I need to print my files for safe keeping....Yup! Usually I mix 100, 50 or 10 mls of juice, because it makes the math really easy. My juice is 3mg nic, but if it ends up at 2 or 3+ a little, no biggie. I just couldn't remember anything, yesterday! Much better, this morning.
@clnire, I'm keeping recipes in a series of Notes on my iPad. Seriously considering writing them out in a notebook, so I'll have a backup. Worried? Who, me?

I had great expectations fer dose ceramic heads. But haven't heard a general positive consensus yet. Glad I held off.

The "I've heard" but don't have any documentation or references to actual, legitimate, verifiable proof. Otherwise known as gossip, or rumors, or fear mongering.
I've been using the Vaporesso cCells since January, and like them very much. I haven't had any of the odd oil flavors that have been mentioned at all. I recently won one of the new Vaporesso Estoc tanks and am giving it a trial run right now. So far; so good. The coil is VERY easily replaced, and so far seems to be providing a very solid flavor profile from my juice. The best thing to me about the cCells is that I could get a solid month of vaping with no maintenance. All I had to do was charge the batts and refill the tank.
I don't have a link so take it for what you will. I think it was on Facebook. That the ceramic coils are not safe. Again, no link makes it rumor, but I have concerns about them. If I can find the story I will post.
I remember that there was a big scare about them right after they came out, then something else came out saying that they were fine... makes me wonder if that is just coming back around and getting started again, or if there has been some new testing? Not picking on you, Dear, I recently heard the same thing from someone else, so now I'm curious and need to do a little more investigating, I guess.
It is widely available from any place that sells concentrated flavorings for vaping. It is diluted with pg/vg & flavorings to make a vapeable eliquid. Most of us that diy use it. Its not unusual.

I am happy with my kanthal or SS coils, but that's me. Others are very welcome to try other things and if it works for them, fantastic. I just don't want anyone in harms way.

b) The subject under discussion was secondhand vapor and fire hazard. No need to discuss it yet. People have the right to make personal choices.
There was something recently from a manufacturer, discussing why they weren't going to ever offer ceramic coils, can't remember which company though. They included detailed microscopic pictures of the ceramic heads and talked about potential health affects of breathing in particles that might break loose.
I've not managed to find anything yet that hasn't already been looked into, but I'll keep looking. I'm hoping that they're still as safe as I remember hearing months ago... I really do like the little things for the occasions when I just don't have the time or energy to do a rebuild. They are very handy when the medical stuff adds up and we have a lot of appointments to go to. All I have to do is grab a bottle of juice and some spare batteries, and I'm set... much easier than dragging out my spare wire, wicks, scissors, screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers, cutters, etc... But I don't wanna be vaping something that is outright dangerous, either... I'll set them aside for now and do a bit more digging.
I've just been through the Federal Register for FDA notices and proposed rules. I can't find anything about this. The article didn't provide any references - e.g., a document title or number. Several google searches also returned nothing. Not saying the article is wrong, but I can't find anything that substantiates it.
Well I certainly hope the article isn't based on any definitive actions the FDA is planning to take.
You probably already know this and if you do ignore my post but you can just print out the notes and put the sheets in a three-ring binder. Or you can mail yourself the notes, then cut and paste them in a word processor and store them in your computer. If you go that route be sure to back them up on a flash drive too.

It refers to an article in The Hill. I couldn't find the article there under a search for ecigarettes.
I looked for other news too and didn't find any. I hope that this guy is just totally behind the times.
