I found the trick to clean the windows is to not drag the cloth too much. You get small swipe, turn the rag, swipe again then rinse the rag and repeat in another area. Its a big hassle to clean windows but if you clean too much window before rinsing the rag your just pushing the VG around rather than picking it up so it smears...looks clean but hazes right away again. I finish with windex and a gazillion paper towels. I just use Mr Clean, tried many other products but its not the product that doesn't work but how its applied to the window. Just spritzing windex or whatever doesn't work very well, its a 2 step process to cut the VG off the window so it doesn't rehaze the next day again on you.
We hazed our vehicle windshield the first summer we vaped so bad that the window didn't defog at all once winter came but a tiny spot on the bottom then went to the dealer thinking the heater core failed to later research its a con of the VG.

I came to the same conclusion as you about how to do it.

Paper towels are worthless. I grabbed up some microfiber cloths from work and had pretty good luck with them. Just spray on some Windex and wipe. As long as I turn it regularly and don't use the same area twice I can do the whole windscreen with one cloth.

Never quite figured it out. I have a suspicion that Windex doesn't actually dissolve or cut the VG. So like you said you can just end up smearing it around, then the Windex evaporates and leaves the VG on the glass. Someone said that Dish works better. Maybe it actually dissolves the VG, it's pretty good at cleaning tanks. I never got around to trying it though.

A lot of mornings lately I have to drive with all the air on the windscreen and let my feet freeze. It doesn't take much VG to fog up your windscreen when it's really cold outside.

I'm hoping the 29 gauge I have on order solves some of the degrading that 30 gauge has.
29 gauge has helped me tremendously. Not as fragile as 30 gauge, but easier to get a higher resistance coil than 28 gauge.
Seriously considering returning to silica. But I don't want to spend the time fiddling to get my desired Ω.
I don't see anything wrong with silica, especially in tight spaces. It's nice to be able to just wrap a coil around the silica instead of having to get all that rayon through an already built coil.

Easy way to clean the VG "film" off of the inside of your car windows and windshield, as well as the windows in your house: Mix some plain white vinegar in warm/hot water, and use a microfiber cloth or sponge dipped in it, then squeezed out...to clean off the VG. Then use paper towels or a clean dry microfiber cloth to dry them. Works like a charm and never leaves any "film" behind.

Did I say anything about it being organized? Or even neat? There are general spots for stuff, but within those chaos reigns supreme.

You manage to keep so much so close! I need one of those hospital tables!

I've always dreamed of a circular desk with one section open to get in and out. Or, even better, one section cut out that I can line up just right. So, I can be sitting on my bed and just line the cut-out up with the bed when I want to lie down. Perfect!

Of course, that means the desk would have to spin. Rather than me sitting in a revolving chair.

Wow, that sounds familiar! Except mine is strewn in one room, not four. This room is my bedroom, living room, vape room, and even partially my kitchen (I have a frig in my room).

Sometimes I wish I had an "alone room" like that. :(

<snicker>

Hey, it's better than her putting the nic stash in the sock drawer.

good to see you, and good luck with the DIY. It's really pretty easy and soooooooo much cheaper. If you plan to get gallons of pg and vg Essential Depot is the place! Especially since you plan to mix about 50/50
Propylene Glycol: Essential Depot

the one gallon of each with free shipping has gone up by just over 20.00 since I got mine a few years ago, but check the 2 gallons of each. Not sure what the shipping would be, but it might be only 20.00 ish which would make it a better deal for double the amt

use that SS girl......I love it and can't see myself ever going back to kanthal

that sounds so yummy!

I use these a few times EVERY day.

Glad the cyberknife has been doable and you got it done, or are nearly done!

sounds pretty close to me, cept I'm in a twin bed, cuz it's the only thing I really have in my lil room. I have a tv tray table on each side, and a window I can look out of. There is also a built in book case by me to put stuff on. When I use the lap top, I bend one leg up, and kinda balance the laptop between my belly and leg

Iffyyyyyyyyyyyy glad you had a good birthday. I missed it here, but did leave you a VM and a text. Luv ya bubba!

Good to see you! Yep, those eye drops are lifesavers.

I have had no problems bring glycube of base, many many flavorings and all sorts of gear over the border, as long as I have a detailed invoice with the price and even better if the box is still sealed so they open it to look. The guards change all the time so there is no way to know or get a "favorite" guard. Most times they are curious and proud of you that you've quit smoking, haven't blown your face off or died of popcorn lung yet. Its the nicotine thats the grey area and has different effects on different guards so I don't bring anything in question over the border to jeopardize all of our other US online shopping with a black mark to save a few bucks on nic.

