Need some help...

Is there a difference between these two coils besides resistance? Neither are at the resistance that I will vape at, but I figured if the cheaper one is the same coil as the other one then I can just order it and rewire it to save money since either way I need to rewire them...

Joyetech eGo One CLR-Ti Replacement Coil Heads 0.5 Ohms (5 Pack) - VOLCANO e-Cigs

Joyetech CLR Coils (5 pack)
The 0.5 ohm CLR has larger airflow than the 1.0 ohm.

Other than price, and that the second listed will let you pick a different resistance, not that I can see. (And the CLR is rebuildable, about like a Kanger single coil, but bigger :) )

The 0.5 ohm CLR has larger airflow than the 1.0 ohm.

Thanks for the help. With the price difference I had to ask...

Haven't heard of any clones of those heads, and if they're both known sites the lower priced site would be the place - unless you want a different resistance, which the other site offered. I.e. the 0.5 Ω heads with the bigger air flow, as mentioned by Dancin' :)

I love that somebody almost always has the answer to a question around here.

People are disappearing left and right in preparation for the holidays so want to wish everybody Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and so on now while there's still a few people left. Hope this puts a smile on your face.

And for Christmas I give you irrefutable proof that God was mad at goats when he gave them a voice.

Well the only thing I see is one offers Kanthal and Ti one just Ti. I don't care for Ti anymore just threw a spool away. But it does work pretty well on TC which you don't use anyway Phil.

Give your ole mom an extra squeeze this Christmas. I, too, cared for my mom as she lived with me the last eight years. I lost her this summer. Sure would like to give her one more big hug this Christmas. We also favored staying home and quiet.

Hello all on the porch. Dropped by to get some advice...

I am finally going to start mixing my own juice. $40 for a 120 ml bottle at the local store just chaps my crochety old hide, especially since $6 of that is an added state tax (5 cents/ml).

I know there are quite a few DIY juicers here, so I was wondering...what juice calculator are you folks using ? I've been reading some on the DIY forum, and mixing by weight seems to make the most sense to me, so hopefully the calculator would include weight options.

Any other tips for somebody just getting into this would also be appreciated.

Merry Christmas !
Mike

I use the "eliquid" calculator on Steam Engine.

@Bolivar , I use breakthru software's ejuicemeup calculator

eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

Under tools there is a "grams set" option. I use
VG NIC 1.245
PG 1.038
VG 1.26
flavor 1
for weight values.

Mixing by weight is much less messy! Just drop slowly when you get close to your desired weight and if you are a few .1 off, don't sweat it.

Good luck!! Sure saves money (after the initial investment in NIC, PG, PG and flavors). Find a few recipes you think you might like and buy the flavors for those. With time you will get more creative. There are also many "one shot" flavors available at various flavor vendors like ecigexpress, onestopdiyshop and bullcityflavors. You mix your NIC, pg, vg and the "flavor shot" at a percentage and don't have to worry about individual flavors.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I found I already had ejuicemeup on my computer, but it needed updating- so I got that taken care of.

I'll probably wait till Wizard or somebody has an end of the year sale, or first of the year sale, or St. Swithen's day sale....something...before I get my stuff. I'm at least going to wait till after Monday, things are just too crazy right now to think with any kind of clarity. We'll have 12 grandkids over here in the next few days, and old grandad is going to need a little Old Grand Dad before all is said and done.

Hi Heretik !

Merry Christmas, and thanks again for the information.

Usually we have a big family & friends Christmas Eve but the Sister & BIL are at his family cabin NM with his family this year. So everyone is gathering at New Years instead. I gave Mom her Christmas last night since she had a Dr appt today. It was her first time out since she was in the hospital at Thanksgiving & again 2 weeks later. She was happy to have something new to wear.
