and they are doing exactly what I was hopiing for not so much vapor just the right air resistance wicking well no juice in the air flow. Perfecto mundo.

Well good news I reset my settings on my DNA on escribe for these attys so I had a 75w preheat for 2secs and 50w at 450 and works just like my SX G no need to rebuild it till it needs it. The preheat makes a big diff with these. Very stable for TC. Never get a new coil old coil question perfect. Also the flavor is excellent and you can get a pretty good direct lung if you wish by opening all holes at once. I like just using the 2nd from the smallest works great. Get the build and wick right and you are set. Well after trying it again still needs to be rebuilt just like the other. It's not bad but not as good as the other. Now that I have learned the trick should be easier.

I use the bend back and forth until it breaks method to get the extra coil wire off. No trimming needed and they come off perfectly flush.

Ya know I thought of doing that and giving it a try but I am able to get it with my mini wire cutters. The rest of it is worn out but the tip has never been used. I rebuilt the other and it is working as well as the other.

I have discovered that I like the way YiHi does TC better then DNA. Just seems to work better for me.

That is really professional looking Mike. Pretty amazing. Remember back when I was trying to use nickel and you used to try to tell me how to do that. I still can't believe how tough that was to use but at the time if you wanted TC you had no choice back then. Then I got Ti. I have a big roll of that left and 2 or 3 of Ni200, NiFe did you ever try that one? It was sort of Ok but nothing special. You want any to collect dust for you for a while?

I see the Ares is out now and it has some features I think would be a lot better then the Siren 2 but not sure if it is $12 worth. I think the price will come down eventually. I know it would be a lot easier to build and get right the first time. That is worth something. But I did get a heck of a good deal on the Sirens.
