The nautilus was about the best I found for a clearomizer, at the time. I picked up a kayfun rta and played with rebuilding and using it and, then, more of them showed up and replaced the Nautilus' in rotation.

Rebuilding is pretty darn easy. Wire and cotton will always be around.

No kidding!

Is WA on fire too? Or just smoke from CA?

Some are going, yes.

I've found with the YiHi boards the closer you can get to the minimum amount of Joules to heat the wire in 1-1.5 seconds the smoother the vape will be.

Yes we have several fires burning around us and it is really smokey here. It's about 20 miles from us and that is only 1 there are about 4 in the surrounding area.

Did you get some V5's? I have 5 of them and since I did my STM's are feeling lonely. I need to clean them all and get them rebuilt because I love them too. They just aren't feeling the love at the moment.

There are, Kenna. I go when the store isn't really busy (with lots of regulars). Saturday morning is one such time. We also did a letter to congressmen that is available for customers to sign. The owner makes a copy of each letter, and pops the originals in the mail each week. (Got that idea from another area B&M.) And, of course, I ask every single customer I see whether they are aware of the situation, what it means, and if they would be willing to post on social media. That'd be my talons coming out... :)
that's fantastic!!

I retract any endorsement for the above linked heads. DO NOT purchase 'em. They are not of Aspire quality nor life span!

Aspire BVCs only from here on out...
rut-roh

Well my Kabukis finally shipped from FT.
yay!

Soooo... the first of my FT orders arrived on Saturday. No problems whatsoever with it getting through. :w00t:
yay!! Thanks

See, I warned you I was grumpy.
well, I wuz gonna tell you that we all have that same grump, but by now, you've seen that it's true!

Don't have to vape here the smoke is getting so thick just step outside evey once in a while and take a breath.
oh yuck hun.

Well I gotta say this DNA is vaping this SS the way I was hoping it would. All I had to do was add the TCR to the profile and bam perfect vape perfect temp lots of vapor. I'm a happy camper plus the way these batteries are lasting in this Therion is amazing. It has 2 18650's in parallel really good battery life I haven't had to take them out yet but I have heard they are a beatch without tearing your wrap. I'll see.

We live near Ft Belvoir, so lots of military in the area. Those folks can help a lot. And they're very willing to do so.
Belvoir is the street I grew up on. I know, totally irrelevant. It's just that it's not a common name.
A real quick HOWDY to @bigdancehawk and welcome back to @Bolivar !!!

Ironically, exactly the issue I'm dealing with in my ongoing push with the local scene & ANTZ at this very moment! Some may be following "What's Wrong....." and this month's edition has an article submitted by a member of the State TP&CP (Tobacco Prevention & Control Program) applauding the annual State Fair commission for banning ALL smoking AND vaping (attendees & vendors) within the fair grounds and within 50 feet of ALL gates. Of course he states that it is so wonderful that the fair is "protecting the children" and EVERYONE else and goes on to say, "No one can deny the IRREFUTABLE evidence that SHS is DEADLY."

Well, I've got some "refuting" to do so if you don't see me around for a couple of days, you'll know where I'll be. ;) One other thing that chaps my hide is the ad the ANTZ placed on the front page (in the usual spot) Stating that they are providing NRTs for free, so I called the number and asked if this was a one time thing for my day at the fair or was it free for as long as I needed them. The reply was, "Well, first we need to get you enrolled in a program. That takes about 5 to 10 minutes and then we can provide you with the appropriate NRT for 2 to 4 weeks. Now that's only about half of the time we recommend you use them , which is usually about 8 weeks, but with the money you save from not smoking you can save up and buy your own for the last 4 weeks or however long you feel you need them." My reply was that I am actually already tobacco free, I just wanted to find out if the "free" was for as long as needed.

I wanted to add, EIGHT WEEKS!!! That's RIDICULOUS! I quit smoking the same day I started vaping with modern gear!!!, But, since, as some may know, I have an ongoing battle with the ads too and didn't want to "tip my hand".

A MEGGA tip of the hat to @LittleBird too for all she's doing!!! YOU GO GURL!!!

Okay, off to spread unrest and discontent!!!
 V V
Sic 'em! You do it so well!:wub:
I agree. Very impressive. And much appreciated.

Depending on the ohm you should be able to run the Ti under 25J. You get a lot less PWM. I run my STM's with a, it's been so long but I think around a .2 ohm build at about 18J. Are you using the Ti setting it is really dialed in good for Ti.

Well, there's more to it than ohms. In fact ohms has little to do with required power level in TC. Juice flow, Air flow, Wire mass and Draw effort are the primary dictating factors. If any of those factors are increased then so is the power required to reach/maintain temp limiting.

Just looked it up about .28ohms. It's been a while since I used Ti. It was all I used before I tried SS. The SS is so easy with being able to dry burn it but the Ti wasn't that hard I just brushed my coils with a brush under hot tap water and they came real clean. Could usually get 3 times of about 2-3 weeks each with them. Have you tried the Temco Ti? It is really clean and easy to work with.

