My, but the FP is quiet!

I went to the B&M, today, just to visit for a bit. A fair number of people came in, most all of whom bought juice (expected) - and coils (which I didn't expect). The manager told me that coils are selling like hot cakes, since deeming. RBAs, on the other hand, are barely moving. Folks relied on the shop to do their builds, and never learned themselves. Despite being told where to go (on YouTube) to learn, they don't. They just buy coils. Wow.
They still don't get it.

I was just thinking about that, today. I had a chemo brain moment, and couldn't remember how to calculate nic for a juice recipe. I had to use an online calculator - one of the few available for Mac/iOS users. Which got me wondering whether juice recipes and calculators will be available in two years. I think I may create a spreadsheet to do the calcs, just in case.

I have been scouring various recipe sites when I can because that is my fear. Our freedom of speech will be gaschmotched (that's a technical term) due to being vape related. I an sure Facebook vaping pages will be closed. Other web sites I'm not sure, but could be. I have a huge Word file of recipes. One day I hope to have the time to organize it better. ;) much less try mixing more than I have.

Would this do any good? (Haven't looked at it, since I'm able to run ejme ;) but maybe at least as a starting point?)

If you make 100ml at a time and use 100mg nic it's easy. 1ml per mg so if you want 18mg use 18ml of nic.

Hold on a moment. Is nic liquid 1mg per ml? So for 100 ml of e-juice, you would use 18 ml of nic? It just seems like alot.

I bought some ceramic heads from eleaf for the Melo III tank I have. I hadn't messed with them till a few days ago, and installed one in the tank. I primed it, filled the tank and let it set for a few hours. It vapes, but has a terrible oil taste to it. I thought maybe it might have some assembly residue on it, so I got out another one and soaked it in vodka for a couple days, then primed it and filled the tank again- same thing. I'm going to try boiling one and see if that makes any difference.

Is there something I am missing on using these ceramic heads ???
that's really weird. and awful.

I did ask MFS if I could at least get the labels, and was told sure, they could send them - with my next order. So not much help there.
what jerks!

that's so sad. I know it sounds intimidating, but it's so easy.

If you're using 100mg nic, then what he said is correct. If you want your juice to be 6mg then you use 6 mls of nic. I just checked it on EJMUs calculator. This is if you're making 100 mls of juice at a time.

So I bought 250 ml of pg that is 24 mg. Which means it has 24mg. Of nicotine per ml. If I bought any amount of pg that was , say, 6 mg nicotine, it would mean that there's 6 mg nicotine for every ml. Then add some flavoring. If you have 24mg nicotine in a bottle of pg of any amount, that's 24 mg nicotine per ml. Of the pg liquid. So if you have pg that says 24mg of nicotine and you want 12mg, add the same amount of 0mg. Nicotine pg. Nicotine comes already mixed in pg or vg, and gives you the mg. Of nicotine per ml. Not per bottle, not per 100ml.

Therefore. If any size bottle of pg or vg says say 12mg. Nicotine , it means per ml.

That's the way I understand it anyway.

(((((((((tutes)))))))))) sorry you're having to deal with so much and that hubby is sick.

Happy Vapeversary!!!!!!!! How many years?? If you can't find a way to do it, or get MFS to do it for you, I'd freeze it as is for now. But I know you'd much prefer it in glass. I would definitely call them and explain the situation. If all else fails, they need to refund your money for those bottles and shipping if they require them to be sent back, and you can get some wide mouth ones. Would you be able to pour into wide mouth with a funnel if you used both hands to hold the bottle? I'd gladly do it for you and label them if you wanted to send it to me.
Another option might be if you have any wide mouth ketchup/mustard bottles, or chef's bottles like these ....... if you could pour it in there, then squeeze it into the glass bottles with both hands??

You used to be able to get 6 of these at Sam's for 5.00

Hubby's really sick now, just like I used to be before I quit the stinkies. He's not a smoker but it is weird seeing the other side of it. Can't imagine how sick I'd be if I was still smoking. Really, there's no correlation between smoking/not smoking and vaping? Hello? Anybody out there? Hello?

