I've been paying close attention to the covid/smoking saga on twitter. The epidemeologic evidence that smoking is protective seems overwhelming to me. Then there is a very plausible mechanism, that nicotine is the active agent by binding to "ACE2" receptors on the cells, the same ones the virus is looking for. The nicotine hypothesis can be tested in a clinical trial with nic patches. They ought to go into nursing homes with a shoping bag full of patches and slap em on a bunch of the old geezers (oops, I guess that's us, mostly, hmmm...). If this real vaping would probably be more effective but patches are going to be easier for never smokers.

I started at 24mg juice strength at first about 10 years ago. A few years ago I worked my way down to 3mg. I'm vaping about 8ml of juice a day, so that's not bad, but my mod is either in my hand, in my pocket, or in my face. :)

I've planned to mix up some 24mg juice just to see if I can cut down on my vaping frequency. It would be nice to vape like I used to smoke. One cigarette would satisfy me for 30 minutes or more. Of course, no smoking inside rules in places that I went while working helped because you just couldn't smoke inside anywhere the last few years before I retired.

I'd spend an hour to an hour and a half working on equipment in a computer room without a smoke and going to smoke meant an elevator ride and a walk out to the smoking area. It was a refreshing experience to get away and have a smoke every couple of hours.

I make my own juices, vaping a Lime (INW) sft right now in a GV Aegis Pod. I've been vaping since 10/18 after smoking very nearly killed me.

8 ml/day?? [gasp] If I went through that much juice each day I think I'd die - and I wouldn't have time to do anything else. {3 mg/ml times 8 ml per day is 24 mg of nicotine per day.} If you switch to 24 mg/ml you had better be prepared to cut your vaping back to one ml per day.

This kind of change is very difficult; it is very easy to over-puff and get nic-sick when abruptly raising your nic level by a large amount. However, it is really worth the effort. Take one or two puffs and wait! It takes about 30 seconds for the nicotine to reach your brain. If you take several more puffs before that happens, you will certainly regret it.

When I began, I was quitting smoking from 4 packs of unfiltered Pall Malls a day (plus a fair amount of snus). I quit with 36 mg/ml cartos and stick batteries. Chain-vaping, they would get so hot that I had to carry three at a time and cycle through them, letting two cool off while I vaped the third. I would usually kill 3 or 4 sets of three stick batteries a day. (I had 40 or 50 sticks and nine chargers.)

Once I began mixing my own e-juice (and using better mods and atomizers), I soon upped from 36 mg/ml to 50, and then after some experimentation to 65 mg/ml (which is my current strength). I now have cut back to a little over 1 ml of e-juice per day (around 100 mg of nicotine per day), and can go (as you hope to) for anything from 20 minutes to several hours between vaping sessions of two or three puffs. It's really nice to have both hands free most of the time.

I smoked 2 packs of cigs a day. A single cigarette has a half milligram or more of nicotine based on brand and how much you actually inhale into your body. 8ml of 3mg juice is what it takes to satisfy my vaping habit daily. That's two Kayfun tanks. Remember, I mix 3mg/ml nic strength. I don't get a buzz from my vape, just nic satisfaction.

How Much Nicotine Is in a Cigarette, Cigar, and E-Cigarette?
The average cigarette contains about 10 to 12 mg of nicotine. You don't inhale every milligram of nicotine as it burns. You'll probably inhale about 1.1 to 1.8 mg of nicotine by the end of each cigarette. This means that for a pack of 20 cigarettes, you'll likely inhale between 22 to 36 mg of nicotine.Nov 18, 2019

You young 'ns sit in the back and bring your own box to sit on.
Hello and welcome to the Front Porch. We try to keep it vape related on the Front Porch. There is also a Back Porch in the Lounge where almost anything goes.

Well as I said, I smoked unfiltered Pall Malls. I also smoked them like a doper: a quick puff to get the coal hot, and then a long draw to fill my lungs, hold my breath, and finally let out a very thin stream of smoke. I also smoked them down very short; not much left when I was done. Just as I vape for the nicotine, I smoked for the nicotine. (I can't lie; I also smoked then, and still vape, for all the rest of the panoply of sensations.)

I have just discovered the world of Mobility Scooters, with my eyes fading due to MD I decided money spent on insurance and rego was a waste. I sold the car and got a Harley-Like 3 wheel scooter...but I also noticed that vaping outdoors adds a whole new flavor to my vape...also after eating food, taste buds wake up I guess. Before u ask it will do 15km/hr for up to 35km.....unless I soup up with better batteries.

We rented a scooter for my dad last fall so he could attend thecTex A&M game. He loved it. His little service dog rode on the footrest and would bark every time the Aggies scored. We thought about buying a scooter for my dad, sadly he passed away last month.