With a dna I use a custom profile to dryburn Ti. Temp set to 600°f with TCR set to .00600 at whatever power level required to just barely make the coils glow dull red during temp limiting. Yes, temp controlled dryburning! Some of my builds are 6 months old and still look great. Works great on a dna but on an SXmini and you'll get a "dry coil" error message.

Have not tried Temco Ti. I've been using Unkamen Grade1 Ti for about 18 months. Very clean and the TCR is spot on.

I've found with the YiHi boards the closer you can get to the minimum amount of Joules to heat the wire in 1-1.5 seconds the smoother the vape will be.

Agreed. When firing up my first build on a new atty I set the temp to 420°f and set the power lower than what I would expect is needed. I then gradually increase the power until I hit temp limiting in about a second while vaping.

In the case of the Limitless Plus it requires 105j to reach temp limiting in 1sec due to its monster sized juice channels, monster airflow and my monster 20g Ti build.

If a product isn't feeling the love, I have no need of the product. Sure makes vaping cheaper. ;)

I've never dry burned my Ti I just feel like it's not really proven to be safe. I have no problem getting a coil clean with hot water and a brush. I've never built a coil like that so IDK about it I pretty much use a 6 wrap 26awg 3mm coil on all my atty's with the SS 23-25J works great at 420F with Ti 16-18J works fine. Nice smooth vape. I'm thinking of adjusting this profile on the DNA up to about .00096 it still is a little cool. One guy told me he adjusts his SS all types to .00099. I'll try at 96 first but it really made a diff. Much smoother. Is the Escribe Ti profile pretty good? I've heard it was the Lost Vapes ones I don't have much faith in since I tried the SS316L on and it felt like I was breathing fire.

Yep that made a difference will try it like this for awhile. I need to clean my atty. I've been on vacation for about 6 weeks and it's been about 3 or 4 since I cleaned it and dry burned the coil. I'll do that later. I got one of those coilmaster 521 tabs and it makes it so easy. I build it on there and use it to dry burn it also works great I would really recommend it for building and checking your build and cleaning. Not with Ti though.

I have never figured out how someone can be comfortable vaping 20, 30ml a day. I would have figure out a way to reduce it. There house has to be in a continual fog...:D

My house and I resemble that remark....I'm offended......:D:pervy:

Stainless can be tricky to get right. It's low tcr makes it harder for a tc mod to control than Ti or Nife. 430ss is higher tcr but there are so many manufacturers of SS wire now it's hard to know what you're getting. Not all 316ss has the same tcr. Wire from the US may be 80 while some from overseas may be 90. You just never know, so what many are doing is settling on one manufacturer for each wire type.
My Ti And 430ss come from Unkamen, my NiFe48 from Zivipf. That way I can set up my dna profiles and leave them there. The only thing I change on my dnas is the temp and power level depending on which atty and juice I'm using.

    Howdy All!!!

Whew! My head is spinning!!! Not just from all of the research and typing a response but from all the "techno talk" going on!!! As long as I have a charged battery, a tank with juiced, a clean & freshly wicked coil and a thumb to push the button, I'M GOLDEN! Who says vaping ain't rocket surgery? HO-LEEE COW!!!

I sincerely want to thank you all for your support! I'm a little embarrassed to plug my own thread but the response article is ready and can be seen here; What's Wrong With This Ad? .

As always, I welcome your comments and suggestions. I'm cutting this one a little close because I've been trying to stay "measured" in my response and there is only so much one can say in 700 words (I went a little over this time). Also, there was so much more to this story than was on the surface, as is usually the case with ANTZ hiding their money trail. ;) It turns out that starting in 2011, the ANTZ started laying their foundation to "financially coheres" The Alaska State Fair into going "Smoke and Aerosol Free". The long and short of it is that from 2011 ($100,000) - 2012 ($65,000) to 2014 ($15,000 TWICE) they "granted" ASF $195,000 in generally health related funds but not to go smoke free. Then, last year, they granted ASF $10,000 solely based on ASF taking their "suggestion" of having a smoke free day. The also supplied the staffing for the "smoke free rest stops" and had hula hoop distractions and other "activities" for "the children". This year, the full run of the ASF is "Smoke AND Aerosol Free". The numbers aren't available until Sept. at the earliest but I can't wait to see them! Sadly, there wasn't room for this aspect of the story. :( Don't get me wrong. Mat-Su Health Foundation does some wonderful things, support a lot of worthy causes and even grant scholarships, usually in the $1,500 range. They help the seniors and a lot of other important things but it doesn't take a conspiracy theorist to see that they are also a political activist group that uses financial incentives to get what they want and that's just wrong. Then they word their articles like it was all the State Fairs idea to have these "Smoke Free" days and for the whole run this year. C'mon! Gimme a break! I wonder what will become of the vendors cooking on open fires??? I hope they enjoy the sweet aroma of livestock schtuff and deep fried everything. I know I'll never go again!

My apologies, I probably should have ranted in my own thread. This just REALLY P's me OFF!
    Okay, that's my :2c: :2c: :2c: :2c: :2c:. :D