One can get several rewickings off 30 gauge using cotton or the hemp I was using before the wire degrades and distorts easily, that was back in my protank days. Trying to rewick 30 gauge with rayon is when you really notice the degrading after a couple dryburns, distorting the coil installing the rayon. Still using a 30/34 clapton it still doesn't dryburn very well, using a 28 core clapton that rewicks very nicely but to get higher ohms(1.4Ω) required a 3.5ID 28/34 clapton that I had to manipulate to fit into a subtank mini RBA then took up all the airflow being such a fat coil, the 30/34 is a 2.5ID coil to get the same 1.4Ω and added bonus of being much easier on batts than the 28 gauge.
I've gotten to the point that its actually easier to toss the build and install a fresh coil rather than dryburning the 30/34 clapton were both enjoying so much. I'm hoping the 29 gauge I have on order solves some of the degrading that 30 gauge has.

That's encouraging. Sounds like maybe they've gotten over themselves? There used to be a lot of horror stories on ECF about stuff seized at the boarder even if it was just a mod but juice especially. Or people would have to pay a ransom to get it released from customs. But hey, at least you got free shipping on the wire and I learned things have improved for you guys!

I don't think its illegal to bring a metal tube over the border but bringing 100 metal tubes might raise a eyebrow. Some don't understand that both borders share info so you get yourself a black mark not declaring something or attitude or almost anything they document it then it follows you everytime you pass over the border or come home. Their trained to make you stumble on some question and then your screwed. I've never had really any hassle with either side of the border guards...be sure all your ducks are in a row, not smell like booze and don't try to smuggle or misrepresent your stuff.
Something else I found out, not sure if its true and not going to find out is on the US side they have microphones that can pick up your conversations in your vehicle from a few miles up the road so your talking about hiding the contraband or discussing something stupid they know when you get to the border. If they can zoom in on a postage stamp from a satellite hundreds of miles up then sure as hell can listen to a conversation from a couple miles away.

Oh, I get lots of company in here. Someone is always dropping in to hang out for a while. And, if my door's closed, the little ones don't usually even bother to knock.

But, yes, it is my room and only my room!

True. But, it's not just a little freezer. It's a whole refrigerator. My brother had a used one he was giving away.

At first, it seemed a little extreme to have that in a bedroom. But, I really wanted my own place to keep my food (away from the kids and away from the crowded frig with everyone else's stuff in the kitchen).

And, the bonus is a built-in nic freezer.

I am glad that ya'll were talking about coils today. I have rewicked my K5 3 times in the last 4 days and haven't been happy with the vape I was getting. I checked the log I use for tank juices where I also note when the coils are replaced. I use 26Ga SS for wire and my log showed I had replaced the coil back in November. I wrapped a new coil and now I am getting the vape I have been missing. Last evening I made 200ml of my ADV and it is steeping in a small crock pot. I will bottle it up tomorrow.

If you guys did notice it, new notice on ECF. Hi all, ECF will be offline this Friday (12 Jan 2018) starting at 8am EST (5am PST) for approximately one hour. We're applying some server updates and don't anticipate any additional disruption. Being on the other coast, I get to sleep though it. (What could go wrong, it's just another update? I do hope it goes well for them.)

I wonder what the legalities of random eavesdropping and then busting someone for coils would be. They sure as heck can't claim national security. And what do they do, tip off the Canadians? Are you guys even listening to us anymore?

I really wish I could remember some of the specifics people had said about the postal/border problems they had, it wasn't just nic. All came up in random threads so no help there.

To be honest, borders haven't really intimidated me since I was a kid and got marched off at machine gun point at the Yugoslavian border by the border guards. Leaves an impression. But yes, stay sober and polite and you should have no problem. Knock on wood. Still, your cross border shipping costs are criminal.

So kids and pets have a rigid no knock policy in common? ;)

Mighty impressed it's a full sized fridge. Must be a big room. I don't blame you at all for wanting your own place to store food. And it does beat have to explain that you hogtied the kids for stealing your frozen pizza.

Thanx for all the GREAT suggestions for removing the VG from my windows!!!

How about ejoose STAINS...(on clothes, furniture, etc.)...

Has anybody here tried Juice-Off???

Juice Off - eLiquid Stain Remover

..

I haven't heard of that before. I just dump stuff in the washer and it comes out fine. Worst case scenario I might try Dawn on it. But if you're talking juice with a lot of coloring in it, I'm out, never used the stuff.* For a buck you could be our guinea pig. :D

* Oops, I did. Had one vendor-bought juice that had food coloring in it but even that came out in the laundry. Hopefully the others can answer your more complicated questions.

Off topic? Hardly ... welcome to our cyber front porch. We also have a back porch in the lounge area of ECF.

We are a genial bunch (don't look at our history, please). And there are a lot of Floridians, of course. Stick around, you might find it addicting.

This reminds me of something that I heard about when I was attached to my first squadron after joining the US Navy. One of my mates was bragging about how great the cameras were on some of the aircraft. He said they were able to take a picture of a pack of cigarettes at 50,000 feet and the quality was so good you could tell the brand. After a friendly wager of a glass of draft beer at the club, he would produce a picture of a pack of cigarettes next to the aircraft's altimeter which was showing the aircraft at 50,000 feet.
