The e-cig industry is too disorganized to make a strong media and PR push, so the ANTZ get away with saying just about anything. Caps and age restrictions are just about all the FDA's press releases talk about and, of course, who dare oppose protecting the cheeeldreen?

Journalism in this country is a dying profession. Press releases are regurgitated as objective facts and, should an actual in-depth treatment of a given topic somehow find its way into the press, people disregard it as TL/DR. (That's assuming they ever read any news articles at all--most people don't).

See, I warned you I was grumpy.
Amen!

I know... one of the main reasons that I don't watch the news very often. It's mostly just depressing and 90% or more is inaccurate anyway... At least if I get my news online, I can fact check stuff if I'm interested. Shouldn't have to, but I'm aware of the world that we live in...
I seldom watch the news anymore. I get mine online, too.

A little hassle upfront but it's totally worth it to me. I don't use other peeps csv files, I just dial it in using the device monitor to check my changes. Profiles are easy enough to set up. I set mine up for Ti, Nife52, 316ss, 316LSs, 430ss and Kanthal. I haven't changed anything since.
I like the dna200 dc-dc buck/boost TC circuit and think it has the flavor edge over the slower and dirtier output of the SX Q pwm TC circuit.
Is there somewhere in the software that I can speed up the SX450j firing time upon wake up. As it stands it takes >.5 sec to fire. The dna200 fires instantly upon wake up, something I've gotten used to I guess.
Yeah I finally decided I would load the escribe SS316 I'm using it at 485F to get the vape I like but it is doing a good job so does the SE SS316L elite really close to the same. I have never noticed a delay on the SX. What are you using on it and what settings.

Well I just woke up my Blue Q and you are right never really noticed it. Usually they don't sit long enough to go to sleep except at night. But since I got this DNA been trying to get it dialed in with SS316L so the Q's have been sitting.

It'll be nice to get an objective view from someone with both dna and sx products. Seems like most are in one camp or the other and whichever they have is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Once I get a chance to play with the SX software I'll be posting a comparison.

I am in the SX camp but their SW is crap as far as I am concerned. I just dial the TCR in and get my Joules where I like them lower the better. Not PWM it is FM frequency modulation. This is my first DNA and so far I'm not really happy. I think I'll try some Ti pretty sure it has to do with the curve of SS not much of one. Ti is much better for this kind of device I think. One guy told me to just dial in the TCR. One profile I tried had to turn it down to 375 to be able to handle it. Very much like the Lost Vapes profile but not as bad that one was terrible. Burnt my throat at 400F.

Well I used the Jaquith V7 profile and entered the TCR in at .00092 for SS316L and it is really good at 470F
Wow, your vaping at only .5w? Is it even making vapor? Looks like you need more airflow, juice flow or both.
This is the Jaquith V7 profile that I plugged the TCR into. Those others I wasn't actually puffing.

Ok better. You might want to turn down your wattage to around 20w. It should smooth out your temp. 50w is probably too high for a 15w temp limited vape. 20w should still ramp up quickly to temp limiting. If it gets spitty at 20w you can bump it up a watt or two to ramp it up quicker.

Just looked it up about .28ohms. It's been a while since I used Ti. It was all I used before I tried SS. The SS is so easy with being able to dry burn it but the Ti wasn't that hard I just brushed my coils with a brush under hot tap water and they came real clean. Could usually get 3 times of about 2-3 weeks each with them. Have you tried the Temco Ti? It is really clean and easy to work with.