Yes! That was one of the brilliant ideas I couldn’t remember last night. (Actually got similar bottles to handle the VG after reading that a while back.) @amoret It reminds me of another one someone posted somewhere. Ideally pour the nic into a Pyrex measuring cup and use a turkey baster to transfer to the bottles. I would use the baster method to transfer if I had to. I will eventually, have a liter in the freezer. Will eventually have to transfer it and am sick of trying to suck up stuff in a syringe. Primary reason I eyeball it in the final mix of a juice. ;)

Ah ha, getting ready to order diy juice supplies. Does it matter whether I use glass or plastic in the freezer for the Nic ? And the rest, pg, vg, flavours.....are they ok at room temp indefinitely? Can get hot here in summer. Was planning on plastic containers and syringes.

The others gave you good advice. No light, oxygen, heat. Glass is better than plastic because oxygen can get in.

Hope he gets well soon, FT!

PG?

Me too! His snoring is killing me.

PG? It was a rhetorical question, and I know you know that. :) Why can't "they" see that? Oh that's right, money. :grr:

So you can send some to amoret? :)

When I was rebottling I used a measuring cup, the sort you use in the kitchen. Easy to pour into because they are open at the top. Fairly easy to pour from there into the small bottle because the measuring cup has a spout. You only need a small measuring cup, I used the one cup size.

I also made up a simple wooden frame to hold the small bottles steady while I poured. I did it all in a large shallow plastic storage tub in case of spills. If you have shaky hands you might need to use a funnel.

I tried large syringes and funnels and both were so slow I gave up on them. I did use a funnel for a while. If you cut the bottom piece short, just long enough to go into the top of the bottle, the nic will flow a little faster. My nic was in VG. If yours is in PG it would pour more easily.

And if you sit the nic bottle in warm water for a while it will be thinner and easier to pour.

Warming it a bit is a great idea!

Thanks for the bottling ideas everyone! I do have a giant pyrex measuring cup (it even had a silicone lid, but that's one of the things that haven't shown up again since moving after the fire) so I'm thinking of pouring the whole liter into that, using my handy little cordless mixer to stir it up well, and then using the syringe to transfer from there. They even have large syringes with tubing attached on Amazon - for adding nutrients to hydroponics, apparently. Probably after putting it away in the freezer "as is" for a while. They did ship the liter in a giant bag, so that is fairly well covered.

I did ask MFS if I could at least get the labels, and was told sure, they could send them - with my next order. So not much help there.

Gary can help! :D

I would like to share something i found because i feel sorry for very old people who sit on their porch day after day night after night , what a miserable pathetic life thats got to be , kill me now !!!

Anyway, Ecig .com has the Delta II RBA head on clearance for $ 3.00 & wouldn't you know it i found the entire Joytech Delta II tank on clearance at Eciggity for $9.99 .

The reviews for both of them are outstanding so i jumped on it , maybe some of you would like to also.

Side note : I am not subjecting myself to porch talk at this time , when i am terminally ill with days to live maybe .

In a quandary here. Okay, consider yourself shot dead, point blank. ;) However, thank you for the sale alert!

LittleBird, thank you for for going to your local B&M and trying to help. I respect the daylights out of you for doing it. You can't help people that don't listen or don't want to be helped.

If you have a calc, can't you save it to your computer? I have mine saved and I'm the biggest computer dunce around. If all else fails, ask @DancingHeretik :D She's the ultimate math whiz around here.

I wish I was coherent enough at this time of night to answer your question, but yes, any reputable seller means mg/ml. 100mg is basically 99.? pure nicotine, which is deadly. 100mg/ml is 10% of that. Buy from a reliable source, be safe. I'd say please but from your posts in other threads, I'm sure you have.

Yup! Usually I mix 100, 50 or 10 mls of juice, because it makes the math really easy. My juice is 3mg nic, but if it ends up at 2 or 3+ a little, no biggie. I just couldn't remember anything, yesterday! Much better, this morning.

@clnire, I'm keeping recipes in a series of Notes on my iPad. Seriously considering writing them out in a notebook, so I'll have a backup. Worried? Who, me?

Went to the public housing board meeting last night. After listening to the initial portion, was invited to speak about the proposed smoking policy. One member was a real antz. "I have heard that some people have done serious harm to themselves by vaping." I made the expected responses to that. There is something deeper afoot. Fled after I finished saying my piece. The vibes were setting off my PTSD.

A snitch system that rivals the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century?
