vape hard and love your furry friends... I broke down and gave the pooch one tramidol. I can't stand to see him in pain. Good news - I got hired today. Much needed after $1400+ of vet bills. Bad news, I spent a good long while hugging the fur baby not knowing what was going to be in his future - near or far. Going to talk to the vet today. *sniffView attachment 729379 (It's an old pic - when he was not so sick - <3 ) ...Poochie has systemic lupus (SLE). Sorry - zero to do with vaping.........
So sorry about Poochie. Sending positive vibes.

Congratulations on the new job!

Harsh TH is why I've reduced my nic. I don't think I can go much/any lower without effecting other things too.

I've heard people are working on a way to transform their already stocked up regular nic into nic salts. The results seem mixed so far.

BTW, today it's 7 years since my last cigarette!
I'm waaaaaay behind, but couldn't pass up your CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Pete;
I realize that with 100 mg/ml nicotine juice, only 90% of the volume should be counted as dilutant. In fact, I used to point it out when others didn't do the little bit of extra math. What can I say except I was lazy and imprecise.

However, my nic base is in VG. The 10% PG in the 90%VG/10%PG ratio comes from the flavorings. It's impossible to know how much of the flavoring is NOT "carrier", and I believe that even the e-juice calculators treat flavors as if they consist 100% of the carrier agent. I could be wrong about how the e-juice mixing calculators compute the components of flavorings, because I don't use those calculators. All of my current flavorings have PG as the only ingredient other than the flavor itself.

The actual ratio of my mix, because the amount of flavor in the flavoring is never known, but taking into account the nicotine, is 89%VG/10%PG/1%nicotine.

I hope you don't mind that I find it amusingly ironic that you, user of super-high nic percentages, with capsaicin-consuming abilities far beyond those of ordinary mortal men, find my flavoring percentage shockingly high.

I don't but you said you used enough to make it 12mg/ml correct so your nic is also in a base of VG I take it. 10% flavoring is nothing with some of the flavors that are out there. Especially TFA some of their flavors your lucky to get by with 25% when you finish others are different. This Russian stuff which I have stopped using is so strong even the weak ones the most I've had to use was 5%.

Hey I looked at those 1 shot flavors and they sound interesting. For me I think the one that is supposed taste like bakery plus cream. It's not all that expensive either. Some of the others I think would be good but when it comes to fruit flavors I don't like them too strong. And I don't care for mint or menthol. Plus the recommended dosage is only around 6-7%.

I refilled my toppers today, and ended up with a bunch of empty bottles. Then mixed, and ended up with more empty bottles. I was forced-- mind you, FORCED to buy more flavorings. Checked the DIY for what vendor is favored these days-- it has been a long time-- and ordered from Nicotine River. So that is my fifth anniversary gift to myself.
Happy 5th, 3mg! And many more!

Congratulations to @Myrany (wherever she is) and me! Fifth vaperversary today. :D :thumbs: :D To me it's a major milestone, the one I always thought, for whatever reason, would be the one that meant I'd really kicked the habit. I'm over the moon about it. I never, never, never thought I'd be quit for five years. Tried everything and all that. Thank you everybody for all the support. :wub: My victory is your victory. :nun:

I'm 8 pages behind and will have to catch up later. Was up to see the folks, raided my nic, great visit. Would have been without raising the nic though. Dad fell again as we were on the way to the airport, no one called us, he was taken by ambulance to the hospital next day. Luckily he only bruised his leg but has been mostly confined to bed since then. May have to go back up. Had a mini cold with annoying symptoms that are slowly disappearing but it was enough to delay surgery on my legs which are just killing me. We have gotten over two inches of rain the past couple of days with more on the way though. :thumbs: El Whacko says he barely survived his time at the kennel while we were gone.
Congratulations on this 5 year milestone, Tutu! Good for you!

Yeah, I do tend to quibble about 1% differences and then turn around and say that I'm happy with any nic level between 60 and 80 or that any PG/VG ratio between 60/40 and 80/20 is just fine. I guess math is more important to me than how my e-juice vapes.

I think my limits are between too much nicotine due to chain vaping weaker e-juice and making myself nic-sick due to accidentally over-puffing e-juice that is too strong. My PG/VG limits are between not enough visible vapor (to see whether my rig is working and has enough battery or e-juice) and not enough throat hit. Both are pretty loose limits.

I used very concentrated flavors (back when I used them). Opening the bottles would make the room intolerable after a few minutes. I used tiny, tiny syringes to measure the flavorings for fairly large batches of e-juice.

Capsaicin-tolerance is just the result of pushing the envelope for a while. It's fairly easy and fast to develop. Eat hot stuff for a while and you can eat hotter stuff. A friend tried Dave's Ghost Pepper on my recommendation. She poured a tablespoon full and tipped it down. She said it was pretty hot. I think that would kill me. (And I think it really might kill someone with low or no capsaicin-tolerance.)

Didn't get caught up today but did jump all the hurdles at the hospital, including getting stabbed by needles, and have surgery scheduled for the 28th so I guess it's a draw. ;)

@3mg Meniere, you go girl!

Our last dog needed tramadol to deal with extreme pain. It got to the point where I could "read him" and give him half a pill, whole pill, one and a quarter. Give him enough to kill the pain but not be bombed out of his skull. Just because they say give X amount doesn't mean they need that much, same as humans. I'm taking 1/8 of a pain killer right now though I've been prescribed 1 per six hours. Just putting that out there. Congratulations on the job and I hope "pooch" is better soon. :wub:

Whoohoo! Congratulations! on reaching your 5 year mark. Wonderful! So what you gonna buy El Wacko to celebrate? :rolleyes:

Yeah, right. Time before last when we flew up to see my parents my husband's ID was stolen right before we left. His passport had expired but they didn't notice going up. Coming back was hell. They bomb tested everything in the suitcase but they couldn't laughing about all the stuff we were bringing home for the dog. Lighted battery operated collar, bones, doggie blanket... He has more bones, treats, toys and junk than I do vape gear. :lol:

@DancingHeretik, you're joking, right? El Whacko quit complaining? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

That beignet juice I was disappointed in? Addicted. Ordered some flavoring. :oops:
