@Zen Knitter - Looks like your vape store might be right. Don't know if you keep up with this thread
California Prop 56 - Hidden Vape Tax but saw this link today
Tax and Fee Guide for Cigarettes and Tobacco Products Maybe, perhaps, dunno for sure, this is were we stand in a couple of days but at the end of next month it may be a whole different ballgame.
Of course, "Tobacco products
do not include cigarettes," [their italics, not mine] because they are FDA approved. So there.
I have 2 strong VVerts. One, who converted several years ago, saw me vaping, asked, then went off on her own. She lives in Canada and I see her about once a year. Still vaping strong, does her research, and is very happy I introduced her to it.
The other is George's breeder. Yes, I have to hold her hand a bit, but she buys her own equipment and juice. I do clean/rebuild her coils, and answer any questions happily. She has not 100% quit the cigarettes, but vapes more as time goes by.
BTW, her husband, who I believe I reported had an aneurysm burst in his brain in October, is now back to full time work and doing fine. It has been an amazing recovery. If I ever saw a real miracle, he is it.
Yay for George's Mr. breeder! I don't know much about burst brain aneurysms except when I've read about them they are always fatal to the victim. So glad he is doing well.
Yo have discussed your converts and I love hearing about them and their continued success.
The "kids" aren't interested in the way I vape anyway.
You and me both. I never moved beyond a (better) variant of the PT1 and a superior ego (Provari 2.5). In other words, I've been cig free for four years and haven't progressed from the cutting edge (at the time) of vaping the entire way.

But I do still cling to a dream of helping an older smoker convert.
I guess I am in the group that hasn't had much luck getting anyone to convert. My neighbors both smoke and had tried vaping but went back to smoking after a short time. They just don't want to talk about the time they spent vaping or why it wasn't for them. Another friend again just says he tried it and it didn't work. I don't get out often so the internet (FB) is my main means of keeping up with friends and family. I talk about the changes I have observed in myself and how finding a friendly B&M and also how helpful folks are here on ECF. I have to agree with the fact that a person has to want to quit smoking for vaping to work. With a desire to quit smoking some of us put the cigs down the first time vaping was tried. Others of us duel vaped for a period of time before we quit. I duel vaped and when I decided to finally put the cigs down I set a date, my birthday, as the time to put them down for good. It was still difficult for me to give up my old friend. For me, quitting was 100% mental. I am very happy that I was able to put the cigs down for good. The good folks here really made the transition easier but it wouldn't have happened if I had not had a desire to put them down for good.
I thought of cigs as old friends too, even though I knew they were killing me and wanted to quit. When all else failed you could go outside and have the nic hit your brain like a nuclear bomb, the other comforting rituals of smoking and enjoy nature. I really miss it and that's what scares me.
On the other hand, when I'm forced to inhale cigarette smoke it's all I can do to politely not gag. I'm sorry they smoke but grateful for the occasional reminder.
Vape?,
Isn't vaping just a wonderful 'self-gift'? As said before, one needs the need to combat the reality of killing one's self with 'bakky!
I especially luv celebrating first vaporversaries.... and now yours... Grand cudos!
Oh so true nowadays. Re
Tutu's comment re me losing interest, it wasn't so much losing interest as it was dat vaping equipment advancements and popularity pretty much out ran my source of ripe/fresh 'bakky victims' in my AO, and wid me in my own 'happy vaping place'.
Regardless, it's still a thrill fer moi to celebrate a vaper's vaporversary, regardess of which one... but especially da first...
Diver,
As we become aware of our vaping health improvements
(not even countin' mental attitudes), it can become a v-vert
crusade for dose we care fer.
I just happened to be in a target rich environment during my vaping genesis and had a friendly AO. All ya can do is
try to help others. Don't press, but also don't be surprised when one of your 'attempts' seeks ya out fer mo' info later on! Dat's truly a
special day!!!
I know you didn't give up completely. I'm in awe that you converted so many people. Completely get why you "slacked off," it just stunned me at the time and we discussed and I understand completely. I know you know that but just want to make it clear to everybody. Used to be times changed over years, now it's months or weeks.

(Yes, some real improvements happen quickly, I'm talking about all the gimmicks, pace of life and BS these days. New medical findings from manipulated datas anybody?)
Thanks, I've got my vaping stuff pretty squared away. Just got an email this morning from UPS. They grabbed my flavourings from EcigExpress, and have them in quarantine. Snarf! Now they want an origin/ composition of ingredients/ end use declaration from them, and I get to pay extra for quarantine processing. Wasn't even any Nic in there.
Well,

. Maybe it was the vendor's name? I hope the order comes through in good shape. Perhaps next time order from the manufacturer? Maybe Wizard Labs? Don't know if the latter would raise a red flag. Crying shame this happened to you.
